Couldn't find any reviews for these guys so I was little worried when I purchased but figured I could always find spare parts if things didn't pan out. Everything panned out. I knew what I wanted when I called so I didn't need to visit a storefront, just called and scheduled a delivery appointment. The elliptical arrived in great condition and they had no problem (or complaint) taking the monstrosity inside and down to the basement. They didn't leave immediately either, they made sure it was good to go before leaving. They also called about 2-3 weeks after delivery to make sure all was still good. I've had it for over 6 months now and it still works great. If I decided I needed to further populate my gym, I'd check their website before checking Craigslist or the unreliable big names I've had bad luck with in the Denver area.

We reached a major snag when we were putting the trainer together -- there was a small connecting wire that went through the vertical housing to attach to another wire, so that readings on the unit would transmit from the pedals to the LED screen. Ken made great efforts to help get the wire fixed, so that we could put the unit together. Between the two of us, he knew how to splice two separate millimeter wires together, reattach it to the plastic plug, and send us on our way. Although I insisted on paying something for his excellent repair skills, he refused any compensation for more than an hour that we spent on the unit. Yesterday, March 6th, the weather was miserable. Cold, windy, light snow and rain. Not the kind of day you want to be outside, let alone skiing. So I figured it was the perfect day to finally give Scheels a try. I ended up spending five hours in the store and taking more than 250 photos, and this place absolutely blew my mind. There were sports and equipment sections I didn't even know existed. The store truly has everything you could possibly need and then some. What impressed me most was the staff. They were knowledgeable and helpful but didn't hover every five seconds like some stores do, which allowed me to really explore and absorb everything. The shoe selection was outstanding with every kind of running shoe, ski boot, work boot and outdoor footwear you could imagine, and the shoe staff were clearly well trained helping customers. I also spent about 45 minutes in the luggage section, which was surprisingly impressive. It's clearly a curated department run by someone who truly understands travel. I spoke with a luggage specialist who I believe is from Asia and a serious world traveler herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately understood what I meant when I told her I was tired of hard-sided luggage and wanted something built for an active lifestyle. She introduced me to a beautiful 100-liter Patagonia rolling duffel with durable wheels, strong zippers, and soft-sided construction that can actually handle real travel. These types of bags come with lifetime guarantees on the wheels and zippers, and now I'm officially saving my pennies to buy one. The store itself was alive and buzzing with families, couples, hunters, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts everywhere. The only section that felt a little thin was the women's golf apparel where most of the XS sizes were gone, while the men's golf section was very well stocked. Parking was plentiful and easy. They had a pretty good selection The staff was friendly though at check out. I have shopped here in past. They have a nice selection of hiking and camping gear at fair prices. Have also gotten hiking boots here in the past. Have not found the staff to be overly helpful in that department in answering my questions regarding boots. Also last pair of hiking boots I got only lasted 6 months next . My next hiking boots I will probably go to Sierra trading post and get a little higher quality brand where staff can help me out some. The camping gear has all lasted and been good for us though The store has a whole has quite a variety of items in it for good prices.
