I love walking at Millennium Park. I have been exercising here for many years. There are miles and…read moremiles of paths to explore. I enjoy mixing up my different routes to go different distances. There are several small lakes, one of which has a beach and other activities such as paddle boats. There are two different entrances to the park, which helps spread visitors out on really busy days like weekends. On the Secchia Meadows side, there is a nice pavillon where my friends had their wedding. I highly recommend Millennium Park for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors, spotting creatures such as deer, turtles, muskrats, eagles, and more.

So when I stepped…read moreup to the check-in counter at Millennium Park Boat Rentals, the thoughts in my head were: Wow! It only costs $8 per hour to rent a kayak? Sweet! Wow! These people checking me in and telling me safety information are incredibly young! Will they be able to save me and my family if our kayaks flip over and we fall into the lake? Wow! What a beautiful day! But I wonder how often people fall into the lake. I also wonder how deep the lake is. I also wonder if it's possible to be trapped underwater if your kayak flips over. In the end, I decided to kick it on the sandy beach and wave at my family as they happily paddled on the lake. They had a great time kayaking. I had a great time not kayaking. Like Hot Chocolate says: Everyone's a winner, baby. Kayaks are either single-person or double, and we used one of each. There are very few instructions given, which was a little alarming to me. (You mean you just assume we know what we're doing?!) But fortunately, my family knew what they were doing, so they didn't need much instruction to get themselves out on the water. As you paddle around the lake, you pass the Millennium Park beach and splash pad, plus little islands here and there. There is about four miles of shoreline to explore. I was told that the lake was nice and calm, and that it was a pleasant time on the water. We rented kayaks, but Millennium Park Boat Rentals also offers canoes, paddle boats and stand-up paddle boards to rent. Keep in mind that rentals are seasonal -- this place is only open from Memorial Day-ish to Labor Day-ish.

Met up with some friends and their kids at this park recently. It's huge, with a lot of playground…read morefun, basketball courts, soccer fields, softball field, a little skate park, gaga ball pit, covered picnic pavilions, and a really nice splash pad. Parking seemed a little limited for the size of the park, but we got a spot at the main entrance off Wolfboro. This park is basically in the middle of a subdivision, so you can probably find street parking if needed. There were some little kids sports practices happening while we were there. We used the pavilion to have our picnic dinner, then the kids all had a blast playing on the playground (ages 2.5-8). I was most impressed by the splash pad, with its water towers and buckets and the axolotl fountain! The kids kept referring to it as a "water park," which cracked me up. It's definitely a lot bigger than the splash pad at the park by my house. A nice spot to hang out with kids!

We came during the month of May for the indoor Waterpark. We go to a lot of watermarks and this one…read moreis on the lower end of favorites. This place is very tired, dingy, and we were disappointed with how small the place was. Lastly I didn't like how the waiver included having to waive them using your "likeness" while on the property for their own use. The kids enjoyed the slides and the water temp was decent. I will also say that the floaties were old and they had to wait for the double tubes because there werent many available. We constantly had to search for one when returning to the slides. Thankfully there werent many families the day we went so wait time wasnt terrible. We decided to eat elsewhere because the food reviews didn't seem promising. Of all the indoor water parks we have visited I liked this the least. It is highly likely that we will not return. 3 because it was average at best and served said purpose.

Pack a little sunscreen, a towel and maybe some sort of bucket or container and you're set for the splash pad. And this particular splash pad is splashtastic. With three separate pads in one large park, the Zeeland splash pad park is great for kiddos of all ages. The fountains/sprinklers vary in size and scope, so toddlers can enjoy the splashy festivities as well. They also have benches and concrete steps for sitting, water (drinking) fountains, and two restrooms (with changing tables) that were fairly clean. When it's insanely hot out and you don't want to pack your car and your patience for the beach, hit up this splash pad!

It just has everything. ⁣ ⁣ Tons of shade on the play equipment, swings, a basketball court, splash pad, and a big open area to walk around, play and even just to sit on the benches and enjoy the sounds and sights of our beautiful earth. ⁣ ⁣ It's a great spot for kids (or adults, we won't judge ) to run and even kick a ball around! It would make a fantastic spot to picnic too! ⁣ ⁣ This would make for a fun couple hours out of the house next time you're in the Belknap Lookout neighborhood!

If they could have a couple cables and a separate line for the true beginners it would make the price much more worth it, and us along with others I know would be more likely to visit many more times. Only one staff member was truly teaching my children how to actually ride, the other girl there was clearly not into the job and just kind of there. The kid that was helping was very impressive and I was thankful that two hours into being there, on their 3rd try that they finally got some sort of direction for their last two tries. Almost 3 hours of being there and kids only got 4 turns, that equated to them literally falling in the water until the other staff member took over. One of the kids in our group got injured and not one staff member asked if she was ok, truly a learning experience for staff to be a little more vigilant and at least pretend to care. Other than these things my kids had a blast and it is such a bummer to know they would not get enough turns to make the hour drive to this facility worth it to come back.

We could not get through. We decided we would just go and not book a room. We only had a few kids. When we got there we were told the restaurant was closed. You can't bring outside food in. They did make a compromise But told us we couldn't have cake but pizza was ok. Makes no sense. Some of us paid for all day passes / Some of us paid for three hour passes. They kicked us all out after 3 hours. We showed them the receipts showing all day passes. The staff said we could stay. but at this point we were done. The whole time staff was rude and condescending.

Extremely Disappointing…read more Very disappointing experience. At Soaring Eagle Resort Water Park Lodge. At approximately 1:30 AM, I had to wake up my 5-year-old, pack up our entire room, and move to another room because the thermostat was not working properly and the room became unbearably hot. Having to do this in the middle of the night with a young child was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable. I spoke with the manager, Chloe, who was rude and dismissive. After explaining the situation, I was told that 20% was all they were willing to offer and that there was no corporate office to contact because they are not a franchise. Considering what we went through, 20% is nowhere near an appropriate resolution. Things can go wrong at hotels, but how management handles those situations matters. Unfortunately, I felt completely let down by both the experience and the response from management. I would not recommend staying here.

It was our first time visiting the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center. I was with some family from…read moreout of town so we needed a place to take the kids to burn off some steam. Sounds like a great spot right? Right! Unassuming from the outside, it was all business and professional courtesy once you entered through the gates. Here's the thing with aquatic centers. Lifeguards are paramount! We can all imagine a scenario when security and lifeguards are lacking, so to see it in action was incredibly impressive. On the day we went - near the end of our stay, we witnessed an episode where all the whistles blew, lifeguards stood up at their stations and pointed to the spot where someone was struggling in the water. In a matter of seconds, lifeguards converged and basically took care of business. Now these are late teens to early twenty-something kids. And to see this type of urgency, and trained behavior for the safety and security of their patrons was, well - encouraging to say the least. Once we got home it was decided that, based on our first experience, this won't be our last trip to the East Lansing Family Aquatic Center. Well done staff! You came through with stars!
