One gave me an estimate for a total trunk replacement estimate while the other gave me a possible dent removal without replacing the trunk estimate. Expo quickly gave me 3 estimates - brand new trunk replacement, certified pre-owned BMW trunk replacement, and possible dent repair that would not fully fix the dent. Upon pick up, I mentioned a noise that was coming from the same wheel that got repaired . I dropped my car off once again & told the team what the noise sounded like & when it would happen (ie: the humming/rotating noise grew louder & higher pitch when driven over 35 mph). They got back to me because they didn't know what I was talking about ‍. I suggested I take them for a ride to personally point out the noise. We did. At first they suggested, "that's just the sound of the road", then why did it follow me everywhere I drove? They suggested, "that's just the way your car sounds when idling", then why was the noise present only after the fact I hit the pothole? They even suggested it was something in the dash but I could clearly hear it was coming from the wheel. The car is only 3 years old btw I explained over and over that it was not normal, but they looked me dead in my face to say "Nothing is wrong with your car. We checked the suspension and it's perfect. I assure you, you're safe to drive your car". I felt defeated, undermined even paranoid. It's been a few weeks and the sound has been growing louder. I took my car to a second mechanic in Torrance, who listened to my description, previous repairs and didn't make me feel like I was out of my mind . He fixed the noise in hours. Wheel bearings needed replacing. Apparently a common issue when hitting pot holes. I'm updating with 3 stars because they fixed up my wheel, alignment and suspension. However, I didn't appreciate the gaslighting about "the noise, being completely normal & safe". Maybe this was out of their capability? I'm not sure as it was my first time hiring this shop. Nevertheless, I won't be back, I'd rather go to a mechanic that listens and doesn't make me feel out of my mind. read more

The hood latch on my Lexus was not working when I went to replace my windshield washer fluid. I took the car to a Hermosa Beach Independent Lexus service center and was quoted a huge fee to replace the latch.
