Vera and her husband have been coming to our home once a month for the past several months. I've used several cleaning services before and have never seen the value. I usually end up going back to clean the areas that have been missed. Big Apple is tremendously thorough, due in part to the steam cleaner. It's done a great job on our kitchen tile. I also appreciate their use of green cleaning products. Their service price is pretty much on par with typical cleaning services even with the addition of the steam cleaning. They lack the superficial professionalism and friendliness of services like Eco Maids. But I'd rather have someone do a thorough job and be a little less friendly than be friendly and leave me feeling like I could have done a better job myself. read more

Big Apple Steam and Clean are wonderful. They have been cleaning my home once a month for almost a year and they have always been reliable and courteous. I really like their steam cleaning method because of its deep cleaning capability. They steam clean my carpets at every appointment and Vera goes above and beyond to remove any stains. My kitchen, living room, family room, bathrooms and bedrooms are always dust-free and clean after each appointment. It is such a pleasure to come home after they have finished their magic. The steam cleaning is amazing and so are Vera and her husband. Big Apple Steam N Clean is prompt, polite and thorough. My house was a disaster when they got there and it sparkled when they left. They never made me feel embarrassed about how dusty my house was and it felt like 2 friends were cleaning my house. And let's face it, we all look around our house after the cleaners leave, looking for that one spot that they missed. You won't find one with these folks. They're that good. I needed a house rental cleaned quickly as the departing tenants were not going to have the time to do it themselves. I found Big Apple Steam and Clean online. Their website was fabulous and told me everything I needed to know aboiut what they could do without making a phone call! I emailed them, they gave me a very reasonable price and squeezed me into their schedule as we only had a 1 week window before the new tenants moved in. All this and they hadn't even cleaned yet! They arrived as promised, and in less than 4 hours steamed and cleaned the entire house! What a job they did! My new tenants were very pleased! Vera and Vince were the utmost professionals. This company is made up of a man and a woman. Regardless of their unprofessionalism, they didn't do a good job actually cleaning. All of the spaces and rooms they committed to clean did not get cleaned thoroughly. The little corners and crevices were left dirty and when they left everything was sopping wet. I understand it's steam cleaning, but 30 minutes after they left, I opened a wooden drawer and water came dripping out. They seemed rushed and did not spend what I would consider adequate time doing what they were there and getting paid to do. They claim to use green cleaning products, but all that means is vinegar. Surprise! Choose another cleaning company. Also, like another negative reviewer, I would not invite them back in my home if I got their service as a gift. read more

They arrived to "clean" my house at 3:10pm to clean the purchased 6 rooms. Two people cleaned in 1.5 hours--and did an extremely poor job. The following is pasted from their website:WHAT IS COVERED on GROUPON DEAL GENERAL CLEANING Dust, polish or wipe all furnishings, window sills, shelves, and ledges. Vacuum carpets and furniture, steam cleaing and sanitizing all the floors and carpets. KITCHEN Clean sink, counter tops, outside of cupboards and drawer fronts, refrigerator fronts, stove fronts, other appliances and steam sanitizing. BATHROOMS Clean and disinfect tub, showers, toilets and floor. Clean and polish sinks, fixtures and mirrors and steam sanitizing. The living rooms had the carpets steam cleaned with a towel strapped across a regular steam cleaner. NO vacuuming was done prior to steam cleaning, no dusting, polishing or wiping down of any window sills. The only thing he touched in those rooms were the carpets. Kitchen--he sloppily used one cloth to wipe down dishwasher, stove and microwave fronts leaving a nasty film, no cabinets were wiped down and they still had oily films and food on them. He "steam cleaned" the kitchen floor and left behind dirt spots. Bathrooms were done a little better by the woman Vera but still a poor, quick job. She was in charge of three bathrooms, I used one home from work and I thought to myself she hasn't cleaned this one yet. I had to step outside to take phone calls and was called in 1.5 hours from when they started. She said they were done and bolted out the door. When I turned on the lights and inspected just the kitchen with dirt marks still on the floor and STANDING water from the steam cleaner on the wood floors I ran out to the drive way to catch them. They were gone. I decided they had their money already ( and that's why they left quickly) and I certainly was not going to call them back EVER. It amazes me they could ever expect return business from this demonstration of poor workmanship. AND I found it interesting the first reviewed actually says she goes over the areas they missed from other companies. I spent my whole day off cleaning what should have been cleaned by them. read more

Seems like all they did was a quick dust and vacuum. I had to mop the floors after they left. Had a groupon will not call them again.
