3rd Big Lots I've been to today and people, I FOUND MY BASKET!!! Online, it says they had 4 in stock and guess what?!? They have 5!! I cannot tell you how happy I am to find this $6 laundry basket. I do have to say this is the first Big Lots today where I was greeted when I walked in, that didn't happen at the other 2 I went to. When I checked out for whatever reason my phone number doesn't come up on my account so the employee asked if I wanted her to put it on my account so I don't have to give my email address every time. How convenient and nice is that?!? Neither of the previous Big Lots did that either. The store was clean, the basket was right with the other laundry baskets, I didn't have to search the store for it. I'm so dang happy I cannot even stand myself. All the miles and time I've spent hunting for this basket, I could have just ordered the 6 pack off Amazon for $40 lol But, thank you to this Big Lots store for actually having in stock what it says you do online. I've got to say over the years Big Lots has gotten a lot better on their products that they carry. Most seem to be more up to par vs very cheap looking. I do think most of their prices are very expensive for the store & product brand. I'd compare them to a Walmart & find that their prices are more than Walmart in most of their things. I saw a lot of expensive kitchen items when I was just in here along with beauty aids. They have some cute furniture but not sure how the quality of them is over time. Did read some bad reviews. If I can find some good prices on certain items that I want then I will buy them. They use to give a small discount for nurses but they don't do that anymore. It's so sad because everytime I come here to the store it is NEVER busy. It worries me that soon they will be going out of business due to not making enough money to stay open. read more

First time ever visiting Big Lots. I was in the complex and went to Ross and Marshall to see if I can find items for the kitchen. Both seemed limited and literally was driving out when I saw Big Lots and pulled in. This place is huge with all kinds of stuff and not empty shelves like the other two stores mentioned above. The prices here are about or even cheaper on non clothing items. And I found the items I needed for my kitchen without going further. I headed to the cashier and saw an advertisement for $10 off $40. It was $10 off $40 spent if you use PayPal or Venmo to pay. Jada was great and helped me scan the QR code. I had some issues with PayPal app and she tried too and it was the same issue. She suggested Venmo and it worked! It definitely took longer than we both wanted but she never rushed me or had me figure it out myself. I appreciate Jada for her patience. First time shopper here and with service like what I got from Jada today, I'll be back again and again. read more

This location for Big Lots rock! You've got Target as it's anchor and three other discount retailers all here at Lake Mead Crossings. A savvy shoppers dream! A big plus...how CLEAN, ORGANIZED and WELL STOCKED this store is! I walked into this store and it still has that "new store smell" if there's such a thing. I know some may scrunch and turn up their nose at the mention of shopping here, I admit I do sometimes! But if you are a bargain hunter then you know where to score quality home deco merchandise for cheaper than cheap! I've spotted many closeouts from major retailers here. (like Pier 1 Imports...shhh). This place has probably the largest square footage of BL's furniture department Ive seen. So if you're looking for furniture check here first. Ive been shopping all over the place so I recognize labels that major retailers carry, and wow they have it here at deep discounts. And did I mention everything is easy to find here..no packages look worn or torn up or out of place. The aisles felt crowded though..that's about it. They even have an electronics section with mini laptops and tablets that are super affordable $99!! ..I bought one for Mr. B for the heck of it and it works great! Staff was friendly and helpful. The store manager was on the floor helping us out with questions I had on electronics. Happy that I checked this place out and Mr. B is happy too, I saved him some money! Stars for good prices, good selection, happy staff and making this neat freak happy. Making this Big Lots store the one I'll shop at from now on. read more

I know things are generally cheaper here. I've learned some of the things behind that and it's kinda disappointing. So many of the food products are either already expired or to expire soon. Also the ICE water brand had all these nasty discolorations in the underside of the bottles. We bought an auntie Anne's pretzel mix that had what looked like and tasted like plastic chunks in the mix...luckily they refunded us on that one. The candy is probably the best thing to buy. Although I have purchased the black bean pasta and green lentil pastas which were higher protein and they did taste good. The furniture looks like it's already been used in someone's living room. It's a dollar store type of store so you can't expect much. read more

First off, this has nothing to do with the store itself. It is a regular large size Big Lots store so you will find what you usually get in every one. This is a review of the Latina cashier. Talk about poor poor a** customer service. I went to get a good deal on a certain item and while leaving the stuff in the cart to make things easier, she asks the normal question of do you have a loyalty card. I said no and put down cash on the counter to pay for my purchase. She asks if I want to apply for a credit card and since I am the type of person to not want to deal with that type of stuff, I just pointed to the money to be on my way. She continually asked if I wanted to apply for this credit card and I pointed to the laying cash and asked her Yes or No? Let's just say she would not quit and I put the items back and left the store with my money and no purchase. Went to another Big Lots and was able to buy what I needed without that issue. Dama, if a customer don't want to be solicited, give it up because you are not going to get them to apply and your day will be ruined because the customer is mad and you cost the company business. I will be emailing Corporate and letting them know about this too. read more

