This has been my favorite Snoball place for years. I usually buy larger orders than I tried to buy today and I had some door dashed just yesterday. WHAT HAPPENED: ordered 3 total. Asked for two flavored and one plain, the smallest size I could BUY for a dog. BUY I said. Never asked for a free one. The dog was home alone. I didn't want to leave her alone a long time. My husband was already impatient because there had been a wait just to get the items made. I paid, tipped three dollars as I would for three snowballs, and was THEN told that there would be a wait, as only the owner could shave the ice and he was working on the air-conditioning. So the wait. With the old dog at home, etc. and us VERY anxious to get back. Guess what? I walked back to the window, leaving my purse in the car since I already paid. NO CONE FOR THE DOG. "We didn't charge you for the plain one, because we were out of dog bowls", adding that those were for dogs that were present. Meaning, I suppose, that old crippled dogs at home are OUT OF LUCK unless they hear you say the word BUY, which I did. SO, they offered to let me return to the car, retrieve my card, and they would make it ...adding more time to the time we had already been away. They seemed to think my ONLY problem was paying for it, but no, it was the additional wait, the additional irritation for my husband, the additional anxiety about being away. I was also, frankly INSULTED. I have bought plain ones before. BOUGHT. For the dog. THIS dog. So why did they treat me this way today. Sure, I could have stayed there in the hot sun, wearing down hubby's patience and making poor Piglet wait longer, and maybe she would have been ok, but one accidental pee on the floor and the angel is sad for days, so I was NOT going to risk her dignity for it. I don't know how to feel about my FAVORITE Atlanta area Snoball place anymore. I'm just so sad right now. People were always great, even through longer waits, they got much larger orders correct and I NEVER had a problem. The one time a door dash order was wrong, they fixed it right away. Today was bad, tho. The way they looked at me, like I was stupid or trying to get something for nothing when I have always been a VERY loyal customer. I am too sad to eat my Snoball. It is in the freezer. I have chronic pain, like the dog does, and we had been looking forward to this. read more

Cute place to get shaved ice! For the past 2 years, I kinda just drove by this place and every time I would drive passed it, I would be like "oooOo shaved ice - yum" but I don't know why I never stopped. That changed a couple of weeks ago. I decided to try it and it was really good. Sooo many flavors to choose from. The first flavor I tried was Dreamsicle. Not that great but not bad. The next flavor I tried was their special, key lime pie. It came with condensed milk, whipped cream and graham cracker topping - tasted like a real pie. The portions are freaking huge. The small can easily be shared with two people. I never finish mine and end up throwing half away b/c it's just so much sugar/syrup. I wish they had a kid size. You order at a window and there are seats outside. I didn't see any bathrooms but there's a gas station right in front so I'm assuming people go there if they need to go. Great summer treat. Go get some shaved ice. read more

Tried this on doordash today as a little afternoon treat and I loved it! I ordered the cotton candy dream with ice cream and whipped cream; I can say they are really generous with the syrups - the whole cup was just as saturated with the syrup as the top which I loved. Next time I will opt out for the ice cream as I found the syrups made it just sweet enough for me. I love this place! This was my first visit. The medium (pictured) is a decent size for $4. The ice in thinly shaved so there isn't much crunch; very sensitive teeth friendly. I watched the cashier wipe down the card machine after each customer as well! I plan on returning soon. read more

We usually come here to cool off with a snow ball. We have never had problems until today, but it has always bothered me a bit that they don't wear gloves. I'm unsure if they wear hairnets, too. Today, we found pieces of hair in our food and am quite grossed out. We will take this into consideration if we ever decide to eat here again. One star is only representative of the lowest standard available to get peoples attention. No "star" value can come close to being applied. The owner, which he loves to profess himself as, is a total asshole. We have been going to this establishment for the whole summer season and always ordered the same items. When we questioned how he differentiates an item he got VERY worked up and condescending to my wife and daughter (wife can hold her own, but towards daughter, bad decision). I made it clear to him that there was a disconnect and to move on. As a previous poster wrote, he tries to show that he is the boss, even to customers. Very unprofessional. After he made our order, and knowing that the disconnect of what we have been ordering all season to what was delivered, was not correct, as expected. This was even after we explained what we desired. When we told him the order differed, que the supreme asshole. There was no way he was wrong, we are wrong, he stated everything, we are not correct, no offer to figure out how to make things better etc. This was all in front of my daughter and with other customers around. My wife sent some expletives his way. I threw him my credit card, told him to take my money and called him a condescending asshole. He, with so many words, told me he didnt want my money or business and to leave. Which I gladly did. I encourage ALL to think twice when contributing revenue to this man. His seasonal employees have been great, we definitely enjoyed our sweet treats during the warm months. BUT, I will not put another penny into his register. Ever! I wish I could give less than one star. I decided to try this place for the first time tonight. I asked for a snowball I saw online called "The White Wedding" and the kid taking my order said they have something call "wedding cake". Thinking it was probably what I was asking for I ordered it. Once I took the first bite, I knew I ordered the wrong thing and honestly I wasn't going to eat it. I told the guy we ordered from that I ordered the wrong thing and didn't like what I got. He told me if he was to make anything else he would need to charge me, which was fine and I said I understood(even though if we are being honest they are charging 5 dollars to ice and flavoring and seems like they could just fix it). he offered to add another flavor to the snowball and I agreed even though it just made it more inedible. everyone I was with didn't like the snowcones but no one was upset about it. as i was leaving one of the staff member (younger guy with a mullet) said "hey, next time use some eye drops". everyone found that to be extremely inappropriate. no one was rude to any staff member or being difficult. i personally don't really enjoy over paying for flavored ice that no one even enjoyed and have some kid with a mullet imply that i am high. we all left pretty disappointed and annoyed by that comment. it was definitely weird as someone in my mid-20's having an 80's movie bully give me a lame straight-edged one-liner. maybe if we were actually high, that would have been a tolerable experience. read more

