After leaving the military and relocating several times, I can confidently say this is one of the best moving crews I've experienced. The office staff was responsive, providing all the information we needed to prepare for our move. They quickly answered my calls when I had questions just days before. Andre and his moving team were outstanding. They arrived on time at both loading locations and efficiently loaded our belongings in record time. I wish I saw these reviews before hiring this crew. One member showed up smelling like a bag of pot. One furniture piece was damaged and I was told that they would replace or reimburse. Neither happened. They repaired the piece then wanted to charge me to move it to it's new destination. I would have moved it if I knew that was the course of action. Instead, they wanted to charge me an additional $250 for one piece of furniture. In addition to the damaged furniture piece. The crew dragged and scratched my beautiful wood floor in multiple locations across the grain of wood. What that means is the scratches are still visible after the "repair" was completed. I originally left a positive review for this company. After my review, I saw an additional charge. My move was quoted for 3 hours. My final invoice stated 3.5 hours. I understood the additional charge for a half hour. They later charged me for 5 hours. With no notification, no amended invoice, no explanation. I left 3 messages with no response. It was not until I notified them that I would be contacting my credit card that I received a call back. I was told that I should read the sales agreement because they can charge my credit card if they need to - with no explanation. I signed an invoice for an amount and was charged a different one. Very disappointed. Started with they tried to cancel day before, came 2 hrs late, not enough men and truck too small. The men were nice but didn't know how to disassemble furniture which was noted in the contract and shown on the zoom phone call. I had no choice but to sign a waiver or they wouldn't move this furniture which is very large and of course they damaged the mirror, funny which was the only two parts they took apart, so they didn't wrap correctly. The men that came for the move also said this was not right and they are the ones that said I should call and get money back. When I reported it the only responses by email was told there is a deductible lol. Now let's get into the price quotes $1800- $2200 and they me charged me $2800 automatically on credit card. I notified my bank after accounts failed to contact me after 10 days and multiple follow ups. Still waiting to hear back about 3 damaged items. I'll update this review if these claims get resolved. On May 17, 2025, their truck showed up to move my new neighbors in across the street and pulled into my driveway without permission and left tire marks in the driveway. I called the company and was told the tire marks were the Township's responsibility and not theirs. I made several phone calls to them that were never returned before I went to the corporate office with my complaint that was also ignored. I will never use them again. I hired them last year for my move from DC to VA and they were great. I hired them for my mom's move in Philly. She moved from one floor of an apartment to another. They not only over charged us, the broke her grandfather clock which we bought insurance for, but they wouldn't pay. Two of the movers were good but the third talked and cursed the whole time. Didn't know they were a franchise so each one is different. They charged $255 for the workers to drive from Moorestown to Philly and back saying it's a tariff charge. I used 2 Men and a Truck to move out of Philadelphia into NJ in March of 2019. They were fast, efficient & reasonably priced, so when it came time to move within NJ, I called them up again. I did not realize it would not be the same company, as this is a franchise. The move was fine overall. Two bookcases were broken, but I realize that there is a limit to furniture and things like that are unavoidable. The three men I hired were kind of slow & jokey towards the end, which is why me and my boyfriend jumped in to help distribute boxes and furniture in the hopes of keeping the costs to a minimum. What I want to warn others about is the pricing and the hidden costs: You will pay $185 an hour from the time the truck leaves Morristown until the time that they get back to Morristown. What this means to you, dear consumer, is that if they determine (no gps available) that you are a half hour away, they take $185 right off the bat. Also, there is some additional $100 fee on top of their 4 hour minimum, so the costs skyrocket. This is an expensive service, and I implore you to look elsewhere for more reasonably priced movers. In layman's terms: my move from Philly was under $400, but my move within NJ was over $1,000. In the whole whirlwind of moving, I did not realize that the cost was so high & I hope to save someone else the trouble of being scammed by this company, because it is my own fault for accepting these terms based on previous experience