PHENOMENAL! The staff were so kind:)) I got to meet Jenny and Haley today. I grabbed the Ponzu Salmon bowl, and had a great time chatting with a new staff member. Thank you for adding some magic to today! I loved the bowl--all the ingredients were very fresh and tasty. The sauce paired well with all the ingredients! I will absolutely come back to try more things, there's so many items to explore from! I also added a scoop of avocado, and it lasted the whole bowl. Overall great experience, please stop by if you're in the area!

Went on a Friday for dinner and there wasn't really a line to order. The owner was working and was very kind by getting me when we walked in. She helped create my BYO bowl by walking me thru all the ingredients and options. I was surprised to choose 2 bases and 2 proteins. It was a very delicious bowl filled with fresh ingredients and yummy sauces to pull it all together! Of course I went back up to get some mocha donuts before leaving as well! Lots of variety for flavors, and still fresh at the end of the day. These are light and airy donuts, that easily break apart into small round bites. I also found out contrary to popular belief, they're not gluten free. I stayed to eat inside since there's a lot of space and most people seem to stop in to grab and go. Its easy enough to find this place off Snelling but there's a ton of construction right now.

I absolutely loved coming here! It feels so fresh and clean right when you walk into the store. Parking was easy and the staff was friendly :) I'm a huge poke bowl lover so I was pretty excited to be included in this event. They have such an easy to read menu and give clear instructions on how to order! Everything was so good. I felt like the amount of food you get is really good for the prices! I ordered a ube boba tea and LOVED it! It had great flavor and the boba was cooked perfectly. I'm excited to come back to this store and try more items from their menu!! Thanks for letting me come check out the restaurant

Stopped by again today and Big Island Poke just never disappoints I try their eels as main protein for the first time and OMG it was absolutely delicious, you can tell it's fresh and goes perfectly with the eel sauce! My sisters ordered a tofu bowl, gotta say they have a lot of veggie options for those that are vegetarian! The store is always super clean! Can never complain about how kind and friendly the staff are, one of them recognized me since I visit quite often, she was so SWEET! Thank you for making my day! 10/10

The menu is also very affordable, especially for the quality and creativity of the donuts. Customer service stood out right away for us it was friendly, welcoming, and you can tell they're proud of what they've built in just a year. The donuts themselves were great in my opinion they were soft and fresh. I really liked the texture, light and pillowy without being overly dense. They're also not too sweet, which I personally prefer, and there are a variety of flavors to choose from so there's something for everyone. My favorites were the churro tres leches donut (so good) and the s'mores cold brew, which paired perfectly together. Overall, it has a really nice family-friendly patio vibe, very relaxed, cute with the pink aesthetic and perfect for hanging out while grabbing a treat. Excited to see their growth!

The quality is consistently outstanding, and you can tell a lot of care, creativity, and passion goes into everything you make. Beyond the donuts, I absolutely love the vibe. The welcoming atmosphere and unique personality of Donut Trap make it more than just a place to grab a treat--it's an experience. And if you can't make it to the shop on Saturday or Sunday, don't worry! You can still satisfy your craving by visiting one of their vending machine locations throughout the Twin Cities, including MSP Airport, Rosedale Center, Up-Down Arcade, Indeed Brewing, Modist Brewing, and more. Fresh donuts are never too far away. (thedonuttrap.com) Congratulations on an incredible first year of serving the community. Wishing you many more years of success, happiness, and amazing donuts ahead!

I first discovered…read morethis bakery when I moved into the surrounding neighborhood, and have since visited more times than I can count. All of the donuts here are wonderful - there is a large selection of cake and raised donuts, with different flavors rotating throughout the year. I have ordered 2-3 dozen to bring into work multiple times, and each time I get questions and remarks on how fresh and delicious they are. If I am in the mood for savory, a personal favorite of mine is the breakfast croissants: warm and oozing with cheese, ham, or spinach! Although my go-to is the chocolate croissant; I eat it almost weekly! The bakery also makes and decorates special occasion cakes. I recently ordered a Princess Torte for a friend's birthday, and it was a hit! I always feel welcomed at this bakery, no matter how busy or quiet a day it is. You can truly feel the love and warmth (and smell the deliciousness!) of the staff and community that frequently return as regulars. The prices are some of the best around, too!

