Forgot to take a photo yet again, but we had 6 different sausages, sour kraut and red cabbage paired with some absolutely amazing beers today for our anniversary lunch. Bier Haus is one of our favorite places and since we live 45 minutes away, we rarely make it out, however today we intentially made a day of it. Fantastic experience just as expected. I spent my evening here as the seating was comfortable and the wifi worked well. The German-style beers were very tasting and while I enjoyed the "currywurst" it was a little non-traditional. Stopped in on Labor Day for a bite. Had the Jaeger schnitzel. It was outstanding. Friendly waitress, great service, nice vibe. Good beer selection. One weird thing happened. Oktoberfest Party! Such a cool experience! We played in a local golf tournament this summer and won a raffle for a private party for up to 15 people! It was catered with AMAZING food, DELICIOUS beer and hosted by the BEST crew! The pretzels are honestly hands down the best! Schnitzel/Jagerschnitzel so so good, the spaetzle, the fries, brats, wings--you really can't go wrong! Worked with Brent on planning all the details of the night and it turned out wonderful. We lucked out with beautiful fall weather but they also had the heaters on the back patio, music, lights and of course just having the privacy area for our crew was so nice. The best atmosphere! In CDA to check out some art and decided to give this place a whirl since I am a fan of good German food. The Bier Haus didn't disappoint. First things first. This is a pretty small establishment with just a handful of tables and bar seating that is part of the main dining area. All seats are wood, being either chairs or pews. Service was very good with drinks being filled regularly and timing being perfect. We started with a Bavarian pretzel and what a great way to start. Perfectly baked and salted, and the cheese, oh so good. My dining partner opted for the Edelweiss Bratwurst Patty and shoestring fries which were both awesome. I had the Jagerschnitzel with white kraut and spatzle. The schnitzel was very good but the gravy was a bit heavy for my liking. The Spatzle was quite different than I've had in the past being a mac and cheese style dish. It was very good. The kraut was spot on and delicious. Overall a nice evening with some very good food. It is a bit on the higher priced spectrum, but to be expected when choosing downtown CDA for a meal. read more