with (what I know now) a completely different company. They did not wrap all my furniture as promised and were asking me for supplies such as tape and scissors!? I hired them for an ease and it was anything but. Movers damaged my furniture, my walls, and my hardwood floors dragging heavy furniture across them. Customer service is unresponsive and unwilling to work with you regarding any damage claim. I was charged for time that was not used. Also, I asked a mover to take a part a piece of furniture, was disregarded, and he proceeded to haul it over my balcony on the second floor. Scam artist- stay away from this company! They provided an estimate for 3 &1/2 hours based on the list of furniture I provided. It took them over 9 hours and didn't even finish. My husband ended up helping them for 4 hours. They didn't reassemble 2 beds, didn't reattach doors on the armoire, they didn't even remove plastic from some piece. Plus, they damaged EVERY piece of furniture that they handled. They had the nerve to charge me for the 9+ hours which I disputed with my credit card. This scam company then provided my credit card company with "my initials" on their invoice. Totally fraudulent! I NEVER signed at the end. I told the driver that I would be disputing the charges. They filled in my initials onto their form. I never even saw an invoice until I was sent it by the credit card company. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company is opening up another investigation into the claim. Do not use this service!! Was informed I was paying for a full day so the timing of how long the move took did not matter. The workers took breaks, smoked cigarettes, 1 move was just overseeing the work, I bought them lunch, they "ran into traffic". Workers were unprofessional and commented about drugs, how they did jail time, and expect/demand big tips. After providing them a nice tip for fear of my safety, My credit card was charged without my authorization for an additional $2k than the original price which was signed off on because the move took over 8 hours. They didn't even reach out to notify me ahead of time, their back office sent a bogus invoice for the additional hours. This is exactly what I would consider Highway robbery. My furniture was damaged and when I tried to use the insurance that I purchased through them I was presented with a mound of paper work and they require original receipts for the furniture. If you want your items to arrive in one piece *DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*. I was sent two limp spaghetti noodle armed men who were nowhere near equipped to handle furniture that weighs over 200 pounds. My main issue is how they conned me out of a reimbursement of a 6 month old treadmill I invested $4,000 into. They dropped it twice, scraping my landlord's paint and punching a hole into drywall the first time. The second time, they dropped it from their truck which was 5 feet high. Keep in mind that the people who came to install the treadmill were a 50 year old average size man and a average size 20 year old man. They have a very complex process which they try to trick you with. Corporate will tell you it's $1 per 1 pound for a reimbursement of a broken item (If they believe they cannot repair it). This wasn't even the only thing they damaged, just the most expensive. After 3 or 4 exchanges with the manager and snotty remarks from the mover, they reluctantly settled on $6 per 1 pound. We signed the contract and paid thinking they would file a damage report like they said they would. They did not. 3 weeks went by until we contacted them and we are no closer to resolving our issue now than we were before as they are now blaming US for not making a damage report. At first they said they had no idea about our treadmill problem then slipped up in a later email and claimed it was a small amount of damage. I have no hope of receiving the damage reimbursement anymore but I can still warn some of you. The day of moving they slammed us with extra details that were never mentioned in our emails. They cannot take your tv or wall mount down for you, you must do it. They won't do it. If the government siphoned tax dollars into creating a sub-par moving company, this is what the company would resemble. You would have better luck shipping your items with USPS ground. Unless you want to get ripped off, avoid giving your credit card to these people!!! They gave me an estimate and told me they will only bill for time used. Once they had my card I was screwed. After my move they charged 20% MORE THAN AGREED AND MUTUALLY SIGNED FOR ON THE BOL!!! I immediately contacted them, 7AM the next day was e-mailed by Mackenzie Kilgariff, the franchise owner. She said she would check with accounting department and get back to me. I explained I had another quote from them for a 2nd job I needed to schedule immediately (short move, $1600+) and needed resolution so I could book it. Contacted her again late that day. She said there was a discrepancy in the billing and offered a partial credit. I responded with full documentation, explained that I was owed the rest of the