We have had great service at multiple locations of Leo's Coney Island. Today at the Howell, MI. location was no exception! Our server arrived so quickly we gave her our drink orders and asked her to give us 5" to determine our food order. All Leo's menus are essentially the same and feature lots of Coney, dog and hot dog and loose meat combinations with plenty of fries, a multitude of specialty salads, a lot of Greek food, including heros, chicken skewers, greek salads and that our made especially tasty here (and they're one of my favorites)in sizes ranging from mini to large. any kind of dressing, but I always get their homemade Greek-which they even sell bottled at the counter.---They also always have a great variety of breakfast items on the menu from eggs to omelette to French toast, & pancakes & waffles, etc. My nephew who lives close by comes here frequently and he says it's much cleaner than some of the other Leo's in Livingston County. We each enjoyed our meal! My nephew got breakfast with three sunny side up eggs, 4 sausage, links, and hashbrowns and toast. he had a tall glass of ice cold milk to drink. He wanted to order the Oreo pie, but they were out of it because someone forgot to get them out of the freezer to thaw this morning. they don't offer the brownie and ice cream anymore, they did have what looked like a very good multilayer, chocolate cake, along with confetti cake, and a carrot cake and a cheesecake but that was all that was available in the dessert case this afternoon. I should remark that the café was at least 80% full when we arrived for a late lunch(mid afternoon) so there was a lot of happy customers visiting and eating, and a great majority of the booths and tables were in use. My pancakes were the same color brown as the syrup bottle and mostly flat. Pancakes should not be brown or flat. My waitress asked me how was my food so I told her. She offered to take them back but I said no thank you...once was enough for me. I ate about half of them and was ready to go. I asked for my bill and if they have a senior discount. She said yes, but I have to ask for it at checkout. If I didn't ask, it wouldn't automatically be given or offered... poor customer service along with lousy food. My waitress was very nice, however, I had to stop her and ask her to take away the dirty dishes. I won't be back. I don't recommend this restaurant read more

Me and my coworkers ordered some food there. I got the patty melt with cheese fries. When I say the fries had no flavor literally just potatoes and cheese. The patty melt was decent but I'm used to real coney islands this place is not for me. read more

I think this a 5 star restaurant in the Leo's Coney Island chain. Typical coney restaurant fare, but done well. The place was exceptionally clean. Best of all the wait staff were friendly and efficient. Not only was I asked several times for refills on my drink, but was also asked if I wanted a refill to go. Nice! This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had-- it might have been due to being understaffed-- the food was fine besides the fries I had, which were undercooked and soggy. The restaurant itself was fine, the workers are nice but they forgot our sausage links, didn't ask us if we needed a box, and didn't check up on us even once. Is there anyone that ever gets a correct carry out order. It has went so far down. service, cleanliness and food quality are all below average. Such a bummer. Use to be solid! Today when my husband called back to say they didn't give us a chicken the person actually told hime that she's sorry she's hard of hearing. All were bad, especially the service. People just standing around, timing was off, wrong drinks and food were brought. They need to learn body language being a server, it usually tip off if somebody is uncomfortable, somebody is ready to order, or when they want their check. Went to have dinner with my mom, sat for half an hour and not one person came to get our order. Will definitely not be back.

I have eaten at four Leo's within an hour of where I live, and today I experienced the worst service I have ever received. I was given the wrong drink to start with, while my mother was given some particularly bad coffee. It took a ridiculously long time for our waitress to take our order, which ended up being two omelettes, which come with hashbrowns and a choice in toast. Ten minuets after ordering, we were asked what kind of toast we wanted, and then another ten minutes later, we were then asked if we wanted our hashbrowns. When we were asked about our toast choices, she went to walk away after just listening to my mothers choice, and was not pleasent when I said I wanted a different kind of toast. My mom ended up being given burnt toast, and I recieved... Well, it didn't really look like it normal does. All in all, the food was cramp and the service was poor, and I would really recommend skipping this Leo's and going to the one near the Tanger outlet mall on the other side of Howell, as it has vastly superior food, and service. read more

Not only are their breakfasts great, their employees are even greater. They are always smiling, friendly, fast and efficient. I mainly go there for breakfast, my coffee is constantly being filled and when we are done they offer a coffee to go. I highly recommend. He'd make more money if he had better service though. Go to the Brighton one, they do you right. Ordered a carry-out on 6-16-19 about 6:45 pm. Picked it up in 10 minutes and the food was barely warm, even though we live 2 miles away, Order was all wrong, included luke-warm fries that I did not order. Included sauce and onions on the gyro, when I specifically said 'no onion's, no sauce' . Pretty lame restaurant. Check your order when you pick it up and also check if it is hot. Worst experience we ever had. My entire staff went there for dinner (party of 10) as we have every Saturday night for about the last 6 months. We got there at 9:30 pm and were told "you need to eat fast and not sit here talking or get carry and take it home if you need to talk". To make it even worse, it was told to us in front of other patrons. We will NEVER go back, they lost good customers and I will tell everyone I know. Too many restaurants in Howell that are willing to serve us. This is the worst customer service I have ever had at a restaurant. read more

Some of the worst service and food that I've ever had from a Leo's. I'm shocked seeing such high reviews. I ordered carry out on a Sunday night. When I came in to get my food, I waited at the front for 10 minutes until someone came to tell me I needed to go to the back, where workers ignored me for another five minutes until I was spoken to about my order. When I got home, I had realized I was missing an entire meal. I called back, and the girl on the phone was rude, and didn't offer an apology for me missing my meal and asked if I still wanted it. When I came in to get my order (a cheeseburger with a side Greek), it again took forever for me to be helped and again no apology or compensation. When I got my meal home, it was the wrong food. A plain, thin, dry hamburger on a plain bun. We also ordered a grilled cheese that came extremely underdone, and was just gross. I will not be coming back here. A shame, because I live right across the street. I'd rather drive to Brighton or the other side of Brighton for decent food. read more

My husband decided he wanted coneys for Fathers Day so we went to Leo's. It is 96 degrees outside and there was no air conditioning on in the restaurant. We decided to stay because we had already sat down, even with the temperature in the restaurant being extremely warm, but will not return during hot days. read more

I used to visit a lot. Then wife got the rusty metal foot to their salad shredder in her salad. Wasn't looking or asking for it, but meal was comped. OK. Decided to let by-gone be by-gones. Less than 30 days later went in to eat again. Enjoyed my meal. And then dessert. Cheesecake. As I was taking my third or so bite, brought up my fork. Uh!? Cheesecake is not supposed to be fuzzy!!!! They found out that we were the salad shredder foot people and we got the cold shoulder. Barely took the cheesecake off the bill. I only gave them a one star rating because negative stars not available. Lived in Howell 38 years-long before Leo's-be here long after Leo's. Visit businesses all around them, but haven't been back.