I usually don't mind coming here because it's slow and not many people are there. This time I was making a return. There was 1 person in front of me who just had a couple items to buy. I stood for at least 15 min while the cashier needed multiple overrides because the items she was buying weren't ringing up as the marked price. Each time a different supervisor would come for the override and they all seemed irritated about the inconvenience, mind you as I was standing in line looking around I saw no other customers in the store other than the man waiting behind me (who ran out of patience and left his stuff in the line and exited the store). I understand there's shelves to stock and I understand it's frustrating when you can't get your work done, but that's not a good reason have an attitude and poor Gary the cashier who was great. He has to deal with the phone ringing while checking out customers, customers with bad attitudes, as well as managers with bad attitudes. So when it was finally my turn Gary called for an override again but didn't need one he was just unsure of how to do the return (1 item w receipt). Too bad they don't just train him properly instead of expecting him to do things he doesn't know how to do, then getting attitude cuz he wasn't born with this knowledge. That's why the 1 star rating, cuz they treat the entry level employees like dirt, I suspect that store has high turnover. So even though I had my receipt, and was patient during the ridiculous wait time, the manager would only give me a card for store credit. Which is kind of annoying. I thought since I had the receipt I could get the money back on debit but I guess it had been over 30 days so policy is policy and I can deal with it, but I can't help but to point out that they had an opportunity to redeem themselves after waiting that long for someone in front of me to purchase a handful of items, by putting the money on my card like I was requesting, but it was very apparent that satisfying my customers was not there first priority. Even a "thank you for your patience", or "we're sorry for the wait" would have at least given the perception that my time is valuable to them. I wasn't getting paid a wage to stand in line because of the inadequately trained associate or because of the mispriced items on the sales floor, but they sure were getting paid to watch all this from a distance, and have the nerve to have an attitude. read more

Big Lots has big bargains. I've never really looked around in here, even though I've stopped by searching for one item or another before. After perusing the neighboring store with the big red bulls-eye that I always go to, Alicia R. and I walked over looking for one of those soft, cushiony kitchen rugs because the other place didn't have them. We found them, but also decided to check out what Big Lots has to offer, walking up and down most of the aisles. Although it's not as big as the bulls-eye stores, there's quite a selection of furniture, kitchen items, home decor, food items, cleaning supplies, etc. My laundry detergent is $1 cheaper here and I saw at least one dining table with pub chairs that I'd buy when I move. I also spied Guittard semi-sweet chocolate chips for $2.75 that I'd use for baking cookies as well as the biggest selection of Bob's Red Mill products I've ever seen. Plus, it's not busy; there were probably three other people when we were there at lunch time on a Monday. The bottom line is that I need to start shopping at Big Lots more often, especially with this location so close to work and another location right in my Summerlin 'hood. I've been looking for a fireplace tv stand for the longest time.I got an email from Big Lots and found the perfect one. I walked up to the side of the cashier cause they were real busy and advised them I wanted to purchase the item and that it's ok I will wait there where the item is cause they were very busy and I understand. Then another employee walked by so I mentioned to her the same thing. She quickly got on the phone and made a call. Minutes later the original cashier ( Cole) handle it all. He was pleasant and answered all my questions including delivery date which was two days later which I was impressed. Everything went so smooth. Purchased a large rug weeks before that too. They have good quality,very reasonable prices and excellent customer service. read more

A new Big Lots! Yeah! Huge fan of this place! From the outside it looks like you're going to walk into this Super Big Lots because it is so huge! It used to be a sports apparel and equipment store so there's a lot of room in here for Big Lots to be Big....Lots!!! I walked inside and was like whoa....this isn't as big as I was expecting it to be. It was laid out very spaciously, fitting everything you'd expect to find in a Big Lots store in this huge space. Why not take advantage of the square footage and make it a Super Big Lots? Perhaps they're waiting to see how successful this location will be? Anyway, what's not to like about Big Lots? Name brand items for generic prices. Winning! There were a few things I saw on the shelves here that I've never seen in any other Big Lots but overall, it was your typical Big Lots (Man I am saying Big Lots a lot!). Overall, I will come back often just to see what else they've done to the place. This store should be applauded in all categories. It is super clean, the employees are plentiful, knowledgeable and extremely friendly, and the shelves are beautifully stocked. On my latest visit, Kylie greeted me as I entered with the most genuine and welcoming smile/energy that I was taken aback and thought to myself how rare it is to have one's presence acknowledged in that fashion...what a nice way to start my shopping day! You see, Vegas is HOT and most young employees are miserable and just not thrilled to be working on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. I get it. I was once in her shoes, too. But not Kylie. This gal was a dynamo! I learned later when I was checking out with Kylie that she had just come back inside to her register after being outside in about 110 degrees racing around placing 20% off coupons on the windshields of cars so that they wouldn't miss out on the big Friends & Family sale the next weekend. I never would've guessed it. She was calm, happy and more than willing to help me with a customer service question. She called her manager, Natali, who immediately came to the register. Now, I'm thinking, I got lucky with the cashier ... but what's the manager going to be like? Well, Natali was WONDERFUL! She took her time and helped me with my furniture cushion dilemma, and I walked out of that store feeling most grateful and appreciative of their help. Natali and Kylie need to be recognized and rewarded by their company, Big Lots, for going above and beyond their work duties. As a former business owner, I understand the work force and I hope they are at least viewed, appreciated, if not promoted by upper/regional management as they truly are definite and rare assets to the Big Lots family. read more