overcharge. What followed was a bunch of nonsense with no legally defensible information and a flat refusal to fully rectify the overcharge. I am now pursuing financial remedy and have filed a formal complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs. Let me try to save others from the same aggravation by explaining what I learned from my experience; 1) Despite the fact that we have a signed bill of lading agreeing on the final balance due, this business has demonstrated that they will ignore that and bill a customer whatever they want. In my case they continued to point to the clause in the T's and C's that says they bill you from the time their crew leaves their facility until the time they return to the facility (she stated to me they use GPS tracking). What this clause DOESN'T do is state that their trucks can go anywhere and do anything they want for however long they want and charge you for the time the truck is out of the facility. In my case we were charged for a large chunk of time after all the work was done and before the truck left the site. So what happened then? Did the movers go have lunch and just leave the truck sitting there while we're on the clock?? I have no idea as the company offered NO explanation for this.They simply kept repeating that we charge you from when the truck leaves until when it returns. Based on their response, I think a more accurate description of their terms should read something like this; "We will charge you based on when the truck leaves our facility and when it returns. We will not call you when it leaves or when it returns, we will just bill you as we please without providing you with any proof of what we say. You also have no control of what routes the truck takes, or how the drivers use their time. If they pull over and take 2 hours for dinner and charge you for that time and you question us about large time gaps, we are simply going to refer you back to our T's and C's, charge your card, and expect that you will not sue us. We are aware of the fact that the NJ Bill of Rights we provide you with states on page 3 that we MUST provide you with a bill of lading that 'WILL LIST ALL THE ACTUAL CHARGES YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE MOVER' and yet we will be willing to violate this rule, ignore the mutually signed bill of lading and charge you whatever we want". 2) If you read their terms you will see that they do not accept American Express. It is my opinion that this is deliberate. American Express is very thorough in their investigations of charge disputes and my personal experience is that they side with the customer more often than other cards that seem to favor the merchant regardless of the circumstances . It is my opinion this company knows it is easier to rip you off if you don't use American Express and so does not allow this. 3). Read all the negative reviews and you will see a pattern. We had a HORRIBLE experience with this office (Hamilton, NJ) of Two Men and a Truck. The POD that their moving crew packed was done so poorly, that my husband and I had to postpone our move to repack it ourselves. On top of that, when we immediately reached out to the office to tell them of the many issues we had, they were hardly apologetic, tried to blame it on us as customers, and offered us a *minor* discount (less than 10%) off of the incredibly large bill. We were extremely disappointed after reading all of the good reviews that our experience was so negative, and that even after submitting photographs, outlining the reasonable issues we had, and showing the damage to our furniture that the movers did, the head of the office didn't appear to care and then completely stopped responding to us. (On a side note, the card they gave us after the job was completed said "Please don't hesitate to contact our office with any comments or concerns. We are committed to exceeding your expectations." I hired Two Men and a Truck of Princeton after a strong recommendation from a trusted colleague after he had used another Two Men franchise. While they were not the cheapest quote I received, I hoped that a quality mover would help make the stressful experience of moving easier, despite the cost. Unfortunately, Two Men and a Truck Princeton has done nothing but make this the worst move of my life. Our movers were late, both on pick up and arrival, and managed to complain continuously about doing the job they were hired to do. When they delivered our belongings, it became apparent that they had caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to our things. Also, some of our electronics that were picked up by the movers were not delivered, for unclear reasons. We had purchased full valuation against loss and damage, and followed the explicit instructions provided to us, so we hoped that this would be a minor issue in an otherwise difficult process. However, there has been zero accountability, responsiveness, or professionalism on the part of the Princeton franchise, who have taken every chance to provide excuses for the damage and missing items. They have offered to cover less than 1/3 of the damages and losses