I had a slow leak in one of my wife's tires from a nail. I took it to Ramsey Tire on Reynolds road. After checking it they told me the tire could not be repaired and that I needed a new one. I asked the price....$164.00. I left and called Big Jakes and spoke to Casey ( I highly recommend him ), and got the price of the tire from him. It was the same price as Ramsey. I had him order the tire and went in to have it installed the next day. I asked Casey to look at my old tire and let me know if it could be repaired. After looking at it he said "Sure, we can repair it". The repair cost was $10.00 saving me $154.00. Casey said he would hold the new tire for a week in case the repair did not hold and if it did not he would credit me the $10.00 repair fee against the cost of the tire. The repair has held for months. Now that is service from honest people. read more

DO NOT USE BIG JAKES!! We had a motor taken there back in January and they sent it off for repair/blasting and here we are July and having to fight to get our motor back from them. We were promised the motor would be back on such and such date to no avail. They lost the ticket to the motor and they were blocking us from getting it back. We finally got the motor back once we threatened them with felony charges since the motor alone was worth over $5,000. We got the motor back and the guy never worked on it so now here we are 6 months down the road and we have to find someone else to do the work that was already supposed to be done. read more

I have been here several times (flat tire plugged, oil changes, new tires, AC repair, and other odd noises). They are always busy for a reason! They do good work! It's not fast food, I'm glad they take the time to find what's wrong and I'm ok with the wait or just dropping it off. They will even take me back home/work if I want to leave it! We have used this place since we moved to Bryant and until today the service was decent. Last week the AC in the front of my wifes car stopped working. The AC in the back still worked just fine. A quick google search turned up with a problem with the heater blend door actuator that lives on the passenger side in the front. I crawled down there and watched the actuator while my wife changed temperatures and it never moved. I was on my way out of town for work so I wasn't able to take care of this myself, so I told my wife to take it down to Jake's and let them replace the actuator. She dropped her car off on Thursday ( 5/16 ) of last week, they were not able to look at it till Friday. On Friday, they called my wife and said it was a bad AC compressor. Since she couldn't get a hold of me, she took their word for it and went and bought a new compressor and took it over to Jake's for them to replace it the same day. They didn't have time to replace it till today ( Tuesday 5/21 ). I am back in town at this point and she tells me they had to replace the compressor. I thought that was very strange since it was clearly just the actuator. We go to pick up her car and the employee tells us that they replaced the compressor and it still didn't fix the problem and they don't know what is wrong. Mind you, my wife told them that it was the actuator when she dropped it off. Then said employee tries to tell my wife they need to do a "kit" job on the whole AC system. At this point I walk in and tell them, no bring the car around, we are done. We get home and I unhook the door arm from the actuator and manually close the heat doors and guess what... the AC in the front is now working. I am not sure if Jake's just wanted to take advantage of a female and blowing them off or they are just incompetent. All they need to do was take five minutes to check the actuator like we asked. This was a $550 dollar lesson not to use this place again. Just in case someone from Jake's reads this and said.. it didn't cost $550, let me break it down. $321.00 for a AC Compressor we didn't need. $142.00 for labor -- cut that in half since it was diag'd wrong and they did change the compressor even though it wasn't the problem. So we couldn't take it back to get our money back. I shouldn't have to pay full labor for something that wasn't correctly diag'd. $160.00 for the rental car for my wife. read more

This is a a shame. I have been going here for about 3 years and have bought 3 sets of tires and other things over this time. I sent my daughter up to get her wheel/tire repaired for a minor accident she had. 1st she was told the wheel could be repaired and fixed in bout 3 days. The person that was suppose to fix the wheel didn't do what they said they could ( a 3rd party by the way) . So they kept putting her off. That's when I stepped in. So then they said it couldn't be repaired they could order me a new wheel. I said ok and it would only take 2 days. After many days had past they finally had the wheel. This is 2 weeks later at this point. Then they called to tell me the tire was bad. We should have determined that the tire was bad 2 weeks prior. So now all they had was a $169 tire that fit the car and had already put it on. It was a difficult tire to find on short notice. Mind you that I only spend $250 on all 4 6 months prior. I complained and they knocked off $20. I didn't think this was fare and if we would have had the hindsight to see we needed a new wheel and tire I could have saved a good amount money. I will say the guys where nice and did try and help just though we shouldn't have paid so much when they had accidentally dropped the ball. if i could give 1/2 a star-i'd have done it!!! unfortunately, i pulled in to big jakes tires that is next to sonic on hwy 5....this place told me a tire of mine that recently that went flat on my way home, (we live in saline county, the object could have been anything!) and i was told before even physically looking at my car, i was told that it could not be patched. so, after i had been rudely talked down to-by a tire guy with a shaved head-(i guess because i'm a woman)-he seemed a little too eager to get to get me to hand off my keys to him, so he could move my car into the shop to get started on new tires....i was trying to walk out (to get to tire town before they closed)-then, another guy joined the shaved headed tire guy, (this new guy had a black beard)....once they were together, they both tried to convince me that my tires were bubbling on the side walls.....then tried to get me to buy 4 brand new tires when they couldn't do so much as a patch??!? it wasn't making much sense to me, mainly because i know how old the current set i have on my car now, (that are only 6 months old), i had bought online on "tirerack.com" website, i then had them mounted and balanced at tire town (located in benton). i was beginning to feel very uncomfortable at big jakes so, i left immediately and drove to tire town (where i should have gone to start with/jakes just happened to be closer) ....tire town was able to patch it, and didn't charge me because i had to wait for 30 minutes for the guys to get to it....once i got to tire town, i told them what was said to me regarding bubbles-they checked my tires out, even showed me, and advised me that i have no bubbles and plenty tread left.....seems to me that big jakes isn't here for the community or to help people out-just because its closing time. they will, however, do anything to sell new tires over plugging a tire, then wanted to place a used tire when all i needed was a patch.....i can only guess its all means to get more money out of some "gullible" women. this place may even take advantage of the elderly and even veterans! ....well i'm not "gullible" so-i will tell everyone i know to stay away from big jakes tires....the name of the business should tell you about how egos run this place! i read another review of this place that said this place does not support its troops-that also explains the name of this "business". i won't ever do business with a place that wont support service members or treat women with respect! read more

Good service at a good price. Bought a set of tires for my daughters car and we were in and out very quickly.

I stood in there for 20 minutes no one acknowledged me, definitely will never do business there! It might have been different if I didn't have workers pass by me 3 or 4 times. And never asked if I needed help or anything....wouldn't give a single star but u have to, to post. read more
