Date: May 28, 2024…read more I'm so glad I stumbled on this gem of a park!! It's so pretty and seems newly renovated. It's very clean and the kids love it! There's two playgrounds and some little things in between. My toddler loves climbing the stairs to get through the tunnel and slide down the big tube slide! I love that it's fully covered so my younger one isn't afraid of going down it too because he can't slip off! The restrooms are also very clean and plentiful. They sit right next to the exercise machines. They also have a parking lot next to the tennis courts but plenty of parking all around on the streets as well! I've seen the wading pool but never got to check it out when it's open but it's pretty big! Hope we get to check it out next year but it's always so much cooler in the South Bay. They have swings and ones where an adult can sit on the end while the child sits in front of them and my babies love it!! So much easier and more fun than just pushing them behind. And this way you can see their full reactions as they swing! Woowoo!! As you can tell, I'm a big fan of this park! Always a hit with the boys and love that it's so fresh and clean! Note - Manhattan Beach is pretty strict with large parties at the park- so you will need to reserve if you're hosting a party. Overall it's a fun park that's a perfect spot for picnics, nature sight seeing and chill days.

Ah, life was so simple then. And it's been decades since I've been back, and my, how it's all come full circle: came through to celebrate one of my cousin's kids' birthdays. It is almost exactly as I remember it, but with upgrades. There are more picnic areas now, the playground is up to date, most everything is maintained so clean! It was kinda cool guiding the kids to kite flying and watching them play games during the party. For a few moments there, I was back to my pre-teen self again. I was told they have festivals here once in a while, so I really should keep up with their scheduled events! I loved it then, I still love it now. Glad it's still around and still maintained so well.