they caused, despite us having purchased full valuation with them. Contacting the corporate office has been of no help. In the dozens of times I have called their office attempting to resolve these issues, I have been greeted by the recording "Thank you for calling Two Men and a Truck, the movers who care." They do not care at all about the customer, doing the right thing, or honest business practices. I have since discovered they have a Better Business Bureau rating of F, and they even offered me money to provide a 5 star review on their website's survey after the move was over. They will look for any excuse to try and prolong the move as much as possible since every minute from the moment the truck leaves the depot until they finish are all "billable hours". My experience was not good at all. The movers were rough with my furniture and caused damage to my headboard/footboard of my bed frame and my dresser. I also incurred damage to my new home - railing and balusters completely broken and several gouges to the drywall up the stairs and in the bedroom. I filed a claim and was told I would hear back in 48 hours. Never heard back, in which I had to contact them to have someone call from the claims department. Unfortunately, the damage caused BY THE MOVERS to my house required me to pay out a deductible of $250. I understood having to pay a deductible to the furniture, but not the damage to my home that they were 100% responsible for! TWO MEN AND A TRUCK moved us in Dec of 2020. We agreed to a set price. The movers showed up an hour late. My Wife asked for experienced movers. We got a lot of nice kids and one senior person. They took all day to wrap furniture and load the trucks. We moved less than 15 miles. ( NJ local) it was pretty much dark when we arrived at the new apartment. After being with these movers all day they tell us they have to leave with our property on their trucks due to DOT rules pertaining to drivers. They went back to their origination point and returned the next day. The people in the offices are nasty and unreasonable. We were told and had paperwork indicating that the move would cost us 2700 To 3000 Dollars. My wife gave a credit card for the retainer or down-payment. The move was completed the next day and we were told to sign the final invoice of 6000.00. We refused and told the manager that were being asked to pay double what was the agreed upon price. They went ahead and charged my wife's account without authorization for the final payment bringing the cost to a total of $6000.00. This is a terrible moving company. I would never recommend or use this company again. They are crooks and theives. I have friends who moved from one state to another and paid a lot less money using better and honest moving companies. I called and spoke to Susan, even though they were very busy, she was able to squeeze me in right away to move some very heavy pieces of furniture. the guys moved my furniture like it weighed nothing. they worked as a team and followed each others directions which was very important. By far the absolute WORST moving experience ever. DO NOT use this company!!! Although the movers were great guys and very helpful, the good experience ended with them. I had so many damaged and lost items...there was actually gray spray paint on my dining room table, there were deep gouges in my ping pong table, I had someone else's area rug and golf clubs...I could go on and on...). They have very creative accounting when it comes to mileage, and actually double charged for storage insurance. They were going to charge an entire month of storage for 14 days until until I SHOWED THEM their own contract. They "accidentally" charged my credit card $5000 instead of $500 for my deposit and they NEVER return phone calls. If that isn't enough of a warning to stay away then I don't know what is.... 4 months after my move I was still trying to find some kind of resolution. My experience was horrible and very stressful. When the 2 guys left they took my purse. An incident report was filed at the police department. Details will be sent directly to this location. They took $200 out of my purse. Never mind the the fact they didn't pack NOT ON BOX OR BAG~!!!! So how did my purse end up in a bag??? I told them my purse was missing right away. That being said they didn't complete our move. My husband had to rent a U-Haul the next day to finish our move. Both guys were trying to get the heck out of dodge. Stole $200, then hid my purse in a white trash bag, stuffed with baby pillows, where they took a small trash can, stuffed my purse inside, then rolled up 2 thick shower bathroom mats and shoved them on top of my purse, tied the bag back up and saw to it that was the first thing unloaded and up against the wall and unloaded the remaining boxes and items on the truck ALL placed in front of the white bag. Never mind the fact they didn't pack not one bag or box. These 2 young "BOYS" need to be arrested and or fired for theft and refunded for everything I had to have replaced, including the key fob to my car. Their website claims to aid the elderly, YESSS, if you called stealing