Doug did a great job re-screening our three sliders, putting new wheels on two of them, lubing and ensuring the locks on the sliders functioned properly. They slide like "butta" now. Best ever. One of our front window house screens finally bit the dust, on a Saturday morning. I called a company that had done some work for us in the past, installing an awning, hoping they did similar work on screens. The owner said he did not, but did recommend two possibilities. I tried both and got their voice mails as expected. "Big Boy" called me back, and said they could come by the same day. Doug came by and we walked the house, now 20+ years old, and looked at the all the screens. He did not try to oversell me, rather he recommended a more moderate approach. Long story short he did a professional job, at a reasonable cost in a short period of time. While walking the job he noticed a sticking problem with our patio screen door, which had bothered me for years. I had two other companies work on it, with no real improvement. Doug pointed out the real problem, and he fixed that also, once again at a reasonable price. After seeing Doug's work and dealing with him, I will be calling him back to finish replacing all of the screens in my hours. read more

I can't say enough good about Big Boy Mobile Screens. My first contact was with Laura who was completely professional and very personable. Since Doug was to be near our neighborhood he was to stop by our home to evaluate our job if his timing worked out with his other job. He came and gave us all of our options and prices and we agreed to go with his company. We did have a bit of a time squeeze issue and although extremely busy with folks returning to the valley and repairing/replacing screens, he made our screen door for us on site that day. I know this has to be the exception to the rule, but we felt very blessed that he completed it then (for us). He was completely professional, efficient and tidy. He wore a mask the entire time and totally respected us and our home. In a time when it seems there are so many promises (to show up and complete work) but very few people following through with integrity, we found a jewel. Big Boy Mobile Screen provided rapid response on a Saturday (within 1/2 hour of first call) and resolved a simple issue of a screen catch and latch and that a local franchise Mobile Screen company could not resolve; even after 2 visits and a sales pitch for a new screen door. Big Boy Mobile Screens quick response will allowed us to resolve a buyers issue and close our escrow on time. And I must say, for a much more reasonable trip rate. Once again, I went to YELP to find someone to repair my old screens and to replace one screen slider which was irreparably bent. I also had gotten recommendations from several window and door companies and several of them said that the best company for screen work in the Coachella Valley was Big Boy Mobile Screen. I called and Laura was just lovely on the phone. She spoke clearly and concisely and gave me prices for the work I described with the understanding that there could be some variance depending upon the condition of the screens and frames. On the day of the job, Doug called to say that he had another job nearby that finished earlier than estimated and would I like to have him come three or four hours earlier than planned. That worked well for me. He looked over the work: one screen slider to be replaced frame and all; one much larger slider needing screen replacement and two very large window screens with tears. His estimate was right on. He got to work measuring, removing screens and taking the them out to his van to repair. He did a great job installing the new slider, cleaning out the track and lubricating to ensure smooth movement. All of his work was clean and efficient. He obviously takes pride in doing his work well.He checked movement on my other sliding doors too. I was extremely pleased with the quality and the cost of Doug's work.
