I have to say, anyone who has anything negative to say about Joel, The Atlanta Fish Guy, really…read moredoes not have a clue! Joel has serviced our 180-gallon fish tank for probably 10-15 years. You really don't know what you've got with Joel until you find yourself without him for six months! Our tank had a lot of rock in it because it was originally a salt water tank, which Joel converted to fresh water years ago. Due to having problems with his shoulder and all the heavy rock in our tank, Joel had to stop being our maintenance guy. It was a very sad day for us when he couldn't maintain our tank anymore, but even sadder when after finding a new, supposedly professional fish guy (with good reviews!), he managed to kill every single fish in our tank! There were no mechanical, lighting or fish feeder issues, but a few days after a recent cleaning, our 25 or so fish started acting funny; all on top of the water in the corners. A few days later, every fish was dead. I immediately contacted Joel, with the hope that he could help us again or at least tell me who to call. He was here the next day! With his shoulder feeling better now, he and his son were able to drain every drop of water out and empty and clean all the gravel and rock. The tank is back in action and more beautiful than ever with Peacock cichlids and more plants than rock so it's manageable for him now. It's magnificent and Joel did the job in no time at all! So, here's praying for Joel to have good shoulders for many, many years to come because I NEVER want to be without him again! And after contacting the former guy with a more than nice text message about our ordeal and to tell him we're going back to Joel, his only response was: "OK." Joel is the absolute best and very reasonably priced for his expertise in the field! I feel very fortunate that we live within his service area. I'm sorry if you don't, but don't blame that on Joel for goodness sake!! We love you, Joel! And THANK YOU!!!

It also had a 125 gal sump system plumbed in the basement. Eric and Cue did an excellent job and got the job done in only 3 hours. Other aquarium companies I called quoted the job for thousands of dollars. They said it would take 6 or more hours. I lucked up going with Premier Aquatics. It was fitting taking the system down. I needed this job to go smoothly and it did. Their work was organized, they did not leave a mess and I am thrilled with what I was charged. Very honest and professional. I cannot say enough good things about these men and I recommend Premier Aquatics Service Department if you need to set up or take down an aquarium system. Call them first. You won't regret it. This spring the paint around the basin began to peel off so I started looking for someone new to repair it. After many false starts we found Vincente's Ponds and they provided a solution to repair the basin of our fountain. We are very happy with the results, they sealed the leak, refinished the basin, fixed the plumbing and electrical within the basin and our fountain is working again. We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Vincente's Ponds. They are reliable and keep you informed during all aspects of the project including when changes needed to be made to their schedule due to the weather. Great service and great results.

When i told him that that water is supporting some Tetra's and neons from petsmart, he got unset. The next time I bought an aquarium light, when I mentioned what I paid to some friends from the Atlanta aquarium Society they said I could buy thye same light for $50 less anywhere else. I checked, they were right. When I brought it back to have the price checked the owner didn't want to hear it, he got belligerent and nasty and the discussion went downhill from there. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner. I told him how my tank got Ich and how all of my sons fish died. He went into great detail of how the fish contract it, gave me a couple products to use for the future and told me what to do if it returns. When you walk in, it doesn't look too big but once you go to the back of the store, there's a huge variety of fish. If you have a freshwater tank, like me, there isn't a wide selection of fish. If you have a salt water tank, you'll be in heaven! Jacqueline was very informative. She explained to me what fish could swim together and which ones were aggressive. I'm sure I'll return! The fish can be a little pricey but you can tell they are well taken care of. Also make sure to watch your step because the grounds are a bit wet.

These people know their business. They have everything you need for your fresh and salt-water tanks. They can even sell you some amazingly custom setups if you want to upgrade from that 20-gal tank you have sitting in your living room. The fish seemed well-cared for. But don't go in expecting pristine conditions. I was reminded of my time in a biology lab--but that's how I know these folks are doing the right things. They made sure we got what we needed, and welcomed us back for more.