from the elderly then Yes, they most definitely aided with that. The move was on a Friday and I was scheduled for a medical procedure on Monday. We live in PA, my procedure was done in MD. Point blank, the 2 "BOYS" were thieves. What happened to background checks, finger prints, etc. BTW I still have their fingerprints. I touched the bag as little as possible. When it's all said and done TWO MEN AND A TRUCK "OWE ME". By no means is this the end of the story. Per our Police Dept. This came up as Princeton, but it is actually "TWO MEN & A TRUCK IN MOORESTOWN, NJ"!!! The office staff is pretty awesome, & Robert strives to make things right. The movers worked very hard. That said, we had packed the majority of boxes at home & left the more difficult things to the experts. Many items were left unpacked till I walked thru & requested they be packed. We unpacked many items which broke in the process of moving. Many, many boxes will require moving by us, up & down the stairs, since they were often dropped wherever, despite all boxes being labeled w/a location. The screws to expensive dining rm table were lost; took several days to rectify the problem. Screws to a large table were left laying in garage. We are unable to secure mirror to my vanity, bcuz those screws were lost as well. Legs were removed off a lounge chair & left loose in garage. Boxes were dropped or thrown - even the ones labeled "fragile". A couple of movers were complaining about going up/down stairs "again". We still have many boxes to open & fear how many more things will be broken. While they were all nice guys, & they worked extremely hard, emphasis is not exactly in quality of work or care in the items entrusted to them. read more

CAUTION: If you use these movers, DO NOT say you were not WARNED!!! We contracted with Two Men and a Truck in the summer of 2018 to provide packing, storage, & moving services for a standard size house. It was estimated that moving would take 7.5 to 9.5 hours. The final moving took 20 hours. The moving bill exceeded the MAXIMUM estimate by 65% due to many factors: * On the first day (packing day), the packers ran out of materials and stated they were done. There was no attempt to get more supplies sent to the house and finish packing on that day as contracted. When asked about packing various items, their response was that anything already in a box, regardless of size, did not need to be packed. The loaders, on the next day, could handle those items. * On the next day, loading day, when the loaders arrived, they had to first finish packing. The loaders asked why various items were not packed in boxes; the same items the packers said did not need to be packed. The loaders stated that they were not "packers" but went ahead & ordered more packing material to finish packing. This lead to extra hours at a higher rate. * During the loading of items, a ceramic serving plate was shattered, among other things found later during unpacking. The loaders took pictures and documented the damage. To this day, a year later, we have not been reimbursed even after numerous requests. * Boxes were either unlabeled or labeled as "fragile", giving no indication as to where to put them in the new home. * On moving day, after a day in storage, when the unloaders went to unpack the truck, every box had to be opened to determine where they should be placed; again, leading to additional hours at a higher rate. * The manager showed up to review the status of the job after several hours & acknowledged the issues of the unmarked boxes. He saw first-hand how boxes had to be unloaded from the truck, staged in the garage, waiting to be reviewed by us, the owners, before the movers could take the boxes into the house. This was inefficient, causing the movers to idly stand around. * When it came time to reassemble the master bed, the movers did not have the pictures or instructions from the loaders who disassembled the bed the day before, & claimed not to know how to reassemble the bed. The owner had to put the bed together, while unloaders simply stood around idly, again, while "on the clock", watching as the bed was being put together by the owner, even though they were contracted to reassemble items that they disassembled. * Due to incompetent, untrained, or just lazy packers, small items were damaged, kitchen spices mixed with bathroom items, sugar dumped & spilled all over boxes, pasta spilled from unsealed boxes, and spilled liquid soap at the bottom of boxes, which had to be cleaned up before we could finish unpacking. * Storage totes were crushed and are now unusable. We are still missing many small items a year later. The vendor was contacted numerous times in an attempt to settle the matter. They were unwilling to negotiate or discount the rate. A 65% increase over the MAXIMUM estimate by a business is not a reasonable effort of service, especially considering the chaos and damage done across a large number of items as well as inefficiencies they "built in" from the packing, to the marking of boxes, to their internal lack of communication. If you're attached to your personal items, do yourself a favor: DO NOT hire this incompetent crew! CAUTION: If you decide to use these movers, DO NOT say you were not WARNED!!! read more