Thrilled to have found this sweet little gem waaaay outside of my normal stomping grounds. Should I ever pass through this side of town I will be stopping by here for sure! Fantastic assortment of flavors, great list of suggested combinations and the price, while a wee bit high is well worth it! You don't need more than a small either. And I'm pretty greedy. One other thing that I loved was the cleanliness. Absolutely spotless. As a matter of fact, don't be put off if the owner is so into tidying up that he doesn't come over right away and take your order. Once everything is just so, he will come over and dryly take your order:) Be patient. These treats are made with love, and take time. However, they are saturated with flavor and the ice is perfect! Many people don't know what these "snoballs" are supposed to be like! When I was little, there was a stand-on-the-side-of-the-road place that served Hawaiian Ice. I spent up until 2 years ago searching for what I had my whole childhood and finally found it here at Big Easy's. It is outstandingly priced compared to similar temporary places that have popped up for triple the size of cups. I love the vanilla with condensed milk, it's delicious! Went to the location nearest to Buckhead. Went out of my way and drove 20 minutes to come. The owner was EXTREMELY rude. I ordered my usual snowball that I order everywhere I go. When I realized he didn't add the 2nd flavor I requested and told him, he said that I didn't ask for it. When I proceeded to tell him that I did, he was very combative and commenced to telling me that I didn't and that he writes down everything and has everything on camera! He also told me that it's a possibility that I ordered wrong and in no way could it have been him that didn't hear my order correctly. Not once did he just simply offer to correct the mistake by adding the 2nd flavor, whether it was his mistake or mine although it was not mine. I had to request for him to add the flavor! He also said as the owner and having run this business for sometime, he could not have possibly gotten it wrong. Shocked and appalled at his behavior, I told him that I wasn't used to this rude behavior here in the south being from up north, he replied "maybe you should head back then". Ok! So, I really want to give 5* and wish I had prior so I was just updating my review right now but I hadn't and my experience tonight required I leave a review! We have been here probably 25 times in the last year. We come enough that we get discounts almost every other visit. It is a little treasure we like to treat ourselves to. Not sure I'll visit as much after today. The gentleman working told me I could not have the equivalent of chocolate coconut cream pie! He really could not give us a reason as to why other than "the boss wants to stick just to the custom creations that are on there. You can make up your own from the menu but you cannot combine custom creations to make your own custom one! This really would not have been an issue had we not already created our own several times before with no problems! Then my husband asked if they did a banana pudding one, because there is a scrolling video that shows one that appears to be banana pudding. Yes, they make it but ONLY in the fall! Lol Then he asks the guy if he could get the tropical blast but instead of cream, get coconut condensed milk and add toasted coconut on top. He said yes to the condensed milk but no to the toasted coconut on top to save the sanctity of the custom creations. My husband had ordered exactly this before so why not now? The kid asks who made them before for us as if we are going to throw the good employee who made the customer happy, under the bus! Lol NOPE! Not giving you that person. This is ridiculous that we couldn't order what we wanted. I wanted chocolate-coconut! They wouldn't allow it and I wanted to leave with nothing, but instead got horchata. I assure you, neither of us were satisfied with our selections as we did not get what we wanted. Don't go and try to get what you want! You must only pick from theirs! Not sure when I will be back. This little place caught my eye yesterday when I went to pick up my car from the dealership. I decided to stop. I was excited to find a place that serves snow balls. I went to the window and waited for about 5 min before any one acknowledged me,I started to walk off, because I know the two people working there clearly saw me standing there. Very, Very, poor customer service. When my order my ready all the girl said was"yours is ready." So when I paid for my order the young lady was not friendly, didn't smile, or say thank you. I can't tell you how horrible this place is. Please do not think that this place is an accurate representation of REAL New Orleans Snowballs. 1) My parents were born and raised in New Orleans and you may not know this, but New Orleanians like to talk about the homeland. So when we asked if they were from the city of snowballs the girl at the window looked offended and said neither she nor her "father" who opened the stand were from New Orleans. RED FLAG! Needless to say, these people were probably from Ohio. 2) Worst customer service Ev-ah! The "father and child" working there looked like they just had a huge fight. Side story: New Orleans snowballs are tasty and the syrups are delicious and real people know how to make them. The "snowball" was half ice and half syrup, the sign of an inexperienced maker. When I politely asked for more syrup, the girl working seemed to question my request even though I had scooped enough away from them to see plain ice with no syrup. The "father" who owned the stand said there was plenty of syrup. Bob Saget there was. We have been here several times but had a horrible experience today and will NEVER go back. The young girl made the wrong flavor for one of our orders (had four kids with me) and when I asked her about it she refused to fix it and argued with me in front of my kids that she did not get it wrong but that we ordered it that way. Unbelievably rude and terrible customer service. She continued to call my daughters (9 and 5) liars while she could have easily spent that time making her a new one.
