This nail salon is such a hit or miss. I've come here about 4 times & the first 3 times, my mani/pedi's were mediocre. BUT! Today was definitely a HIT. The young nail salon technician with glasses is racist. She made me pay upfront like I was some thief and then she didn't even have the courtesy to say thank you when I tipped her. The nails didn't even last the night and I was so disgusted by her nasty behavior and I didn't bother to get them fixed. I wanted to find a convenient nail spa, as well as one that won't break the bank. The price for the service here honestly cannot be beat, and not found anywhere else! I've always seen this place when I walked by it, so I decidedto give it a try. I went here for my first pedicure in May before I went on my cruise vacation. There was a paper sign taped to the window that said, "Pedicure - $9.99." You don't have to tell me twice! So I walked in and announced that I would like a pedicure done. They told me to simply pick a color, and seat myself at the spa chairs at the back. It came with a remote control back massage. So as I waited for my toes to be done, I was enjoying a complimentary massage. They do a good job on my toes I would say. They make sure my nails are all filed and shaped nicely before they color them. They give you a quick leg and for massage as well. I just wished that they would take a bit more time in the scrubbing part. Otherwise, it's a very spacious salon. It smells terribly of nail polish fumes (as expected), and they do pretty well understanding your needs. This is definitely my nail spot. read more

I visited this salon on Thursday and wanted a spa pedicure and honestly is not worth it . They do an ok job but not worth the $28 hot stone massage pedicure. . I feel like they rushed through my whole pedicure and the lady didn't seem to happy or maybe she was just tired . They don't have a lot of variety of colors which kinda sucks . I came in with 2 people including myself so 3 all together and we was out in about an hour and half which is a plus . However I wish they would take their time and put more energy into there job , especially spa pedicure which I asked for but I felt like I got a regular pedicure with just the stones add to rub my feet for 69 secs each . Even after a crappy job I still tipped the lady well . I really wanted to like this place since I'm searching for a good nail salon for the longest while but I don't think I'll be returning . read more

Another great time at the Big Apple salon we were shocked to see the negative review it is 8:40 PM and they are still open working hard as far as the negative review.. I was quite surprised! According to the owner, the bad review lady is black and unless she took advanced Chinese in college I doubt she knew that they were talking about her! My personal experience was not that great. The customer service was alright. I got attended as soon as a got in. But yet again it was not that full anyway. My first red flag was i couldn't get a design a asked for it was also pretty simple so not the best for them. The next red flag was that when she was doing my nails she barely put any glue on my nails, she put a bit on the bottom and a bit on top after putting it down. Which led to the worst conclusion the nails lifted the same day i got them, which is a waste of 30 dollars. Also, i don't get why its 30 dollars gel nails are usually 30 but she said "3 colors so 30 dollars" Some pros where that the nails actually came out okay besides the bubbles in the nail polish. But if you really want at least decent nails and stable ones then i don't really recommend coming here. read more

This place is shit, sat down for a pedicure and the lady working on me rushed through the whole process. Let me add this was my first pedi of the season and I know I needed love. She got lazy and used a machine to cut my cuticle and ended up gouging my nail. Then she didn't clean under my nails after I asked her to clean under my nails all she did was pretend to cut around my cuticle. Didn't address my ingrown then she "scrubbed" my feet which was just a quick once over then she massaged my feet with liquid soap which she wiped off with a wet rag. Then I asked her to stop because she was t doing what I asked. The technician got mad at me for not telling her what I wanted. Which I did when I asked her to clean under my nails. I then told her I would pay her for the work she did so far because I didn't want to continue they charged me 15 dollars. Biggest waste of time and money. I saw the workers pouring something into the,nail polish bottles. Possibly to extend the nail polish. Many of the nail polish bottles look like they should be thrown out. The only reason I seem to keep coming here is because it is convenient. I live in the area so it's easy to get to. If you're looking for the worlds FASTEST but not so great mani and pedi this is the place for you. The women that do your pedicure barely touch or scrub your feet. Last time I came here they left the back of my feet still with dead skin that you could visibly see. I made the mistake of taking my aunt and cousin here because we were in dire need of mani and pedi and did not want to drive all out of the way but this was a huge mistake. My aunt kept trying to tell the woman doing her pedi that she left a lot of "junk" (for lack of a better word) but the woman simply told her "NO" and was refusing to go back and get all the cuticles and stuff she left behind. I had to intervene letting her know that she was NOT doing a her job and if we are paying for a service we should receive what we pay for. Went there years ago and I was actually very happy with the service. I went there this past Saturday to get a fill-in and horrible is not even the word. A man did my nails and as he was buffing my nails with the machine, he literally burnt my skin on 3 fingers. You would think the first 2 times I pulled away, he would get the message he was hurting me. I didn't even realize how bumpy and uneven my nails are until later that night.