Scheduled service and gave a 800 deposit. Called with 11 days notice and asked to move date 1 week later and told I would lose half of deposit despite still using their company. Many phone calls and emails. They've dropped it now to 200 but damn I feel it's a slap to face. Especially since the website says a reputable mover will not penalize you for postponing move with a few days notice! Said I was going to report to BBB and they told me I couldn't. Turns out there's more than just my complaint. Had a legal representative call them and company states that I am threatening them. Just want what I paid for. Company is a disgrace! read more

I would use a different franchise. This one is very unsure as to their chain of command. I was bounced from Moorestown employees to Princeton employees only to be put back with the original manager 5 days later. There was a communication issue regarding the EXTRA valuation coverage and how to decline it. I was the client but for some reason they sent paperwork to my daughter who was just the day of move contact. I had discussed not wanting this coverage with their sales person and was never told they needed this in writing. I explained this to them and they said they recorded their calls and would "pull the tape" - sounded great. Now they are saying that they won't share that recording with me. Bottom line my daughter signed the paperwork ( she had no idea I has declined the coverage and I had no idea it had been included on the paperwork)...lesson learned. Best bet would be to use a different franchise, this office staff was unsure Of how to handle this and kept passing me off to various "managers". I believe this one might be affiliated with Princeton NJ because somehow that branch got involved too. I think they should have refunded the coverage premium. read more

I wish I could give zero stars! We heard great reviews about this company but the moorestown branch was awful. First, on the day of our move my husband witnessed outside of our apartment that the truck backed into someone else's car. The company's policy is to have someone guiding the driver which didn't occur. They didn't report that WE DID. Second, the driver was sick and spend a lot of time in our bathroom. We had already packed up all our soap and disinfectants so he was just getting germs everywhere potentially getting my 4 year old sick. Because of that, the day was a lot longer than it should have been. There were times my husband would go down to the truck and they weren't doing anything but listening to music. My husband, who has a bad back, starting taking things down himself! We did not spend all that money for this. Third, we get to our new home and they back into a sign on the corner of our yard. I had told them not to back in since it was awkward but to pull in. That also got a police report. Finally, the day was over. Me and my husband made a string of phone calls to the branch and Robert the manager has proven to not care about our situation. Some things were broken and he said he would send claims forms. Never did that. He also said we would get reimbursed 1 hour since the driver was sick. NEVER DID THAT. Me and my husband were looking for a partial refund because of the driver being sick among all the other stated issues our day was a lot longer than anticipated. We lived a standard 2 bedroom apartment and it was all packed ready to go. Our new home was 90 minutes away. Tell me why it took 8-9 hours!? Robert said "why do you want a refund it wasn't your car that was it." That's not the freaking point! Robert stopped responding to our phone calls so we called corporate and nothing happened there either. Come to find out on the police report the driver's license was suspended! Obviously this company doesn't care what these drivers do or make sure they are in good standing. It's clear that they do not want to take responsibility for this. Very disastrous move. Do not use this moving company unless you want to have the most miserable day of your life. We have have never seen so many purposeful errors. Late, 2 movers spent 20 minutes in our bathroom, extremely slow, damaged furniture, refused to give us our area rugs first forcing us to rearrange furniture late at night, we had to carry our own boxes and furniture off the truck due to slowness of movers, (Including my 72 year old mother) they dragged out move for hours. The movers never put labeled boxes in the correct rooms, dumped them wherever they wished. BUT last and not least: when they pulled out hours over their estimate because they carried one cushion at a time, one toddler chair at a time, they dumped remaining items in our garage which is still unusable 10 days after our move because we haven't had time to move the furniture and boxes out. Our garage is stacked with items which they did not have permission to put those items in the garage. Do not use the Moorestown company under any circumstance: they are scammers and just want your money, not real movers! read more
