The clerk was helpful and got me going in the right direction, once she knew what I needed. (The store i used to pick up balloons from went out of business). I found the balloons i was looking for, paid for them, then gave them to the clerk, who filled them and tied them with the colorful string. The price was actually cheaper than the previous business I used to frequent. Afterall this is a discount store! I was surprised and relieved as there were not other places nearby to purchase what I needed on such a short notice! 5 Below came through for me! I will pay this store more visits in the future! They are closing at the end of April, 2024 and moving across the street according to a post on their Facebook page. There are still a few pieces of furniture deeply discounted (bookshelves for $25.00), a couple racks of clothes and some kitchen items, hangers, toys still for sale but beware... the offerings are exceptionally few. The shop is nearly empty, and the staff seem preoccupied enough to even notice you are there. From Sloan's Thrift Facebook page: Exciting News! Sloans thrift will be closing its doors and relocating across the street to its new location next to the new Planet Fitness (old rite aid location or for better clarity, near Ollie's. This move is already in process. Even thought the idea saddens us, we are looking forward to a bigger location. The plan is to close up last week in April and reopen May1st. More updates will come as things progress but just remember now Bristol will have 2 great thrifts stores in one great location!

Worth wandering around for an hour. They actually give you a Target reusable bag for free to bring home your purchases.

I spent a long time trying to pull one towards the bottom out only to realize it was the wrong size. When I found another I had no energy left and Two employees offered to help me. Gavin and Joe worked together to get to the bottom of the stack. There are really a lot of great rugs here but the way they are being stored really made it hard for everyone to look through. This is definitely a great spot to grab health and beauty supplies. They had Native products for $3 which is about 75% off regular pricing. They also have a lot of clothes, but no fitting rooms and a no returns policy. All clothing items are $3 each or $25 for 20 pieces which is crazy! They also have lots of Amazon return bins filled with random stuff that sell for 2 for $5. Lots of outdoor furniture options, toys and baby supplies. This is a fun spot to bargain hunt on a rainy day. Expect a long line but it's well worth it and every employee was super helpful.

I am not sure if it is just me but dollar stores seem to only have Mylar balloons now that they fill up and the latex balloons they won't fill up. This is the second place that told me I could buy the latex balloons and purchase a helium tank at Walmart or Party City which I just don't understand. The only big positive was that everything is a dollar and for party planning things they have things with almost every color that you may possibly need.

They have great displays with different sizes underneath. A lot did not have pricing but Rick was kind enough to price check everyone that I was interested in. They also sell the grippers to go under the rugs for only $29.99 which is half the price of Amazon. When I found the perfect rugs Rick was nice enough to wrap them up, carry them to the register and load them into my car. They also had fantastic deals on laminate and vinyl plank flooring, 50% less than what I just paid at Home Depot. You never know what you will find at Ollie's. The perfect store you browse on a rainy day!

I purchased a pair of jeans only about a week ago. There was no where to try them on of course but…read moreaccording to the size I should have been able to fit them. I got them home and could not even get them up past my thighs. So I tried to take them back to the Goodwill store and they refused to allow me to return them for only a store credit because I didn't have the receipt. The tags were still intact. I had never taken them off but because I didn't have the receipt, they would not let me return them. Therefore, I'm stuck with a pair of jeans that I can't wear. How is it that the jeans are obviously miss sized and you don't have a place for customer to try anything on but you don't make allowances for when items don't fit? Where is the good will in that? Needless to say, I will not be returning to this particular Goodwill store! I advise everyone to choose another Goodwill store with a more customer friendly return policy. I believe this store could have been more understanding, especially since customers can't try anything on!!!

As we walk in…read morewe start to look and right behind me is a women who says to me... do you mind if I put your bag behind the counter.. I say.. my purse??? She says yes. You need to put it behind the counter. ( my purse is a Vera Bradley Disney bag) My husband says that's her purse.. she says, ok take your purse out of the bag and I'll put your bag behind the counter. I say nooo these are my belongings. (I have cash, credit cards, car keys, my phone, a Louis Vuitton wallet, and my children's wallets with their cash) She says "you're not allowed to have a back pack, it's on the door"... my husband (who is a police officer) says "let's go! She thinks we're going to steal!" She says, "no, it's just if you happen to turn around and break something you'll have to pay for it". I have never broke anything is any store with my purse in my life. I have also been to this store multiple times with no issues. (I don't carry a normal purse. I always wore it on my back because I have 3 kids and don't wanna set it down.) So we walked out and I will never got back. Do better
