Meal portions are great. The chicken is pretty good, fries were crispy. Restaurants are clean. No complaints.

This place used to be a favorite place to treat ourselves after a busy week. I even once tried to contact them to say how much we loved it, but they never responded. Sad. This weekend we visited after not being here for a bit and were shocked by the changes, which were not for the better. While the food was still tasty. It has shifted for the worse to the point that we might not come back, to be honest. I tried their new snack sandwich, which was a chicken strip with their sauce and a pickle on Texas toast. I really enjoyed it. I also had their grilled tenders, which was a nice touch, they were delicious and a great option for those who do not want fried. The fries were still nice and salty and crunchy. The cheese curds had a nice crunch, but basically no cheese, they were hallow. Their mac and cheesed used to be favorite on par with Popeyes, but this time was dry, not cheesy, and the cracker topping had no flavor. Their meals no longer come with drinks which is no value whatsoever. They took so many items off their menu, like the wings and changed the sandwiches. They took my favorite grilled cheese chicken sandwich off the menu and got rid of the sundaes. You used to be able to order additional chicken strips as singles if you wanted one more, but that was no longer there either. I could not order a single online and they cashier was also not able to do so. It looks like they wanted to take on Cane's but are failing. Honestly, I will just go to Cane's for the strips and sauce, Culver's for the same type of fries and better cheese curds, and Popeyes for the mac and cheese and tenders as well. While everyone there was nice and the food was not bad, I am not spending hard earned money on a place with little value and less options than before. read more

This place is fun to visit for the novelty. I liked the tenders and fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was just fine, the chicken was just a slice and not a full breast. Definitely not worth the money for the grilled sandwich. The mac and cheese was ok, not my favorite but good enough. They have cream soda and some alternate soda options and we liked those. The peanut butter shake was standard and good. They had a holiday cookie shake with multiple mix ins though we did not try that one. I witnessed 4 shakes sit on the pick up counter for 15 minutes because the staff member never called out the number of the order they belonged to. Other than that service was normal. The best part about this place is when Shaq's cheesy smile was on the screen. It's definitely the most interesting fast food restaurant in the area. read more

BEWARE! Prices on the menu are deceiving. It's pretty well assumed in food joints that when the menu choice says "entree" and "meal" we've been conditioned to assume the meal includes a side (usually fries) and a drink. This place scammed us out of $9.00 on drinks. At 2.89 a beverage, this is absurd to be charging extra for a drink. So the meal price we paid only included fries and we were charged an additional 2.50 for each beverage. For what we paid for a family of 4 (with our kids splitting a kids meal!) we should have went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had better chicken and actual service for the same (or less) cost. When I was reviewing the menu at the end, some man, who I can only assume is a shift leader or manager, told me "our employees really need to do better explaining that" to which o replied, "no, your menu should really state it in big letters where the meal price is listed". To which he did what every restaurant manager does when a guest is upset .... Offered me free dessert .... No thank you. I want my $9.00 back! And let's be honest. The cost of fountain drinks has gotten out of control. The cost on a fountain drink is likely less than a couple of quarters for the co2 and the syrup. Big Chicken.... Include the drinks in your meal price (by raising the meal price) or print it in big bold letters on the menu that the meal only includes fries and drinks are extra!! What a scam. We won't be going back. Which is sad because hartland doesn't have very many places to eat when you only have 45 minutes. On a final note... the food was actually decent. The chicken was flavorful and I liked the signatures sauce. But not good enough to pay nearly $14.00 for fast food. read more

I had to try Shaq's restaurant. I was surprised as I was expecting a more hot chicken place and for more of a standard, but elevated, chicken restaurant. Staff was really nice and the place is spotless. Nashville hot chicken in sandwich form or tenders was really good. The fries are pretty dope, I was hoping more from the mac & cheese. It saddens me to even write this because my husband and I weee coming here once a week. We loved the original Big Chicken sauce. We even said it was better than Chick fil A sauce! I'm so sad to report that Shaq changed the original sauce and it's terrible. Like so terrible that I thought they gave me the incorrect sauce. When I checked with the staff she told me the sad news that the sauce had been changed. Their chicken is good and the sauce was perfect. I hope Shaq changes his mind and goes back to the original. I had to use a packet of Dave's hot chicken original sauce to save my Big Chicken sandwich while scrapping Big Chickens sauce off! My husband agrees the sauce is now terrible. read more

Foods good I order a meal every time I've been here and now when I get a meal I have to buy a drink? How is that a meal then? Also it doesn't say that anywhere on the sign where it shows a meal with a drink chicken and fries. Stopped here for lunch one day had an amazing spicy chicken sandwich. The price was reasonable, and the customer service was excellent.

Staff was great but the chicken sandwich was so tough probably one of the worst I've had.

I ordered the Uncle Jerome sandwich, which I thought was reasonably priced when compared to it's nearby competitors (KFC, Wendy's, McDonald's, Culver's) and tasted far superior. read more
