Will definitely be going back to Pa Tea & Poke! They have specials on different days of the week! (look at the photo of the chalk board or their website) I am big fan of Thai milk tea, and this did not disappoint. Note, I usually get it "less sweet" from Sencha, and I really like that at Pa, you can specify the actual percentage of sugar. I ordered mine at 25% and thought it was perfect (a little sweeter than a normal latte, if you are trying to gauge what percentage to order). We got the salmon lover bowl and the , as well as the squid salad. The bowls were good, but I am definitely glad I added double fish, because there was a lot of rice and other things and I wanted more fish. I also will probably ask for more spicy mayo next time, because it was a little bland. However, there was definitely enough food, I didn't need more to eat, and I really liked the mix-ins. The texture of the squid salad was great, and I would recommend giving it a try, I just didn't care for the sauce (no reason, just wasn't to my taste). This is a casual dining place. There are a few tables, but it's not a big space. The service was good, and everything made it into our takeout order. read more

Stopped in for a large poke bowl. I was the only customer there. It took them 10 minutes to assemble. Fine. It's actually more egregious that they're charging $20 for a bowl that's half filled. I'm literally sitting here counting the pieces of fish. I think right now, I'm totally less than 15 "cubes" total. I have way more cucumber than anything else. Delicious tea, okay food. Fast service! Placed a delivery order because I was craving something fresh, so I opted for a Taro Root Bubble Tea, and the Volcano Bowl. The tea was solid, not overly sweet, and options to swap out milk & choose sugar levels. The bowl was good, but a bit mushy and about halfway through I was sick of it. There are options to swap ingredients to add more crunch, so maybe with a different selection I would have liked it more. Usually they are quite fast with the prep unless there is an unexpected long line. The only downside is that I feel like they run out of ingredients relatively often, especially spring mix! But I guess that's better than selling spring mix that's past it's prime. Would recommend for a quick takeout dinner in Northeast! One of my coworkers introduced me to Poke Café, and I'm so glad they did. I had never eaten here before, but from my very first visit, it instantly became a favorite. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, the flavors are vibrant, and the variety they offer is impressive. I would tentatively say this is the best poke place I've been to in the Minneapolis. The inside is small but cute and has a good amount of seating for the space. Parking is a little difficult as it's street parking in the Northeast but manageable even on a Saturday around lunchtime. Got their Hawaiian bowl and it was super easy to customize it on their site. Subbed salmon instead of shrimp and added poke sauce in addition to the mango sauce they already put on it. This bowl had soba noodles instead of rice and was a refreshing twist to the classic poke bowl. I would really recommend the poke sauce over the mango sauce (or at least add it) as I feel like it goes better with the soba noodles. The salmon was pretty fresh and overall the bowl had a lot of texture and flavor and left me wanting more. I got their Hong Kong milk tea with boba and honestly felt like it was decent but still lacking. The boba was chewier than what I would normally expect but not in a bad way. The taste was fine but nothing special if a bit watery. Would probably try something else the next time or skip the boba. read more

From reading PinKU's farewell letter, it looks to be Asian-American, women-owned so was excited to give it a try to support a local business. Came before the lunch time rush so it was quite empty besides two people working behind the counter. Menu focuses on poke and Chinese-style tea (e.g., cheese tea). Prices are a little high as many of these dishes are between $12-14. Ordered - Salmon Lover (3.5/5). It was good nonetheless, nothing too differentiating from others but filled a hungry, empty stomach during lunch. Portion was adequate but did leave some hunger. This place is in the previous Pinku restaurant so they have a super big shoe to fill. Special Bowl - combination of diced raw fish - salmon, tuna and yellowtail. Avocado, tomatoes and corn and seaweed salad with eel sauce. Very tasty bowl, but my complain is there is not enough fish. Lots of rice though. My biggest complain is that the bowl was served room temperature, which is a little nasty for a poke bowl. I hope they keep their raw fish at a safe temperature before serving. I feel fine so should be okay but I just prefer my bowl chilled when I eat poke bowl. Once I got home, I chilled the other bowl before eating it and it was way better with the raw fish. I also added my own wasabi and it kicked it up a notch! I really like their bubble tea. I ordered the oolong milk tea and taro milk tea. They taste good and exactly how I ordered it at 50% sweetness. Found out this place opened from Instagram and I was really missing poke since moving out here. The prices are extremely reasonable for poke, the location is prime for the Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood, and the food is fresh and delicious. I opted for the build your own bowl and did one scoop of salmon, and one of spicy salmon along with edamame, mango, cucumber, squid salad and a few other toppings which I can't remember. All that for under $15 is a great deal, especially out here in the Midwest where seafood can get really expensive. Both forms of salmon were great and the portions were generous. I noticed they also had a huge milk/boba tea selection which I would've definitely ordered if it wasn't so cold the day I went. I will without a doubt be coming back! read more

I've been missing some good poke since I left Fairfax, and this place hits the spot. Respectable size scoops of decent quality fish, a wide variety of options for make-your-own, and all for a very reasonable price. Same goes for the boba, I got a large taro boba for pretty cheap, and they were kind enough to throw in a free one too! My only complaint is that the white rice didn't taste all that fresh, which could be my fault for going right before closing (the soba noodles were refreshing and made up for it). Ordered on DoorDash. Was not a huge fan... I love poke and have tried all places. Rice was undercooked, tuna had a funky smell to it, and it was not very flavorful. I paid an extra dollar for extra cucumber and got 6 thinly cut pieces... so you're telling me I would've gotten only 3 thinly cut pieces if I didn't pay extra? I ordered a large and it is the smallest large I've seen compared to other poke places. Super disappointed but hopefully the owners will take this review into consideration and at least make more flavorful and fresh poke with fully cooked rice.
