YES CHEF! I left this place fat and happy. Their service was amazing. Everyone was so nice and attentive. This was the best Caesar salad I've ever had! The ambiance is so relaxing and very family friendly vibes. I'm definitely coming back to try more.

My HOMEMADE pasta carbonara...yum zoom in

Hands down the WORST spaghetti & meatballs I've EVER had! As well the pasta carbonara was TERRIBLE w/ big fatty gross hunks of guanciale ( I believe because it wasn't bacon or pancetta. ) Our to go order was $50 including the tip for carry out.... For 2 meals that literally went into the garbage... The server was detached & just rang up the order & away we went. Shocked is not an overstatement for how we felt opening the bag of food at home. Let me state I grew up in a restaurant family, I know the struggles, financially & otherwise... & I don't give a 1 star lightly... but this " Italian " joint deserves it... I was so mad about how bad the food was I decided to make my OWN PASTA CARBONARA the next day! I bought fresh fettuccine ( bc Walmart didn't have fresh spaghetti or linguine ) & parmigiana Reggiani from Trader Joe's ... I should have taken a photo of this restaurant's carbonara but I was so upset having to throw it away & then decided to take a picture of the worst of the two ...the over cooked tasteless tough meatballs with ANGEL HAIR PASTA (?? ) I tried to warm it up on the stove... but gave up bc it was so disgusting... zoom in on picture.. I also included a photo of MY PASTA CARBONARA I made that my husband gave 5 stars for taste & mouth feel.... We will never return to this joint, buy your ingredients at your favorite grocery store ..& save $40 ...... Ingredients in My PASTA CARBONARA? 3 eggs + 1 yolk 1.5 cups of grated Parmigiana Reggiani Fresh pasta 3 cloves of garlic 10 slices of bacon Viola! Done to perfection & took about 12 minutes total...

We figured 2 1/2 hours was safe enough to be able to have drinks dinner and get over two doors away or so and apparently it wasn't.... We ended up having pizza at the Hive. I have to say my biggest concern was these poor young and hard working servers and their responsibility ---having to face the unhappy tables when everything is so so slow and so poorly managed. We were told not to go and should have listened. She (owner) overextend herself at the diner's expense. If she wants to have that kind of a venue with that kind of menu ($$$$) she needs to close down and enlarge her kitchen and hire some staff and make it work, but otherwise, as it is now it's a ridiculous set up...

This is a pretty cool spot to come and enjoy a relaxed evening. Pretty upscale and well thought out…read moredecor. Full bar and quite a good selection of wine options. The staff were helpful and professional. Relax, unwind, and enjoy yourself here. The menu selections are quite high end and sounded tasty. My food scene is a bit different than those selections so I asked if it was possible to try one of their smash burgers. A smash burger showed up and it did not disappoint. I can safely say one of the top 5 burgers I have enjoyed in the northwest. My wife was thrilled with her fish dinner and she even ordered something else and then asked if she could change her order. They absolutely had no problem with that and delivered. Next time I was to try their appetizers. One of the better spots in Sandpoint for sure.

Ciccarelli's -- Coeur d'Alene…read more As someone who has traveled extensively -- including throughout Italy, one of my favorite places on earth -- I do not say this lightly: Ciccarelli's serves some of the finest pizza I have ever eaten. And I mean anywhere. Italy included. There is something almost impossible to describe about truly exceptional pizza. At a certain level, words begin to fail because great pizza is not analyzed... it's experienced. It's the kind of food that causes conversations to stop mid-sentence because everyone at the table suddenly realizes something special is happening. That's Ciccarelli's. I've lived in Coeur d'Alene barely three weeks and my wife and I have already been there three times. At this point, resistance appears futile. Every pizza we've tried has been a masterpiece. Not "really good." Not "our favorite in town." Masterpiece. The crust alone deserves poetry -- blistered, wood-fired perfection with that delicate balance of crispness, chew, char, and tenderness that only happens when people truly understand dough. Every ingredient tastes intentional. Nothing feels thrown together. Every bite -- from the tip of the slice to the outer crust -- is a full gastronomic experience. Favorites so far: THAT'S AMORE -- red sauce, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onion, black olives & mozzarella. THE SPICY ITALIAN -- spicy red sauce, pesto, Italian sausage, red onions, fresh mozzarella, parmesan & basil. Ridiculously good. THE STELLA -- olive oil base, goat cheese, prosciutto, apricot preserves & honey drizzle. Sweet, savory, luxurious, and somehow perfectly balanced. And the Pizza Margherita... Listen carefully: A Margherita pizza is the ultimate truth serum for a pizza restaurant. You cannot hide behind toppings. It exposes everything -- crust, sauce, cheese, balance, restraint, technique. Ciccarelli's passes that test with flying colors. Their Margherita has become my weekly sustenance pizza. And then... The desserts. Good grief. Most restaurants treat dessert like an afterthought. Ciccarelli's treats it like a sacred continuation of the meal. I am slowly working my way through their dessert offerings, but I keep getting derailed by the BLACK BOTTOM COCONUT CREAM PIE. I have been eating coconut cream pie for over seventy years. Seventy. I have NEVER had anything like this pie. The rich saturation of flavor... the generous texture of real coconut... the black bottom... whatever culinary sorcery is occurring back there needs to be protected by national treaty. It is so good that you could honestly justify visiting Ciccarelli's solely for dessert. Also outstanding: * Piña Colada Cream Pie * Strawberry Shortcake Torte * Napoleon * Cannoli The restaurant itself is immaculate, intimate, warm, and beautifully designed. Seating is limited, however, and deservedly so. My advice? Get there early or go on a weekday if possible. They also offer lovely outdoor seating. And finally, the family behind it all. There is something unmistakable about a place built by people who genuinely love what they do, love each other, and love the experience they are creating for others. You can feel it the moment you walk in. That kind of thing cannot be faked. Ciccarelli's is not merely a restaurant. It's one of those rare places people discover and then quietly hope doesn't become too famous because they still want to get a table. An absolute gem in Coeur d'Alene.
