Herbert was a big help for me with getting my 2016 Honda accord touring fixed. I had taken it to…read moremultiple mechanics AND the dealer, and no one could tell me exactly what my issue was and just be straight with me. I had an emissions system issue that gave me the code 'P0139'. The first mechanic I took it to last year told me that it was a simple o2 sensor issue (rightfully so considering the code I was getting), yet when he replaced the sensor, the light continually came on. So he replaced it again, and replaced another o2 sensor on the vehicle (according to him). When none of that worked, he told me that my catalytic converter was faulty, and that I was going to have to pay roughly 8k for a new one. Safe to say I didn't believe him, nor did I stick around and simply take his word for it. I started making calls and, at first, genuinely believed that I was going to have to come up with the 8k by summer 2026 (when my smog inspection was due). I thought at one point I was sold a faulty vehicle too and even tried to receive compensation for the error. Turns out that wasn't the case, and even if it was, there wasn't much I could about it anymore. I took it to others who quoted me ridiculous prices for a simple diagnostic, I took it to others that just simply couldn't tell me what was wrong, and then to make things more confusing, the light would go on and off and would even go off long enough for me to pass smog!!! (Even though the first guy I went to said my catalytic converter was bad). Then, I looked online and found Master Tech. Great reviews, great location in the South Bay (Torrance), and fair pricing. Diagnostic was about 160, which would go toward repairs if needed, and if they couldn't find the issue I'd pay zero dollars! When I first got there, already Herbert pointed out things no mechanic pointed out before. I was told and under the impression that all my sensors were new and changed... they weren't. He also informed me that my vehicle was an American built one (not Japanese or Canadian, which I heard can make all the difference in quality). That's information that, although wasn't a huge concern, let me know that this guy paid attention to detail and really cared about what he was doing. He then told me to leave it with him later on in the week so he could give the vehicle TLC (tender love and care), and to be comfortable with not having my vehicle for a couple days (wasn't a problem at all). Eventually he gets back to me after a day and lets me know that the sensor had to be changed out with an oem one, as the previous mechanic put in an aftermarket one. On the day that I picked the car up and paid for the install, we both hopped in and took it for a ride, and the engine was running smooth like butter now. No more rich running (causing my gas to burn faster), and no more harsh shifting. He then hands me over the old sensor and informs me that I should go get my money back from the other mechanic. It turns out, the other guy was trying to screw me over (surprise, surprise!), whereas Herbert was honest and righteous. The piece the other mechanic put in was a Bosch sensor, made specifically for German made vehicles. Smh. It was for VOLKSWAGENS and the like ONLY. He was just trying to get me to pay him thousands, and perhaps allow me to further damage my engine and transmission from the issues he was forcing my vehicle to go thru for the time that it wasn't working properly due to a lazy, incompatible o2 sensor. I was relieved that I found Herbert who was able to help me and install the correct piece for a fair price (443 roughly, as opposed to the almost 700 dollars the dealer would've tried to charge me). I like his style, and he is definitely a righteous mechanic. Thank you bro!

