Second year in a row we tried 204 Pizza while staying in our hotel for Jeepfest and both times the delivery and pizza were perfection!! Delivery has been super fast less than 30 mins from the time of our order and the pizzas arrived hot and cheesy! My son who's a picky eater said our cheese pizza was his favorite pizza EVER!! Then he happily ate leftover cheese pizza the next day. They even provided us with extra paper plates, plastic ware, napkins, and salt like we requested. We will be back next Jeepfest!! read more

We stopped into VA Beach for the night on our trip down the coast. Our original dinner plans fell through so we scoured the land for something that wouldn't leave us disappointed and hungry. Soo glad we picked this place! First let me say, the tables are amazing! How unique and gorgeous! The staff wasn't over friendly or rude. Just there to take the order and make the food. We ordered pizza, wings mozzarella sticks, garlic knots and tiramisu. Pizza was tasteless and too greasy, chicken & mozzarella sticks were overcooked, garlic knots were bland. Very friendly, very clean! I just got a single-slice of cheese pizza ($5.47 total) and it was hands down the BEST single slice of pizza I've gotten here in Virginia! Now, I did get it right when their "Hot Pizza" sign was on, meaning it was fresh. So I didn't get the typical "order a single slice and it gets reheated in the pizza oven" experience. Still, WOW. Came in Christmas Eve since we got turned away from Repeal next door since they closed early. We're the only people in the place, which is small but nicely decorated. Service was friendly, and the menu is pork-free which I wasn't expecting. Got a cheese and a supreme pizza and a few waters. Asked for the pizza well done, and it was about a billion degrees coming out of the oven! Crust was nice and crispy, didn't fold with all the toppings on it which was nice. The fam and I came here for a late night bite to eat! We usually opt for a chain like papa johns but decided to support local and try this place out! Sausage Pepperoni Pizza: When they say large they mean it! The large had such huge slices I was full after one. The pizza came out piping hot and gave us an amazing cheese pull. The crust is on the thinner side which allowed for the perfect foldable slice. The sauce to cheese to topping ratio was great. Just an all around great pizza! Service: The service was excellent, and our order was taken right after walking through the door. We wanted to sit outside and the employee swiftly wiped off a table for us and our pizza came out directly after. Ambiance: The decor included some super neat greenery paired with twinkling lights. Inside it felt a little bit muggy so we opted to sit outside. We had a nice breeze but there was a fan above us too which I'm sure will be nice once the heat kicks up in the summer. My husband and stepson love pizza. I mean, love it. I can take it or leave it after having a best friend in elementary school who wanted it every single day. I've probably had my fill for a lifetime.... Still, my husband wants it often enough and by the slice if he can get it, that he tastes pizza all over the US and all over the world. So he's pretty serious about pizza. He even has a system to rate it, the "flop" of the crust when you pick it up, does the cheese slide off, cheese to sauce ratio, how thick is the crust, is it crispy, etc. etc. 204 is his favorite in the entire VAB area. He's been raving about it since I met him but we hadn't been able to get here and try some pizza until this past weekend. My stepson is home from college so we got him from the airport and headed straight here. At around 2pm they didn't have any slices so we had to order an entire pie. They always only ever get cheese bc they say this is how you know if it is legit... then you can go from there. So, we waited about 10 minutes for a fresh small pie to be made for us with about 6 slices. We stepped outside to taste it and it was delicious. Excellent sauce to cheese ratio, no flop, crispy crust perfectly cooked. Not overdone and burnt, but also not dough-y. They also go around the crust when it's done with a brush of butter and basil to give it a delicious finished taste. It's the small things folks.... The employees are very nice - friendly and seem happy to be serving up these pizzas. The owner (I think) came out and talked to us for a while as we enjoyed the pie. We ended up finishing it before we even got to the car. Lol. It's small and nondescript inside... some covered patio seating out front and about 3 booths inside. It's no-nonsense and very bare bones but the pizza is great. They also serve some pastas, appetizers like mozzarella sticks, and side salads which my husband says are all actually very good. *A note - this spot serves thin crust pizza. If you are one of those who likes your Pizza Hut huge thick crust, you're probably not going to go for this. You have to be one of those who likes it thin and crispy. read more

The service sucked. They ignored me and talked on the phone the entire pickup. The fries weren't seasoned and were overcooked. I ordered a medium cheese pizza add pepperoni, they charged an extra $3.50 for it and didn't even put it on my pizza. The pizza was also extremely thin and crunchy. Pizza is the main offering with a variety of subs, Calzone/Stromboli and pasta dishes as well wings. We ordered a couple of pizzas-Margherita and build your own-Pepperoni, Sausage, onions & fresh Jalapeño. Crust was NY style as stated with a good balance between sauce cheese and fresh toppings. Really enjoyed the Margherita! Looks like they source ingredients locally which is a nice touch. Looks like slices are available-possibly at lunch. A couple of tables inside and not much space with most of the seating outside. A 10% off Yelp coupon popped up as I checked in-another nice touch! Frozen pizza would have been a better choice. The layout is nice. Great outdoor seating area; nice, tight indoor area. Everything you want from your local pizza shop. Not much space for anything but making pizza. Other yelpers' comments about the people being rude; meh. They were just doing business. Not everyone needs to smile and pretend to be your friend. It was promising. But man, the pizza was bad. We ordered the meat lovers. The crust was hard and flavorless. The sauce was watery and flavorless. The cheese was run-of-the-mill cheese. My first bite, and I immediately compared it to Matey's in my mind. Just not good pizza. We were starving and I only ate 2 slices. My toddler loves pizza so much that he has a pizza dance and he only ate 1 slice. When my kid went to the bathroom later on, lemme say it without detail, that was the worst smell that's ever come out of him. My skin broke out bad. I didn't connect all the dots until the first time I went to the restroom after that meal and had the same experience. It was horrible. I attribute that to ingredient quality. Man this is the best place to go on any occasion a bit pricey but worth your buck I personally bought a whole pizza and I think that's where it's worth it Vs the slice because it was hot fresh and delicious. I edited the review below and despite having a mixup with the order and some burnt knots the rest of the food was great. A member from the business reached out to apologize and explain the mixup. They even tried to reach me on my phone after picking up the food to explain the mixup to correct the situation. I really appreciate this outreach and the care for the customers. 100% I would give them another go next time I'm in VA Beach. Leaving my original food experience portion of the below review. Food experience: We ordered a bacon pizza and a meatball and spinach Stromboli. What we got in our order was a pepperoni pizza, wings, and garlic knots. The pizza itself was solid, a 4 star. However the wings were just Ok (I am picky about my wings so take this with a grain of salt) and the garlic knots were burnt and crunchy ( you can see in the photo the dark underside). read more

Salads were super, and the meatball sub according to my son was the best ever! The service was great, you can tell they take pride in their business. Atmosphere, they are friendly and very personable. The Food. - ok maybe I'm commenting out of not knowing what NY style pizza tastes like, but this is not what I expected. The dough was soft in on the middle and hard and crunchy on the edges. The first look is amazing. The first bite, it was good. Definitely above average taste. However it was extremely oily. Not sure if it was the pepperoni they used. But if it wasn't for that I'm all on board about it. However I'd like to try other places to compare if I'm in this position. read more
