I have never been so taken back by customer service, who insistently made me feel as if I should have known that the employees I spoke with were incorrect. George has repaired several pieces of jewelry for me as well as other family members. His work is top notch! Recently, I brought in sterling silver Tiffany's jewelry that is 20 years old and he cleaned all of the tarnish and polished them to look like new. A couple years ago, George helped me and my siblings design a pair of pearl earrings for our mother. George was very attentive to our requests and our mom loved the earrings. My husband has purchased my Christmas present here for the last 3 years, a tradition we will continue. George and Irma have been very helpful to him. One year George helped him to customize a pendant necklace for me. Another year I received a beautiful antique bracelet with amethyst. The most important, and difficult to evaluate, characteristic of a jeweler and jewelry store is trustworthiness. Over the years I have come to completely trust George and Irma at Evearts Jewelers. I brought an old ring of my mother's to George and asked him to use the stones and gold from the ring to create earrings. He examined the ring and told me the stones would probably cleave/shatter if removed from their settings, and recommended I NOT do it! He could have warned me, but then tried and charged me regardless of the outcome, but he didn't. I so appreciated his forthrightness that I have made Evearts the only jeweler I patronize. I have purchased beautiful heirloom jewelry from Evearts, bought George's beautiful custom designs, had earrings made, resized rings, and all work was well done and fairly priced. They sat us down and explained the different clarities, shapes, colors, and everything else that went into just the diamond itself. Once we decided on a preliminary design, I worked with them back and forth perfecting the idea. Never once did they try to upsell me on anything, they actually even came below the budget I had. They worked with me tirelessly designing a ring from the ground up until they created my fiancée's dream ring. Eveart's Jewelers was recommended to me by a dear friend (Shout out to Joe's Throwback barber shop for the tip, best barbershop in Philly!) and it was everything he said it would be and more. He took a look at the ring and told me he didn't believe the sapphire was real. I had my suspicions because I noticed a small scratch in it so I wasn't completely shocked but my fiancé definitely was. He had a few other jewelers take a look at it and they all agreed it was fake/glass. We had the rock tested to be sure, and of course, it was fake. Fast forward to a few months later (after everything got settled with the fake terrible jeweler), I asked Rob if he could source some sapphires to make us a new engagement ring. He was on it! Two days later he showed us about 10-12 sapphires and a couple days after that we went in to take a look, find a setting etc. The sapphires were all beautiful, we found the most lovely, unique, perfect setting and Rob was able to set the stone, engrave it, and add both of our birthstones in the inside of the ring (his idea and sweet touch) in literally 3 days. Communication was always super easy and quick (complete opposite of the fake jeweler).
