They have the bad kind of water and very little space for maneuvring, or learing how to spell maneuvring. It's great that a tiny town like Holley, though, has a store like this. Chain info: I come to Dol Gen every Saturday to get 5 dollars off 25 (or sometimes off 30), which allows me to stock up on water from Tennessee (which tastes much better than tap water or any other brand of water, to me), and to stock up on tons of cat food for my kids, too. However, some stores (such as this one) sell the wrong kind of water (from Pennsylvania instead), which tastes awful. I go to different Dollar Generals just to mix it up, and so I can put more of them on the Yelp review map, and because it's always useful to know which ones have the good waters vs the bad.

There's ample parking and this location is located in a large chain plaza on Jefferson road. The clothing looked less choice than at some of the other locations. Maybe my tastes have just changed but the items have certainly seemed to be aging up. Megan was busy restocking when I spoke with her and she put down what she was doing and helped my mother and I for a good 20 minutes. Megan pulled out various styles and sizes and asked questions to help us find what my mother needed. My mother had a stroke several years ago so with limited mobility and eyesight, it is not easy to shop for clothes. Megan was polite, patient and proactive in anticipating what we were trying achieve and to do it in a timely manner. After selecting three very comfortable and fashionable shorts, we move on to the checkout where Natalie was super helpful in getting me signed up for a Marshall's card and swiftly through the process. When I spoke with Megan and Natalie's manager Nani, to tell her about their kind service, I could see they were led by someone who models good customer service as she was very nice as well. Marshall's has always been a favorite of my mother's due to the value and prices. Today they get excellent marks for customer service!

One strange thing I noticed is that the carts are really low here. I am not tall, and the cart was so low it was awkward for me to push with my purse on my arm.

Fortunately, there's always a fixed value discount code available online but they're very smart at the spending criteria. Given the way their prices are, the discount is minimized, or I end up using it to wash the cost of a extra piece of clothing. Good thing I'm a fan of paying to play! From a teenager to now an adult (or I'd like to consider myself one), the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I've never had a bad shopping experience here.
