I have been to other outlets previously but have been coming to this place as it is more convenient for now. Somehow I have managed to get same day appointment here more times than the one at Port Moody. I agree with other yelpers that the staff here are not overly friendly and I am not sure if it is due to language issue? Most can speak basic English but they definitely are more comfortable conversing in Chinese. I usually have the foot reflexology/massage and it's always good. I had the acupressure (body) massage on my last visit and it was good too. I'm so glad they are here as I usually have a foot reflexology when I sprained my ankles. Somehow they know how to massage and re-aligned the ankle. That's me, but it's still best to see a regular doctor first. Now they are passing on the credit card processing fee to customers. I have the vip member card so that doesn't affect me. And I do recommend getting the vip card if you want to get massages regularly. It's like a bank system where you put in money and they give extra 20% or 2 more sessions in it. It gets deducted when you use it for services. I like how they locked in the prices of when you get the card. And there's no expiry date. I got mine end of 2019, covid hit so I didn't go often, and now it's 2023 and I can still use the card. So the prices charged for me was based on 2019. Now the prices have gone up a fair bit so if I top up the card, it will be based on the current price list. One thing to note: they do expect tips in cash. I have seen them asking/telling customers to tip the staff. read more

Big Feet are all over the city. I've been to one other location previously (Victoria Drive) so when we wanted to go for a last minute foot massage (aka. reflexology), we decided to give this location a try. We called ahead and were able to make a same day booking so we dropped in mid Sunday afternoon. The inside is pretty bare and simple. They had a couple rooms for body massages; foot massages occur right at the entrance. Prices are okay. They advertised that their prices are increasing as of January 1, 2018 but when we went (October 2017), it was already at the new prices. $38.00 for a 50 minute reflexology (rather than $33.00). You can pay for the treatment by credit card but tips are cash only. My reflexology treatment was decent. I had an older lady so she couldn't go as hard as I wanted (she was using a tool half the time). My two companions had younger practitioners so they were hands on the whole time. They speak limited English (mainly Mandarin). I'd wait for a Groupon to come back. Just decent. read more

As the empire grows, so to does the access to places like this. I have seen 'Big Feet' locations, I have driven people to the Broadway and Cambie location, also the Victoria and 33rd location, and now this one pops up, and when I entered the first thing I noticed on the wall was a 'Grand Opening' poster and the deals they were offering, but also the many locations they have throughout the GVR... they are growing... big time! Entering here, with seeing this poster this place does feel new, like a very quick average reno, where the neon green painted walls look like they are still drying. Located in a plaza that houses a ramen joint, a Chinese restaurant, a HK cafe, a Vietnamese restaurant, just to name a few of the tenants here... and parking can sometimes be a pain, don't worry, depending on the time you are here... you can park the street! These places are built for maximum efficiency, as there is not much of a waiting area, three big home theatre like chairs are up front, I thought this was to wait till you get your appointment, not so... this is where it starts if you are getting a foot massage. They bring these big wooden buckets filled with hot water for you to soak your feet for a bit before the people work on you. I didn't know what to expect as my friend brought me here, and this was her first time at this location. So while getting my feet wet, eventually a person came out to dry them off, and get her hands on them. She was an older woman, and you can tell by the strength of her hands that she knows what she was doing. Eventually I had to shift myself to the bench that my feet were laying on to dry, and then she worked my shoulders, and if there was a mirror in front of me, there may have been some ugly faces showing as she was able to hit the stiff spots. English is not their first language here, as Mandarin is mostly spoken with a small understanding of English words like 'pain'! Eventually I was led into a room, darkened a bit from the lighting, and made to lie on a table which had a spot for my head, face first. As I lie there waiting on the comfy massage table eventually the same woman that was working my feet and shoulders worked on my back. She seemed to know exactly where all my stiff joints were, and after grimacing to the floor as she massaged my whole back side I blacked out.. yeah.. that good indeed. All I know is that my friend, and even the person massaging me said I was snoring, must have been that good. By the time this was all done it was around past 11PM, I felt tired, well relaxed, ready to go home and hit the bed. The prices are pretty resonable, and if you are looking to save a bit more money you can prepay for a voucher booklet and get an extra session free. I can say I had no bad effects the next day and felt totally fine, probably less stressed around the shoulder areas... so good job! It does feel like I was in China when I came to this place, but feeling aside... it was a good massage, I may come again. Ah Big Feet. Such a difficult place to review. I've been coming to Big Feet for over a year now thanks to their very reasonable prices for body massage ($40ish plus tip when using your "VIP card" aka loaded prepaid card) I've tried most of the locations but because of convenience have visited this Kingsway location the most often. When people ask me what I think of Big Feet, I usually say it's good but "1 in every 3 massages will be a dud", so just expect it and move on. However now that Im seeing the end of my third VIP card... I've grown tired of these duds and am ready to move on in favor of quality over quantity. As a general rule the Kingsway location has been the most consistent with quality. Staff is generally very kind, but it's the massage inexperience that makes or breaks every appointment (and borderlines on dangerous at times.) This past visit was my "dud" massage and it was bad enough this time I felt it necessary to share. The masseuse couldn't understand hardly any English (and I'm used to the limited level of English usually found here) and I had to remind her constantly to "please press softer." Which she would then do for a few minutes before forgetting and pushing painfully again. The first quarter or so consisted of her simply leaning her elbow to a spot beside my spine, wait a minute or two, then move up. At one point she even was using her phone in one hand. She had a constant sniffle as well wish she had been able to take a day off. (she only used her elbow and arms the entire time, wondering if because it was the end of the night/she was sick so she was tired or if she was just inexperienced?) She applied oil to my arms, pulled on them and then never touched them again. I was soaked in oil when the massage ended. Overall my masseusehad no idea where to touch and help. So while not all massages at Big Foot are this bad, it is something to be aware of. "1 in 3 is a dud." I've provided the following tips I've picked up over the past year or so of coming to Big Feet: Tip #1: Dont get body massage from the gentlemen. In my experience, the only know feet. Had one man answering the phone louding while massaging with one hand at the hastings location! Tip #2: Don't trust the masseuse to know what they are doing. If it's painful or uncomfortable, say something. Many of the massesuses are inexperienced (regardless of how old they are!) Tip #3: If you're willing to gamble and come here often like I have, get the prepaid VIP card. It's a good deal. Tip #4: Bring cash for tip! I've had massesuses get angry for paying the tip via card... (does it not go to them?) Tip #5: Establish some basic vocab. I typically have done couple body massage so usually one of the two will speak okay English (and I speak basic Mando) but I have experienced someone who can't even understand "soft" and "hard." Tip #6: Don't come at the end of the night. The masseuses are generally too tired and you won't get the same quality of massage (higher chance if getting the "dud") P.S. Recently a friend (who actually first recommended Big Feet to me) had a disc moved permanently thanks to a bad massage here. read more

