Its tough reviewing a place that has such a big selection to choose from. I liked their regular cheese pizza but I thought it lacked a bit on taste and could probably use a bit more sauce. I really enjoyed the Vodka sauce pizza which was interesting but good. It is a good choice for the area but after having some of the best Pizza on Staten Island its hard to settle. I guess it really is that NYC water that makes the difference. :D

Go to pizza and Italian by our house. Delivery is a breeze with mobile ordering and always quick. Food comes nicely packed and accurate. Pizzas are great and one of the best in the area. Italian dishes are spot on too and great value!

Big Apple is our go to pizza place in town. You can dine in but there aren't many tables. The delivery is always quick and you can place your order online. The pizza is as close to NY as you can get around this area. The wraps and sandwiches are always good as well.

This place was high up on my places to order from until yesterday when I ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and it came with a cigarette butt on the pizza which is just absolutely disgusting I for one will never order from here again... Than to make matters better I called up the place to tell the manager and he told me that there's no way it came from their place and was basically saying I put it on the pizza myself when I have never had a cigarette in my life , great management not taking responsibility for their actions and try to pin the blame on others this place is absolutely disgusting don't order from here

This was the first pie I ordered and the condition it was in when it got to me

UPDATE: i decided to give them another try as they are the only one who does a proper Grandmas Pie in the area. I have been pleasantly surprised and have order from them about 10 times since. Everything is amazing and good quality, people are extremely nice and so are the delivery people. Well done! 8/18/20 It is sad that I have to write this as I've been a very big fan of Big Apple Pizza for years now. Up until recently, their food was consistently good, as was their service. In the past couple of months I have noticed the quality of their food declining and the mistakes start happening...I've never said anything until tonight. I ordered the Freddy's Alfredo Pan Pie as it's one of my favorites. 40 mins later, the pizza gets delivered and the pizza was destroyed...Alfredo sauce was everywhere in the box...I called up and spoke with the manager who said i will have another pizza at my door in 15...i explained to him that I hate to complain but I can't eat this...I heard silence on the phone...literally, no background noise or anything...I said hello?? And he unmuted me and said like I said I'm sorry but I will have another pizza at your door and just give that pizza to the delivery guy so I can see if it was his fault or not...ummm, ok...I have never been asked to give a product that was wrong back and thought this was very unprofessional but hey, what the heck am I going to do with it anyway? So fast forward another 45 minutes, the delivery guy brought me a new pizza and took the old one. I open the pizza up and it isn't a pan pie but regular crust...really?!?! So I call up again and spoke with the manager and he told me that I must have ordered it wrong bc the ticket says regular crust. I told him, on the menu, the Freddy's Alfredo is under the pan pie so why would I do that? He follows up with saying well maybe the girl who took your order put it in wrong...I said well, maybe she needs to be retrained...to which the reply I got was no, she's been here for years. Who says that? The unprofessionalism and the nastiness as well as the declining quality of the food is enough for me to say I will no longer be ordering from them again...save yourself from the aggravation and skip this place..

To say I was disappointed in this place is an understatement…read more My spouse and I went there more than once and we enjoyed the atmosphere and the food very nice, quiet and respectful place. Unfortunately not today. The server seemed inexperienced and was not attentive to the customer's needs and when she was confronted , she didn't care. The Owner for some reason brought their children to the establishment and they were uncontrollable, yelling and screaming bumping into tables, not a good atmosphere for a restaurant. If you own an establishment, I would suggest hire a babysitter. To have children yelling and screaming, it kills the atmosphere. And ruins the experience. PLUS WE WERE SO CLOSE TO THE OVEN Where they make the pizza so they saw us waiting they LITERALLY served everyone else around us except for our table. Lastly when we were finally served, they only sent us one order MIND YOU only after we complained when we had 4 at the table who ordered and we were waited for said Orders for the past 35 minutes. I TOLD THEM NO...take it back please why would take one order after waiting that long..... That was the last straw for me, I asked for the check and left... No one said sorry and no one cared im hoping the color of our skin wasn't a factor but these days its not impossible. This was a very disappointing, disgusting and unfortunate experience. I will not be returning to this establishment nor recommend anyone to come.

This review will focus more on the owner and his staff. Last week I reached out directly to Marc, the owner, as I've done in the past being a loyal repeat customer. My wife and I were hosting a get together at our house yesterday and needed to place an order. Sadly, we needed the order to be picked up before their usual business hours. Marc immediately offered to have his guys come in a bit early just to accommodate our order. When I got there yesterday for pick up, I was greeted warmly and offered an espresso on the house while I waited. What an experience! There are plenty other businesses in this area who would not do this, ever. Marc appreciates the support and loyalty and it truly shows. Of course everything was a major hit with our guests as well. You can pizza many other places, even in the former Nola's location coincidentally. What you can't get is treated like family. Thank you Marc, Steve, and the entire crew!

I moved…read moreto and lived in Cranford for 33 years and this was a consistent "go to" pizza shop (yes, they sell other Italian food, but I go to pizzerias to eat pizza). I recently returned to Cranford for a visit and had to make "my pizzeria" a stop. Upon entering, I was greeted by new and friendly faces. I got engaged in a conversation with Dad of the owner, a man who grew up in the Bronx - where you could find great pizza when I was a kid. I am pleased to say that the new ownership is upholding the New York pizza standard well: if you want genuine NY pizza, this is a worthy stop. Manga!

DoorDash Pizza Diaries - Calabria Pizza…read more Another dash, another slice--because if I deliver it, I have to try it. That's the rule. Calabria Pizza is one of those solid, no-nonsense neighborhood spots that knows exactly what it's doing. The pizza hits that sweet spot: a nicely cooked crust with just the right chew, sauce that's flavorful without being overpowering, and cheese that's balanced--not greasy, not sliding off the slice and ruining your shirt mid-bite (we've all been there). From a Dasher's perspective, orders were ready on time, staff was chill, and pickups were smooth--which already puts them ahead of half the places I visit. From an eater's perspective? This is dependable, classic pizza you'd happily order again on a random Tuesday when cooking feels like a personal attack. Is it trying to reinvent pizza? Nope. Is it doing the fundamentals right? Absolutely. If you're ordering through DoorDash or grabbing a slice in person, Calabria Pizza is a safe bet--and in the pizza world, that's high praise. Final verdict: out of 5 Reliable slices, good balance, and Dasher-approved efficiency. I'd dash it--and eat it--again.

Great conversation with the owner while we waited, and learned he had a spot near Asbury Park before moving here and opening this location. They do some cool things like "2 foot slices" (for those days you only want a slice lol). Countless specialty pies if you are in the mood for unique offerings. A large cheese pie is less than what you would pay at a chain- that's a huge win win- support local! After getting our hot pizza, my wife and I knew 2 bites in that we would be coming back. Great flavor on the sauce and quality cheese. They cook their pies half in the pan and half on the stone and the crust is almost airy with just the right amount of crunch at the end.