In my quest to find the best deals in Christmas decorations, I popped into this location of Big Lots a number of times. Initially I was reluctant to visit Big Lots due to past experiences. In the past I have visited other locations that were messy and unorganized. Walking into this location I was pleasantly surprised. Every aisle that I browsed including the Christmas section was neatly organized, well stocked, and they had a lot of stuff! I browsed the Christmas section and picked up a number of items. I underestimated how much I needed, hence the multiple trips. I also browsed the other aisles and picked up a few other items. Everything was at a great price. The only down side was when it came to check out. A lot of people wanted to check out with their good deals so the line was long with only two cashiers working. read more

They are not as affordable as they used to be- however, they have Much better stuff to choose from. I like that they have Keto items I want.

I don't shop here often and I am a little bit ashamed to admit that it is a great place to go for stocking stuffers around Christmas time.... That being said, this location is awesome! It is a little bit further from my house than their old location, but it's not a big deal because this is a HUGE, shiny new location. Everything is organized and easy to find and there is tons of parking. It's a convenient stop if you are at Target or Petsmart. Now, these are not the highest quality goods, but the store serves it purpose. They have a large furniture section and you can even get small electronics for cheap. As I said at the beginning of this review, it's a great place for stocking stuffers. Especially for pets. I was able to buy my little furbaby tons of gifts - bones, toys, stuffed animals and treats at low prices. He tears up toys super quick, so he is only allowed to have them at his birthday and Christmas, and I sure don't want to spend a ton of money on something that is going to be shredded in 5 minutes! Basically, this is like the Costco of Big Lots and worth a look if you are in the area! read more

I'm giving this a 3 because the cashiers were very attentive and nice, but the manager, Greg, was useless. The young woman helping me at check out (forgot her name, sorry!) got no help at all from Greg to solve the problem she was having processing my personal check (I had two government IDs). The check machine kept saying "rejected" but I had over $1000. in my checking acct. The young woman tried it on 2 other machines, only to get the same result. I finally had to leave all my merchandise at the store and go get cash from the bank. I came back and paid with cash, but asked if I could get another 5% off for the inconvenience (I had already gotten a 10% military discount). Greg says, "I can't do that, I'd have to call my manager." By this time it was 7:00 pm. I looked him straight in the eye and said, "I find it REALLY hard to believe that." C'mon, 5%?! Really?! Guess they don't want to keep this customer happy. read more

The store is very neat and tidy, it was like a ghost town in there which was good for me because I don't like a swarm of folks around me when shopping. I really hope this store stays in business even though it's usually slow when I shop there. That's the good thing, as is the usually-well-stocked shelves. Whether it be a weekday, evening, or even Thanksgiving evening, there is parking and the lines at the registers aren't long. This place has some amazing employees! After receiving the worst customer service we have ever had at a different big lots, we were blessed to find this one. We came to buy a mattress and as soon as we went to the furniture department an employee asked if we needed help. It was so nice to hear those words after just being completely ignored at the big lots on warm springs. The employee went above and beyond our expectations! This was a great place to put a Big Lots. Like a mini department store. Sometimes the cashiers get overwhelmed but they keep up. Over Christmas they had a very nice selection of gift bags (instead of wrapping".) I'm usually in here twice a month. Good place to get greeting cards. I noticed that "Community Watch Groups" sit in the parking lot here. It's usually one person that's assigned to this location. People that participate with this sit all around the valley in lots waiting for instruction. At night they have their head lights on and engines running. read more

I've been to quite a few Big Lots in CA, NV, AZ, and NM and believe this one to be the best by far! The Henderson Lake Mead Crossing employees are amazing! You'd think you were in a high class place like Williams-Sonoma! This experience was with the guys in furniture: Richard and Nick. Came down to buying a living room sectional set from here or two other places in town. Chose here partly because of the service provided by Richard and Nick. They were fantastic!