Worst ever!!! Masseuse used her elbow to hurt me!!! I kept telling her that i was so painful but her pressure was still awful i don't even get her why she used her nails to massage my head by just scratching my skull. I know some of them are good but this time was worst ever which makes me not to go there anymore!!! I feel like i got more cramp after massage! Hope they could be much professional. read more

Decided to give this another try after failing to find anyone that could communicate in English at a Richmond location. Came in with my gf, and we did a reflexology foot massage together in the same room. All in all it was really good value for the price (in the 30s each for 45 mins). Legs felt great after and I felt pretty upbeat. Ladies did their work on our feet in a private room while we chatted away. Would recommend this place and we'll be back to try the body massages. read more

Always been pretty happy with the big feet in Richmond but this one is so much closer to home...came in again today because of migraines for an entire week and they not only did a full hour body massage to work out all the kinks but gave me an additional heat pad treatment for another half hour and a couple extra kneads at the end...definitely feel much better and will continue to go...highly recommend booking in advance because they are a little smaller than the one in Richmond with less masseuses...same day usually available but not all too sure about walk ins read more

Not very good massage at all. The masseuse used rubber gloves to massage me. Didn't feel good at all. I've been to other reflexology / massage places and this was the worst. Of course she demanded a tip like all Chinese women do especially if you're a man. Avoid this place. Kind of dirty and there are 2 tables per room, which makes you feel uncomfortable to say the least!! read more

So so experience. It started out OK. The masseuse looked like he knew what he was doing. I came in for a one hour massage. They started working on my back, as it was pretty sore at the time. I told him several times not to go too hard as it was extremely sore, and needed more of a relaxation massage to get the knots and tension out. He severely overdid it!! I didn't feel it at the time, but a few hours later, I couldn't stand or move. The next day I had to go to a chiropractor to help me sort my back problem, (Which worked by the way.) The problem was that they speak almost no english, so he couldn't understand what I was saying, as I was saying "NOT too hard" there, several times, but he just suddenly yanked on my back, which severely pulled some muscles in there. I was praying that it would work, but it didn't. I made it much much worse. I would recommend to stay away from there. The only reason someone would come there would be to get a relaxing or deep tissue massage, because you have some injury or tension in your muscles. This is not the place. I've had much better before many times. Also, what I found annoying was the fact that the rooms are not private, and the "private" rooms have a huge opening in the wall, so that you can hear anyone around you and they can hear you clearly, so you can't relax at all. read more
