Lately, the dollar tree has diversified in what they are offering like over the counter medications and driving CVS out of business in some areas. My visit was a quick stop to pick up foil paper this time around. I was lucky and late at night with the store a few minutes away from closing. There was no one at the store and my visit was one off the quickest shopping experiences I have ever had. I just took a star out because the items in the store overwhelm me and the checkout process is usually slower. There are not a lot of employees working the register.

I'm a fan of this Marshall's; it's big, clean, and organized. It is very similar to the HomeGoods (which is owned by the same company) in the same plaza. I love their clearance racks which can be found at the end of the aisles. A great place to bargain shop. I've always loved TJ Maxx and Marshall's is essentially its sibling. The following types of products can be found at Marshall's; footwear, clothing, bath, bedding, home decor, furniture, beauty products, jewelry, housewares, toys, giftware, and per supplies. I loved their candles and random skincare, and soaps. The clothes were pretty decent if you dig around the racks. The employees were friendly. Overall, a fun place to shop and you can find some treasures; as their slogan says, "Your surprise is waiting and never boring, always surprising."

However, when I went to the register to make my purchase today a grouchy old lady with a huge stick up her a** had the nerve to tell my twin 9 year old sons to not touch the candy bags on display if they weren't going to buy them. I quickly wondered why she would ASSUME we weren't going to buy them and I asked her if she was in a bad mood. I followed up by saying that I've never heard that people can't look at candy bags or show their parents for possible purchase. She said that many customers won't buy an item if it has been touched. WOW! Is all I can say. The nerve. Everything is touched in their store! Candles are smelled, pillows are squeezed and the list goes on. This lady had some nerve and even the manager behind her told me it was fine if my kids picked up and looked at the candy bags. I mean what's the point of having tiny gum-ball machines right next to the register if NOT TO ENTICE children?!!!!! Anyhow, people are just rude and all I can say is that if you're damn near 80 years old and working at Marshall's just chill the F*ck out. You don't need to act like you own the store and try to make up these crazy rules to try and assert your non-existent power. Maybe CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU. If you do have grandkids I pray for them because you do not know how to talk to or treat children.

Curtains are a strange thing to buy. I'm still not really sure where to buy them, aside from Marshalls and Macy's, I guess. And of course, Joey's Shopping Spree. They have more curtains under one roof than I have ever seen in my life put together. You really have to look to find something good, but it's totally worth it. $25 for insulated and lined curtains for a slider... yeah I'm okay with that! If you're a college student or grad and don't have a ton of money for furnishings, this is the place to go. Do some digging and find some shopping gold!

On my most recent trip, I purchased the peach rings with tajin, mango chili taffy, fat free coffee flavoring, supplements, and home decor. I noticed that the aisles were really cramped especially walking through with a cart; it will not fit two carts so if there is another person in the aisle, there might be a cart accident lol. Cashiers has been pretty friendly so far. This is the closest HG to me so I'll be frequenting it.

I think my request was as basic as they come. What type of customer service is this? If you happen to go to Kohl's, currently all items with a yellow tag, are an additional 30% off.
