Group lessons were really not a great fit at this point, because he was embarrassed to swim with kids much younger than him. I found Kristi online and gave her a call. She was so easy to talk to, totally got what I needed and told me to bring my older daughter at the same time to see if she needed help, too. After two sessions my son is swimming, neither kid is holding their nose or cares about having their face in the water and they are so much more comfortable. I couldn't be happier. The pool / facilities are super clean, parking is easy and she's so much fun - the kids love going there and think Kristi is the greatest person on earth! We enrolled in a NTC tournament. We were first told that my son was on alternate, later they…read moreexpanded the draw from 8 players to 16 players, and notified us that we were promoted to the main draw. The tennis tournament fee of $90 was charged and confirmed. Before the game, when I was checking the schedule, I found my son was not on the draw, he was put back to alternate without any notice. I had to contact NTC to understand why. Then I was told sorry for the confusion you are alternate. It looks like they changed back to 8 player draw without any notification. And I was refunded $75 out of $90 I paid, as the rest $15 was processing fee?!!! Please be cautious about joining any NTC tournaments, other parents who were selected said, the tournament was poor managed and waiting time is really long for already accepting more than the capacity.

Please change your front desk staff - your members are greeted (well, not really) by the absolute rudest people. I can't even. It's awful. We pay a LOT for our membership and it's like insane how rude they are. Everyone talks about it/ it's shocking nothing has been done about it. If it wasn't for the therapy pool and the fact that it's practically across the street from us, we'd cancel our membership. Based on front desk alone. Absolutely awful. Equipment is subpar - they need mirrors in the weight section upstairs as well. WiFi is terrible as well if you plan to listen to anything on your phone while there too. The front desk though... man.. they're the worst.

My experience at Goldfish Swim School in Plainfield was extremely disappointing and racially…read moreinsensitive. After my daughter's swim class 6/26 the manager, Michael, approached me on the pool deck in front of other families & children to accuse her of being "mean" to another child and allegedly using a curse word -- based solely on another child's word, without any investigation or proper handling. My daughter was and IS the only Black child in the class, and it felt clear that she was singled out and blamed without consideration for her side. I asked my daughter on the pool deck, and in the changing room what happened. She is 6 years old and a complete sweet heart who's mean to no one. She let me know that she did not say a bad word and that she only told the girl her and her board were to close to her and to move. Fine. After that we went into Michael's office to speak to him again before leaving because I wanted a better understanding of the situation. Michael tells me the same thing again that my daughter said a bad word and it seems like it was the "A" word and the girl "didn't want to repeat it" to really let us know what that word is, mind you on the pool deck he said she said a bad word but in his office it was she said the A word. he then goes on to say that the girl said my daughter said she was to close and said to move which my daughter said she did say. Later, Michael even admitted that the kids were too close to one another and were all frustrated -- yet mine was the only child held accountable. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and racially biased. There was no investigation done whatsoever just blame the only black kid in class because that makes sense to do. If your child is a minority, I strongly urge you to be cautious about sending them here. They deserve to feel safe and respected -- not unfairly targeted or humiliated in public.
