I ordered a pepperoni pizza, a two liter sprite and tiramisu last night from them through GrubHub. The estimated delivery time came and went, so I called the restaurant to see if it was on its way. It was not. But I was promised I would receive my order "very soon." Within a few minutes, an order did indeed show up. However, it was not my order. What I received: a cold half cheese, half pepperoni pizza, two liter Pepsi and no tiramisu. I'm not sure what happened but the switcheroo was odd. Surely they knew we'd notice, right? Hankering for a taste of pizza on a Sunday afternoon drove me to had offer to the Big Apple - not NYC but the pizza place. The interior place is slim and small boasting darker tone colors of dark red and black. The menu at a variety of coupons that were attached to it that or able to be used when ordering at the counter. The service was a bit off of one lady came over and greeted us and asked us if we were dining in or taking out but she was friendly to step away and let us look over the menu. However when we were ready to make the orders she was deeply engrossed and a phone conversation which I wasn't sure if it was with a friend or someone that she knew. But one of the employees did come up and quickly took my order. We did decide to take the pizza home and the way it wasn't that long however after eating the pizza it had tasted like we picked it up 20 minutes after it was ready. The crust was a little bit hard and the cheese wasn't as hard as I thought it would have been. The one thing that was definitely lacking was a little bit of a cleaner look inside the restaurant and also for the staff to you have business shirts because it did not look like they were workers that were there and if they were I wouldn't have been able to tell. Even the delivery driver just had a regular shirt on. Apart from everything else it was worth a shot of trying this pizza place but I think the Apple fell on the floor. read more

I have finally decided to review this place after two orders. Both orders were their family sized Stromboli. First was the meat lovers option and this time was their supreme. This thing will feed a family of three easily as it is pretty big and very filling. It is loaded with toppings and cheesy goodness. Easily the best that I've had in the 757. Their wings are also on point. Crispy, yet juicy and full of flavor. We got the hot, but it was more like medium really. Still, very good wings and amazing Stromboli. LOVE this place!!! The food is DELICIOUS, the hospitality is AMAZING, and it is a CUTE little place! I noticed while driving by that they had opened in place of a former hot dog spot in this somewhat sleepy shopping strip that also houses a Farm Fresh. I ventured in to try just a slice at first, and ended up getting a lunch combo they offer that comes with a slice, 6 wings, and a drink for $7.99. There were two young guys and one girl there working at the time (turns out the two young gentlemen are actually brothers) Everyone was very warm and welcoming and very helpful with my order. We all had a nice little chat as I waited for my order. The restaurant has about 4 tables that can each seat 4 people. They are covered with the classic red gingham table cloths, which adds a nice touch. The walls are adorned in a NY theme, including a black and white mural of NYC, and there is one large TV. I brought my food back to work and had a co-worker try it as well, and we both loved the pizza and the wings! Their pizza dough is obviously fresh and has a nice little crunch to it, without being too thick. The sauce has a very nice flavor as well. The chicken wings were wonderfully crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, which is how I prefer them. I returned a few days later, with some friends in tow, and we ordered a special which includes an 18" pizza, 10 wings, garlic knots and a 2 liter soda for just $22.99. We were all VERY happy with all of the food! The pizza and wings, still on point, and the garlic knots were some of the best I've ever had!......and once again, everyone was VERY hospitable (listen: I worked in the restaurant business for many years and that means EVERYTHING!) For 5$ you get two large slices and a drink. what I like about the pie is the sauce. its not super sweet, it has some flavor to it and it doesnt taste "can'ie" lol. the Cheese sauce ratio is great. the toppings are awesome. Was pleased with the quick service, but the pizza was what my husband referred to as "middle school lunch pizza." The tomato sauce tasted canned without any flavor; related to that, there was no seasoning on the pizza. On a positive note, the crust was crispy. We ordered the carrot cake for dessert. My boyfriend and I ordered bacon cheese fries, stromboli, cheese