This is an older pool, so it's not as glitzy as some of the other pools in the area. They have 1 water slide, a diving board, a sand pit and a great toddler area. The toddler area here is fenced in and has it's own pool which is 0 dept to 2 feet or so. There are lots of chairs here for moms to sit poolside. Off of the toddler pool is the sand area. I've spent lots of time here and there are always extra chairs and some benches. There are toys available here, I wouldn't bring your own because you will get a headache trying to keep an eye on them. Pricewise, this pool has a cheaper admission rate for non residents. It's $11.75 for an adult and $7.00 for a child. Sometimes the pool closes early due to swim meets and this pool opens later that Rice Pool due to swim lessons. Another important thing to know is that the kids in the daycamps at Northside Park, swim at this pool from 1-3 or so. This summer (2010) the camps are relocated due to work at the park, but they will be back next year. This pool is a great one to hang out with your little ones. If you have older kids, the slides at Rice Pool are a better source of entertainment.

We enrolled in a NTC tournament. The tennis tournament fee of $90 was charged and confirmed. Before the game, when I was checking the schedule, I found my son was not on the draw, he was put back to alternate without any notice. I had to contact NTC to understand why. Then I was told sorry for the confusion you are alternate. It looks like they changed back to 8 player draw without any notification. And I was refunded $75 out of $90 I paid, as the rest $15 was processing fee?!!! Please be cautious about joining any NTC tournaments, other parents who were selected said, the tournament was poor managed and waiting time is really long for already accepting more than the capacity.

But it gets worse when I was at the snack shack yesterday I spent 4 dollars on a damn snow cone and we got pizza. We got our pizza right away but then they started scrolling on YouTube and then after 10 minutes we told them we were waiting for a snow cone and then it took them 5 minutes make a snow cone. Especially one lady with short hair who is always chatting with younger staff and barely looks up to check people in. other's area lifetimes greet you warmly when you enter but most of the desk staff is preoccupied here. Gym desperately needs cleaning- cleaning is done by internal staff. Mats are dirty and never see anyone wiping down weights or mats / although they have spray and towels for guests to use. Restrooms are dirty and need a deep clean and improvements -( behind the stall doors- need to be cleaned)! This location is 20+ years old and lots of newer clubs going in and send this one is being neglected. Speakers in the main group fitness room only work on one side and cut out in the middle of routines. Classes were great but they keep changing formats and if there are less than 12-15 in a class they cut the class. For the price being paid they should hold class even if 5 people sign up. So many trainers around for a fee but classes seem to be getting limited compared to the newer gyms. Still going due to location but it needs some love!

The manager, Brad, has many years experience on the premise and knows how to make it a comfortable experience for most everyone who visits. The board has done a great job of spending limited funds where they are most effective. The end result is just a nice place to spend a couple hours, or more, a couple of days, or more, a week. One of the new additions this year is D'Cappos providing food from the "snack" deck. The everyday provisions are fine and the add ons during the weekend are fantastic!! Jerry brings high end restaurant food to the little shack on the snack deck. Tonight I took Cavatelli with a light white garlic and fresh squash sauce and a delicious Bruchetta home. Can't do that at any other pool I've ever been to. Where did that come from?? The board made another good decision from my point of view.
