Happy 100th Anniversary to Bice, i wonder if they even know! 50% off cocktails is on their Happy Hour menu, beer is included on the menu at $7. One would assume beer could be considered as a cocktail but when i got $2 back in change after tendering a $10, i guess that wasnt 50% off. Perhaps a bit misleading. I doubt we are all drinking aficionados. They did recently upgrade their restaurant renovating it, they have 10 cozy high chairs at the bar, i gave a seat of mine up so two elderly could sit next to eachother, and i stood next two ladies closer to the entrance way where the was space for two more chairs. I thought they werent there because the chairs would be in the way of traffic. Furthermore in October of 2022, i got a beer then, and i am one to pay as soon as i get it enabling me to leave when i am ready. Upon leaving and already across the street, their staff did come up to me saying i missed paying the bill. My daughter and I had a beautiful and delicious meal. Our server, Diana, was impeccable, and the food was delicious. We decided to eat as the Italians do, by splitting multiple courses with drinks. Our party of five dined at BICE on Christmas Eve. I loved my sea bass entree. It was so tasty with all the flavors coming together nicely and the sautéed spinach was the best I've ever eaten. Thank goodness I tried it during happy hour because let me tell you it was less than impressive and I can't imagine paying full price for these meals. The service was meh and the food was just ok... nothing to write home about. Especially since there are so many amazing Italian restaurants on 5th ave. I would say fine for happy hour with decent prices then, but with what we ordered I would not be recommending to anybody to try. So I went back to BJ's last week as I had some family in town so happy to see if they put the chicken Parmesan back on the menu. They also had the pasta Bolognese back on the menu and a few other items. The food was five stars our waiter, Fernando was just awesome When I went inside, I saw the back room actually had regular tables which I had not seen when I first visited a week or two ago. I thought they only had banquets I was wrong. New Managers new waiters and waitresses new bartenders almost helpful and Service five stars so happy that this place is back open. We had reservations for Christmas Eve. Waited patiently for one of our favorite restaurants to reopen after remodeling. It was a disappointment, they said it was the same but it was not. No truffle oil in the butter for the bread and no BOLOGNESE on the menu! Many favorite items missing from the menu. Very sad. I find it unacceptable for an Italian restaurant to make risotto completely wrong like that (not using the proper rice for risotto plus not the risotto consistency, it looked more like a paella). For gluten-free folks: VERY few menu items are listed GF, but they made the Prime Benedict GF for me by serving it without an English muffin and with specially-made GF hollandaise sauce. It was $27 and fantastic. If you are good with fewer choices, this might be an option. Sometimes you have to go with the flow... Note: I am gluten-intolerant, not celiac. Generally, food is very good and service was excellent. My mom loved her eggplant dish. They bring a tree to hang up your purses, hats, bags, etc. Love that. read more

Wow, probably among the best Italian food I have had in Naples. Service was top notch. Water glasses always full. Bread was delicious with a fabulous butter/olive oil combo accompaniment and the staff happily brought more. There were four of us and we all ordered something different including a gluten free entree. Chicken Milanese was delicious, as was chicken parm. Wow!! This food is THE BEST. I've been twice now and have gotten the salmon with truffle oil over risotto. The salmon is served as Medallions and they literally melt in your mouth! This is my absolute FAVORITE meal in Naples. Side note: there has always been a line when I've gone for the 3 ish happy hour. (Half price meals and drink specials). The only issue is that during the course of the meal there were several gnats flying around that we were continually having to swat away and we dined inside. The spaghetti with the lobster tail was awesome as well. The lasagna was so very delicious too. Two of our party ordered yummy soup while my mother and I shared a fresh and yummy salad with the house homemade creamy basalmic dressing. They were kind enough to plate it for two. For dessert we enjoyed creamy Chocolate along with Pistachio Gelato and a fudgey and rich chocolate cake. THE PICKY EATER FROM BOSTON Review: Bice -Pronounced Bee-chay 300 5th Avenue South, Naples, FL There's been some talk lately...it seems some folks are getting a little weary of dining on 5th Avenue and ending the evening with a $500 bill. So when two of our favorite friends told us about the Early Dining option at Bice we were excited to try it! First things first, early is the key word here. Early Dining is available daily from 3-5pm with the last seating at 4:30 and you must order before 5pm. Also important; you can't make reservations for the Early Dining, it's first come, first served so keep that in mind. The upside to afternoon dining is the prices! The Early dining menu offers 50% of food, 50% off select Classic cocktails as well as $5 Beer, House Wine and Prosecco. Seriously...who knew such a thing existed?! We arrived at 3:30, definitely early for your main meal, but we all agreed that growing up we would often have "Sunday Supper" at 2:00pm so we willingly embraced that tradition. Frankly, I was assuming there wouldn't be many folks eating at that hour but by the time we received our meals the restaurant was nearly full. Bice offers several lovely seating options including an elegant dining room with white tablecloths, sparkling glassware and walls of mirrors. There is a bustling Bar and Lounge which included live entertainment and an inviting outdoor terrace where you can enjoy your meal al fresco protected by a large awning to shield you from the sun. Oh, of course I checked out the Ladies room which was in perfect shape. We were seated in the main dining room and loved the ambiance, especially the Gentlemen servers who were wearing white shirts with black ties and crisp white jackets. A very European touch! Our server Goce was excellent, offering suggestions and checking on us often to be sure everything was just right. The overflowing bread basket arrived as soon as we were seated; it was full of assorted fresh breads with a delicious side of unsalted whipped butter and rich olive oil for dipping. We all ordered cocktails including a tasty Sangria, a Moscow Mule, a generous pour of the House Cabernet Sauvignon for only $5 and to stick with the program, I had a Peach Bellini instead of my usual Belvedere Martini; it was actually a delightful diversion. The Early Dining Menu offers a robust selection of appetizers and entrees, all at 50% off Bice's regular menu prices. Our appetizers included Caesar Salads for $7.50 and the flash fried Calamari with prawns, zucchini and tomato sauce for $11. For our main course, three of us ordered the Lasagna for $12 (no, I'm not dyslexic and that's not a typo!) it was huge, cheesy, creamy and delicious, we ordered a little extra sauce on the side just to enhance it. My Husband had the Chicken Parmiggiana with spaghetti ($17.50) which was so large he brought some home for a late night snack. Other tempting menu choices included Grilled Mediterranean Branzino for $24 and Ravioli Di Manzo with braised beef, veal, spinach, truffle oil and creamy mushroom sauce for $14. We seriously couldn't believe the discounted prices, considering a McDonald's Big Mac combo is now $18! Our friends suggested we end the meal with dessert at "The French" right across the street where they introduced us to the deliciously decadent Chocolate Soufflé! It's a toasty warm, chocolate flavor bomb dusted with powdered sugar; the protocol is to poke a hole in the top and pour in the scrumptious vanilla cream sauce making a veritable volcano of sweet satisfaction! It does take the Chef twenty minutes to create this little masterpiece, but we had no problem passing the time watching the 5th Avenue world go by and sipping some Cappuccino while we waited. It was so much fun to share a "Sunday Supper" at Bice with our lovely friends on a glorious sunny day in Naples. We had to laugh at how inexpensive our meals were; proving beyond a shadow of a doubt, you can definitely enjoy a wonderful dining experience on 5th Avenue without breaking the bank! read more
