So I've eaten bagels from the best NYC bagel bakers. These fresh baked every 30 minutes, every hour? Warm out of the oven, these bagels are incredibly delicious. Or after a few hours. Big Belly Bagels is such an improvement over the last place! I've been twice since they opened and I can't complain! The bagels are crisp and chewy, the PEC has more than enough meat and was great. My wife enjoyed the veggie cream cheese and the kids always love the egg bagels. A great spot and we make it a point to get there every other week! Yuck!! Decided to try this location since it became Big Belly and was disappointed. Ordered a pork roll and cheese on a sesame bagel with hash browns. The bagel was decent nothing to write home about. The pork roll was cut extremely thick and not fried to a crisp, the hash browns were extremely raw and just crunchy, cold potatoes. I hoped they could keep up the greatness of Jersey Shore Bagel but unfortunately this was a big let down. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't try again. read more

I was new to the area and was searching for a bagel joint and this place fit the bill close to home less then a mile delicious bagels i would purposely get there on a saturday or Sunday morning at 6am right at opening depending on which weekend day i had off..but every damn time i would arrive the owner although pleasant runs around like its his first day and without fail there are atleast 3 flavors he says are not ready at..this is at opening..but i still come cause the bagels are good and i support small business. Well today i arrive and stand outside for 15 minutes and no sign on the door nobody here people also waiting and nobody insight..so i googled another place it was on 2546 hooper ave named tarraginis if i spelled that right.they were open well lit had everything fresh and hot..Jersey bagels lost this customer and you will never get me back not to mention the people who were waiting along with me..i have zero problems with your products i have a problem with horrible service a simple sign on your door punctuality and having the business stocked and ready at opening is not much to ask. read more