Great with coffee, great to walk in and get a couple dozen for a work event or gathering! The space is small and gives a very homey vibe but I believe they were bought out by Woullet recently. I popped in this morning to get 2 1/2 dozen cake donuts for a work event and had lovely and quick service. Donuts here are still super cheap which is amazing! There are lots of other baked goods to try here but I am so loyal to the cake donuts that I rarely want to venture out of my comfort zone. Many items in the display case look pretty delicious too though! Maybe one day I will branch out. Also conveniently close to Northern Coffeeworks for a proper latte :)

My husband and I loved how lightly sweetened both the cream and the dough were. My tween was a little indifferent and would've preferred something non-cream filled with more sugar, but that's a tween for you. It's a smaller space with some seating, but the seating doesn't have windows, so we opted to walk across and enjoy our donuts while wandering the farmers market instead -- honestly a perfect way to eat them. If you're a donut lover, put this place on your list even if you have to park and walk a bit. Worth it.

It seems that they are rightly known for their sweet baked goods, hence the name, but they have some savory offerings as well. I had heard good things about their congee so I made a point to try that. It was good! Filling, plenty of meat. I also have had a unique, savory roll that was buttery and great, I forgot what it's called but it's good. And I had a Lychee Rose brioche donut. Decadent! Delicious. Loved it. I got a Vietnamese coffee one time that was great, and a matcha milk with ube foam that was also great. So, yeah, really everything I've had has been great! The opening hours are painfully limited. They are only open from 9am to 1pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And both times I came it was close to noon and they were sold out of LOTS of things. I'm convinced that if you go there because you want something specific, you simply can't trust them to have it available. Instead of planning a specific visit, the wiser approach would be to give them a look if you're in the area during one of the 12 hours they are open in a given week, and see if you're interested in what they aren't sold out of. They have an indoor counter which you get to via the main entrance on 4th street, and guessing your way through the halls until you find them past that gallery. There is also a seating section which has the ambience of a break room at a DMV. But there is also an outdoor window on Saturday & Sunday, with some seats set up in the alley; that description sounds dicey but it's perfectly fine. My hope is that they improve on some of this to make for a more predictably positive experience!

Our server was very nice to us and our kiddo, and gave good suggestions. We had the cold cuts app, kale salad, a pizza, tiramisu, and a few cocktails to share. All the food we had was great, well balanced flavors with interesting twists, like the fried chicken on pizza and the meaty kale salad. The limoncello spritz was so refreshing and good, but the espresso martini was just alright - I might pass on that next time. The tiramisu was to die for - my favorite in the cities so far! Will definitely be back for that, and to try some pastas, which looked and smelled amazing as they passed our table. The only thing that was a little weird was that we asked for whipped cream on the side for our kiddo, and they brought and charged us for "butter" which seemed to be some sort of mascarpone or heavy cream/ butter dish topped with salt and olive oil. It was good and the baby liked it, just wasn't what we expected - something to be aware of! The vibe was date-y and upscale, we felt alright having our baby with us, but definitely felt a bit out of place the few times she was loud. Perhaps on a weekday, it might be easier to bring kids, but even on a Saturday evening we still felt pretty welcome.

Lovely little place with delicious food and drinks at good prices!…read moreCame here on a Saturday evening with a group of three. We called around 5:30 to see if they'd seat us at 7:15 and they were able to reserve a table for us. I got the daily special which was like a chicken Parmesan but with steak. It wasn't my favorite thing because I was not expecting the steak to be thinly cut and more on the dry side. That could be my bad - I heard steak and was imagining something totally different. But it wasn't still pretty good! The noodle texture was to die for. It was $30. Drinks were delicious too and ranged from $12-$15. The only thing that I didn't love, is that they charge for every little thing. we got the focaccia and asked for olive oil and balsamic. Why was that an extra $2... $1 for olive oil and $1 for balsamic. If we hadn't ordered it, it would have been an $8 large sized muffin of focaccia - which turned into $10. Definitely not worth it. I asked for some extra Parmesan and they charged $2 for pecorino... honestly it just threw off the experience a little. And it came in the tiniest little cup. I understand maybe 50 cents but $2? Especially when we're having five drinks and three entrees between three people, realizing we were paying extra for those items on the check just was not enjoyable. I'd recommend this place to others as a great place for pasta and drinks, but pasta and drinks only. Maybe avoid asking for any thing on the side and I'd skip apps.
