I second guessed myself in Booking this motel as the hotel seemed old, but the reviews were what made me book it. The motel was worth it! I showed up late (around 9 pm) so no one was at the office for check-in. BUT they check you in remotely! This threw me off as this was the first time I was checked-in this way. It looks like a Ring camera and you do press the ring button. Someone speaks to you over the camera and obtains your info. Then you are told your room number. You don't have to sign anything or give your card (worked out well for me as I made my reservation through Booking.com). Once in our room I was shocked at how spacious it was! It may look old, but it had everything you need and then some. They provided towels specifically to remove any Death Valley dirt or any makeup. The microwave and fridge were in working order (I say this as sometimes with motels they are not) and they even put a hand sanitizer bottle in the room. We didn't stay around to check out the little town, but it definitely was a wild Wild West type of feel to it. Definitely recommend this motel for the comfort, space and location. BTW there is a great BBQ place down the street.

It NEVER got really cool and we ran the air conditioner on high/auto and set it for 75. It never got to that temp to shut off. So hot all night. Someone else said that this happens all the time and people complain. The lock/key to get us in the room did not work very well. The lady at check-in said it can be a "little" tricky. I had to try about 6-7 times to get in. Fix it! We had our dog and the room was dog friendly. However, there is really no place to walk them without walking through trash and waste in back of the hotel. Where is the pride in this town? We had stayed here before but t has gone down hill fast. No place to walk and eat. Eddie's World breakfast was greasy and slow. They do have an old Denny's in the casino. The bed was comfortable. TV was small and picture was blurry on almost every channel. Motel 6 is next door. Rooms are cleaner but super small.

She made sure the room she was checking us into was sufficiently cleaned by housekeeping that afternoon. We picked the ground floor, as it was easier to slip right down the hallway when coming and going. The room was a double, and they are very small. The lighting isn't the greatest, and it makes for a dingy, uninviting looking room. It was clean, and smelled freshly cleaned. The shower was the weirdest shape ever....fit into a corner. Water pressure was good, and the water temp was nice and hot. The coffee bar was not so desirable. Yes, it is free coffee....but slim pickings on the creamer and not a very good setup. Just haphazard and almost like putting a sign out that simply says..."here, coffee". The beds were hard, the pillows to soft and mushy and only two on each bed. Be careful getting into the bed as it will literally slide right off the base. Also, too much noise throughout the night....you can literally hear everything in these rooms. It was pricey for what you get, even with an AARP discount. However, I don't know what other options are in this small town.

It was still early and the office wasn't open yet, but when I called, Brandon answered right away. The gentleman who checked me in, was very friendly. The hotel looked great from the froont. The rooms are in several buildings in a row back from the front. Our room was in the second row, and there was a dirt path to our room. We go inside the room, and the first thing we noticed was while the room was clean, it was like somebody had sprayed an entire can of Febreze into the room. It was strong. We tried to open the window to air it out, but the window wasn't working properly. It was also cracked. One of the lights next to the bed wasn't working so I had gotten a replacement bulb from the lobby. It looked a little strange, but we put it into the lamp, only to discover that it i was a black light. Huh? What kind of places is this? We couldn't stay. Both of us were getting a headache from the Febreze smell, and it was causing my traveling partners allergies to kick in. We left the room, I went to the lobby, explained it to the gentleman, and he did process a refund immediately. The Febreze smell was so strong, it even stayed on our clothes for a bit. Like I said, it looks nice on the outside, but looks can be deceiving.
