Excellent food, deceptive billing practices. I love the food here and have never had a bad meal, but their pricing model has become incredibly frustrating. Pickin' Porch forces a mandatory 10% "staff tip" on all orders. Because you stand in line and pay at a counter before you are even tended to, they are essentially demanding a tip before providing any service. Sometimes you stand in line for longer than it takes to receive the food you're paying a 10% premium on. If a business needs to cover higher staff costs, they should just raise menu prices. Forcing a surprise surcharge at the register is a cheap tactic. Furthermore, didn't ask, but suspect one is likely required to pay this fee even if you're just getting food to-go. For a restaurant located inside a craft mall, playing these corporate "gotcha" fee games feels completely out of place in this wonderful spiritual community Branson has always been. Branson is a city built on genuine kindness... However, Pickin Porch Grill's compulsory 10% tipping fee billing practice is the exact opposite of the nature of Branson. Come for the food, but be prepared for a frustrating mandatory fee at the register. read more

Delicious food, and crowded - so you know it's popular.. Come in prepared to walk thru the Market area, and if you are headed for food and music, head to the back.. A little too loud, as obvious by the decibel monitor on the close end of one of the aisles. If they would invest in a little sound insulation randomly, it could help. I highly recommend making a courtesy routine for people with standing or walking handicap. It would be helpful to have the Order Taking for To-Go or Take Out handled by someone in the front of the building or an office. Delicious food, good shopping. I expect to come back. I recently discovered a fantastic store/restaurant that offers a wide range of dishes, including tacos, meat plates, and awesome burgers. I decided to try their single burger, and it was delicious . Big Real beef delicious burgers at a decent price. Seasoned fries, good sauces, and a huge shopping gift store area. Live band stage. No music while we visited which I prefer but like the option. Ample seating. Photo opportunity out front with massive chair. Did get acid reflux within 2 hours of meal. My chicken strips were a bit dry, which kept this from being a 5-star visit, but the Green Fried BLT was phenomenal and completely stole the show. What's not to love about this place? It has a fully stocked store with almost any home good items you can think of plus a full restaurant in the back! Wow. I was truly impressed as we came here on a random Wednesday night, but there were 14 of us in our party. They take your order before sitting down. I was most impressed with how quick and friendly the service was. I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich and loved it. There was no sandwich left. I could've ate the green tomatoes alone. This was such a great little surprise! My hubby and I shared the Catfish Plate and for us it was plenty and plenty delicious! I actually considered ordering more but didn't. If you're hungry, go inside and walk all the way to the back of the craft mall until you reach the dining area and the order desk on the left. The servers are all very helpful and the ambiance is fun if you like to wander through crafters aisles. I found a really great hair clip for my daughter AND had a very satisfying dinner! We were searching for a place to have a quick lunch near our Airbnb and stumbled upon Pickin Porch Grill. We were a little confused when we pulled into "Branson Craft Mall"--and even more confused when we walked into the craft mall and didn't see any food. But all the way at the back of the building is Pickin Porch Grill. We tried a few different things--a pulled pork plate, a burger, and the grilled chicken salad. Everything was really good, and honestly exceeded our expectations. The restaurant has counter service, but they were so friendly and helpful despite not having table service. One employee even saw a couple of us were running low on drinks and offered to get us refills. It looks like they may have live music there, but we went during the day before high tourist season, so it was pretty quiet. read more

We stopped here for lunch and was surprised to find that it was a store as well. The menu is on the wall and very well displayed. The food is really delicious! My husband and I split the Chicken Salad Sandwich and fries meal. The chicken salad has pineapple in it....wow! The sandwich and fries were so good and delicious! Our son had the Chicken Tender meal. It came with fries, baked beans, cole slaw, and a roll. Everything was served hot and fresh and with a smile ! Wow, customer service was great!!! We've been to Pickin Porch Grill twice now. The first time was a total bust, as most of their items are fried and I wasn't looking for a fried meal. I also may have been in a bad mood on that visit, so we just won't talk about that trip. On my second visit, we shared the Asada Fries and I had the Fried Chicken Sandwich. TBH, the Asada Fries were SO AMAZING that I barely remember my sandwich lol. It was good though. I love how they trim all the fat off of the Asada, so you don't get the gross chewy bits that most places give you. And that sauce... yum! Next time, I'm going to try the tacos. My husband loved it too and plans to get the tacos next time as well. My only complaint is that, after you walk to the counter and order your food yourself, get your drinks filled yourself, and find a table yourself, the wait staff comes around to "check on you" and tries to fill your drinks in what really feels like an attempt to be tipped. It's super awkward. I'm not tipping for a drink refill when we did the rest ourselves. Personally, I'd rather just get my own refill and not be bothered. I'd also be happy to throw my own trash away, but I don't believe they allow you to do that. Anyway, great food here. We'll be back. read more

The burger was cooked perfectly. The fries are crispy and so good! The crispy chicken salad was better than the grilled. Restaurant is in the back of the craft mall. You enter the line, order, get your drinks, then find a seat. There is a sign at the register that states 10% gratuity will be added to all good orders. Our group of 4 picked this place because of the reviews. First of all you have to do a little shopping before you even get back to the restaurant! Which the 2 girls in the group had no problem with! You go through the line and order and pay. Our group had the pulled pork platter, the Blues burger, and 2 of us had the smoked chicken platter. All came with fries, and all but the burger had slaw and baked beans. We ordered the Onion Rings as a starter. Let me tell you those were the Best onion rings ever! So crunchy. The platters came with the pulled pork and smoked chicken in a bowl. It was so much food. Honestly she and I could have split one of the smoked chicken platters. It was the best meal all weekend. And we had some good eats while in Branson. We went to the resort and watched the Razorbacks play B Ball. And we were still full! Try Pickin Porch Grill, you won't be disappointed! We decided to give this place a try after reading such great reviews. I have to say it was a really good hidden gem. It's inside a craft mall but don't let that fool you. We ordered their special of the day which was burnt end nachos. They were delicious and had a great flavor my o my complaint was they put hunks of meat on there instead of chopping it up. So it's hard to eat. We also shared the asada fries and the meat was tender and flavorful. Personally I didn't care for the lettuce on the fries. The Avacado sauce was so good. You order your food at the counter and get your drinks yourself however they do have servers that bring your food out to you and will get you refills and boxes etc. They have a stage set up so I'm not sure when but they do have live music. read more

Gourmet burgers in the middle of a craft mall? Why the heck not?!?!? This spot is embedded at the back of a Branson-area craft mall, but don't let that dissuade you from giving them a try. They are a bit on the pricier side, but the burgers are juicy, delicious and super-filling. For my meal, I chose the bluegrass burger with a side of fries. Orders are placed a the counter and then brought out to your seating location. The bluegrass burger was piled high with bacon, cheddar cheese, a house burger sauce, BBQ sauce and a mountain of onion straws. Fries were fresh cut, double fried and seasoned nicely with some sort of blend. My buddy and I left full and satisfied.