I went to Big Joe's early on a Saturday without checking first, only to find out that he was on vacation. The service manager at Red Carpet noticed I was waiting and came over to ask if he could help. I told him I was there for a ding repair estimate. He walked around my car and said $700. I said WOW, that's pretty expensive. He thought about it again and then came down to $500. I said that sounded good and that I would be back the following Saturday. Come Saturday I showed up early and Joe was there. What a down to earth nice person he is indeed. He looked at my car, said he had one other customer ahead of me and that he should be able to have the job done in a couple hours. I walked across the street to Manhattan Village, had a cup of coffee and killed some time. Joe texted me a little after noon and said my car was finished. He had fixed 5 or 6 dings and a good size crease in my passenger side door, which was the main reason I went there to have my car fixed. He explained that the estimate for the door by itself would have been around $500. Being a man of integrity, he honored the estimate that the service manager had given me the week before. The car looked GREAT! I could not have been more pleased. I highly recommend Big Joe's. Courteous, professional, honest, and a true craftsman of his trade. read more

Outstanding Service - Highly Recommended! I rarely leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for this incredible dent removal service. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. "Big Joe" was professional, punctual, and clearly an expert at his craft. I had a couple deep door dings on the driver's side of my '25 Suburban Z71 that I was sure would require body shop work. But to my surprise, Joe was able to remove them completely--no trace left behind! Moreover, using a special light he uncovered several smaller dings which he also took care of a very reasonable price. The repairs were done quickly, with meticulous attention to detail, and at a price well within my budget. What stood out even more was the customer service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Got a BMW recently, which I love, but had the bad luck to have a tree fall on the backside of the car leaving a pretty bad dent across the body lines right under the rear window. I took it by a couple body shops that didn't think it could be fixed without a new part and paint (since it was across body lines). The quotes were astronomical and I was feeling super stressed about it as I was feeling like they were even confident it would turn out well. A friend of mine then referred me to Joe, and I'm so happy they did! He not only fixed the issue, but it looks as if the damage never even happened! He also found and fixed a couple other dings, AND detailed my car, all for less than the other guys quoted just to fix the first ding. Incredible!!! I noticed a sizeable dent on my front fender of my car and looked for somewhere close to Venice for a quote to repair it. Passed Joe's place many, many times in the past so I remembered the sign when I finally needed a dent repair. Brought my car in and got a quick estimate from Joe. Made appointment a few days later and dropped the car off in the morning, ran errands and picked it up in the afternoon. Fantastic job. Joe is a perfectionist and said it was the best he could do. Was more than enough for me. Had a few other estimates already at 3x's the cost and 3-4 days of work. If your repair has a possibility of paintless dent removal (PDR), Joe is your guy. While on vacation with a rental SUV, I was parked at my hotel when another guest parked next to me and slammed his driver's side and rear doors into my front and back passenger doors, causing severe dents. I am not a frequent user of this app. Going out of my way to recommend JOE at RED CARPET CAR WASH, on Sepulveda and Marine in Manhattan Beach, California. Have a beautiful 2019 X4 BMW with 15,000 miles. She has a few vertical dents on the hatchback from opening in a garage with an automatic door opener. When the car door opened, it hit the moving chain. BMW dealer quoted $2,000. Joe was successful removing the dents and applying matching 2019 BMW paint. Car looks great! Joe charged $500.00. Joe is especially skilled. I had multiple door dings and small dents on multiple panels on my BMW Grand Coupe. The dealership said they would not be able to fix many of them being too close to the edges. Joe, on the other hand, seemed to have no problem at all. He gave me an extremely reasonable price. Honestly, it was like magic. I drove in, saw Joe and he walked right up. I asked him to take a look. We did. He said he thought he could pull this ugly little dent. I said how long will it take? I took my 66 el Camino to have two quarter size dents taken out. When I met with Big Joe, he told me that he was confident he could get 90% of the dents out and it would take 3 hrs. I took my Ruby Red Mustang to fix a gouge in the paint on the grill area of the car, replace the chin spoiler and service the windshield washers. The windshield washer reservoir is only accessable from under the car so I had them do that service while they did the other work. When they performed the gouge repair they removed the entire bumper cover so they could remove the grill and do the job properly, not just patch, mask the grill and paint. The shield under the car also had to be removed, a great time to fix the windshield washers and replace the chin spoiler. When I took my car in I pointed out some deep scratches on my fender that a detailer left with his buffer. That detailer could not buff it out and denied scratching the car. Another detailer was not able to buff it out either. The fine people at Urban Collision Center were able the buff out the scratch and touch up a tiny ding on the edge of the drivers door. A very plesant suprize! Now that I received my car back it is in perfect condition! Urban Collision Center also performs major repairs, i.e. they were spot welding a new roof the a car while I was there.
