I cannot express enough the professionalism that Bicycle Habitat has. After my bike was unfortunately stolen, I was looking to replace it very quickly. After searching on Specialized's website - because I knew the make and model of what I wanted - I saw Bicycle Habitat had it. I immediately called and they explained to me their process of building a bike. In just a week and a half, they had built the bike and I was notified by email when it was ready to pick up. Before paying, they adjusted the seat for my height and I circled the block a few times. It was exactly what I was looking for. They even sent a follow up, asking if the bike was treating me well. That customer service is top tier. I will be heading to BH for all my bike needs in the future.

I had an excellent experience with this shop. Last week I went to buy a new bicycle, they had so many options with different price ranges. Zach helped me find the bicycle I needed. He was very experienced and knew how to accommodate my wish within my budget. I got a light weight Specialized bicycle, weight was my main factor for buying a bike, I didn't mind spending a little extra $$ knowing how significantly that affects cycling performance. He ordered my size and built up the bicycle, Following week we went together on a test ride. The bicycle was exactly what i'm looking for, very light, smooth, easy to use. Zach took his time explaining how to operate the bike and explaining additional tips on how to make my riding more comfortable. During my test ride, I had an unforeseen experience where I got an asthma attack, I was very grateful to have Zach with me, he was very courteous and sat me at a restaurant and went back to the bike shop to get my inhaler from my purse. He was also very patient and supportive and made sure I was feeling okay before we went back to the shop. I definitely recommend this store, and commend Zach on his professionalism, patience, and kindness.

If you're going to get a new bike from anywhere in the city these are your guys. They were so helpful even when we said it was a bit out of our price range that we ended up coming back after dinner and purchasing a bike because we were so sold on the overall bike value and exceptional customer service. With five minutes to go they put on a rack, kryptonite lock, and a bell and did it all with a smile on their face, cracking jokes the entire time. I will 110% be purchasing my next bike from these guys. Stop reading. Go now. Get your bike on.

Great service! A real neighborhood gem! I go there for everything and they never charge when they don't have to.

This is a very pricey place if you're in need of any repair. I've had much better experiences with other bike shops nearby.

I'm sure knowing more or less what I wanted helped, but Libby's customer service certainly made things easier.

On my Giant, they found a backwards jockey wheel, but I was also charged for derailleur adjustments multiple times and later learned the actual front shifting issue was a bent chainring. At one point it was suggested that I might not be shifting correctly, but the problem turned out to be mechanical. They also adjusted my saddle and stripped the bolt in the process. After multiple visits and additional issues, I lost confidence in the quality and completeness of the work.

Instead of helping, he gave me attitude and sarcastically asked, "What's 700C?" Before I could answer, I clarified my tire is 27 1/4. He then rattled off a bunch of other sizes before finally going to the back to get one. When he returned, he handed me a single tube, priced at $10. I asked if there were other brands or options, and again, more attitude. He told me it's all rubber anyway and questioned why I even cared. At checkout, I gave him cash and asked if he needed anything else. He said I owed him 88 cents, so I gave him a dollar, and he threw the change into my hand so carelessly that it bounced off and fell onto the counter. No apology, no decency. Do yourself a favor: skip this place. There are plenty of other bike shops where the staff will treat you with basic respect, actually help you, and not act like you're bothering them by being there.

I've been going to this shop on and off for years and recently decided to give it another shot,…read morehoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently disappointing. While a few staff members have been friendly, there's been a recurring pattern of dismissive and somewhat condescending behavior across multiple visits. Questions and concerns often felt brushed off, and explanations of services -- like what a "free tune-up" actually includes -- were vague or incomplete. There were also several instances where the work itself didn't inspire confidence. A computer mount was left spinning despite being told it was secure, and on another visit, a mechanic refused to use carbon paste on a mount, which didn't feel appropriate for the component involved. What's most concerning is that this wasn't a one-off experience -- it's been a pattern over time. When communication and attention to detail are lacking, it starts to impact both safety and trust, especially on longer rides. Update (Jan 2026): I later found out that a tubeless setup I paid for had barely any sealant in the tires, which explains why a flat wouldn't seal. Another shop had to fix it. At this point, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. I'd recommend double-checking any work before leaving.