steak, cheese cake, and garlic knots. Total was $30 with tip and the garlic knots were free with coupon. Well I'm glad the garlic knots were free because they were awful. I don't know exactly what it was about them but there was a funky taste; neither me nor my boyfriend finished a whole one (and there were a lot). The bacon fries and stromboli were okay. I've had much better of both from other pizza places, so I wouldn't order these two from here again. The cheese steak and the cheese cake were both good according to my boyfriend. He finished both. The price is decent especially because the stromboli feeds two, but I wouldn't order my go to comfort food from here again. I would like to try their Bianca pizza though. The mozzarella sticks were more solid so when you bite into them the whole cheese center pulled out of the crispy part. No biggie just reheated them, but the marinara was not that flavorful either. The fried raviolis had chewy dough and no flavor on the crust or the cheese center. I really wish they would just do more with the pre made fryer food. The wings needed more time in the fryer, they were a bit slimy and the sauce lacked flavor/depth. I could have went to food lion across the street from this place, bought all the same ingredients, and made better food myself. My family and I traveled for the 4th of July holiday to Virginia. It was late and we were tired and hungry. Our hotel provided us with menus and we decided to order from Big Apple Pizza. We placed an order over the phone ordering 6 boxes of pizza and 50 wings. My dad provided his credit card and they said it declined which was impossible so they tried again and said the same thing. My dad then provided his bank card and they said declined. So my dad, boyfriend and I decided to head there. On the way there Capital One notified my dad he was charged $148 and change. I then told my dad to check his bank card and he was charged twice with the same amount. Three charges with no food. They lied to use over the phone. They are scammers and we were pissed off. When we showed them the transactions they took us for idiots and started speaking their language but I was not having it. They were multiple men there and I was not sure who the owner was but they refunded 2 of the charges back onto card. We still wanted our food. They started speaking their language about what happened but i know they were aware of the bs that took place. They were trying to crack jokes but I was not having it. I waited inside for the food and they gave us 2 bottles of soda. We took our order and left. We got to the hotel and we ate the pizza but it was not tasty at all. Every person has their version of the ideal pizza. For me it's always NY Style with Thin Crust coming close behind. I remembered seeing the coming soon sign some time ago and realized it was finally open. As you walk towards the door they clearly have displayed some of their specials like 2 Slices of Cheese Pizza and a drink for $4.99. Sounds like a great deal. I came here for the first time on a Saturday night. I wasn't terribly hungry so I decided on a slice of Pepperoni which came to $2.51. I normally don't like the re-heated slices but since I just wanted one had to make do. To my surprise when it came out of the oven it was piping hot and definitely hit the spot. It's your traditional NY Style Pizza which is my favorite. It's just something about that perfect proportion of bread, cheese and sauce (don't forget the pepperoni) makes me do a happy food dance. Overly I was please with my slice and I look forward to coming back and ordering a fresh pie I'm sure they deserve that extra star. On a side note when I entered everyone greeted me and chatted briefly. Great customer service. Inside there are only a few booths so better for pickup if there's a large group. Definitely ordering again! I was skeptical since my experience earlier in the week wasn't great with trying a new pizza spot but the reviews convinced me to try and thank god cause it was so good! I have a family of 5 so we had a large order but the amount we paid for the food we ordered was great! He told me 30 mins delivery. 56 minutes later I called and said, " I ordered almost an hour ago and was told 30 mins," (I was nice about it too). He snaps back "I never said that." I proceed to say, "yes you said 30 minutes," (still being nice). He proceeds then to say, "ma'am it is Friday I would never say that, it takes 15 mins to make a pizza." I then got frustrated and hung up. He talked to me like I didn't know what I heard. I know it's Friday, thanks and 30 mins is plenty of time considering I live 1 mile from the place and I called before the dinner hour on a Friday. Now the lady that delivered was pleasant.
