This place is easy to over priced. I feel like I got ripped off. I took my wedding dress here to get a bustle, alter the bottom because it was too long and to add small sleeves and I was charged $500 almost $600 dollars. I don't think it was worth that much. She also said it would be done by November but I called in December because I never got a call back and she said she will get it done next week! I am displeased with the lack of communication. I needed a dress today by 4:30pm and was told I would receive a call on Wednesday or Thursday. When Thursday afternoon came and I hadn't heard anything, I called and messaged and did not receive a response. I called again Friday morning and it rang and then I was sent to voicemail. So I show up in person and the shop is closed and there is a sign that they are closed until 3/2. I understand that things happen but the lack of communication is stressful. I've taken a few items in for alteration over time, and been extremely pleased on each occasion. While it's never been a wedding dress, I have brought in some nicer pieces of different fabric types (silk, cotton, linen, etc.) - and all items turned out fantastic. The service is fast and efficient, but doesn't sacrifice on quality. Pricing is also very affordable given the quality and care. WEDDING disaster. I've heard of horror stories but Marica seemed trustworthy. I needed someone close by so I decided to trust the reviews. I took her two wedding dresses and my moms. In total $$$ of alterations but I didn't mind as long as a good job was done. I took the dresses over two months before my wedding. As the date got closer I got nervous but she kept saying "don't worry" I picked up the first dress and my moms, they didn't seem right or fit right. I got really worried as the week I was set to leave, she still had my other dress. I finally picked it up and i lost it. It seemed like she stuck a thread and pulled the dress to "alter" I was devastated. I cried. Merica kept saying this is what we do what do you want me to do? I was mortified. If I knew what to do, I wouldn't have hired her. I was understanding and patient because she was sick and kept saying "don't worry" that she would deliver but she didn't. I was validated when I took the dresses somewhere else and they were flabbergasted at the work or lack of. My dresses were different- one with lace and one with beading. I don't know if it was lack of skill or cutting corners or she had an off day. Idk what happen but I was disappointed and hurt that she would confidently think she did a good job. Sorry, but avoid her. She's nice, but she ruined my experience and failed me. I think even if this was a style of alteration, she should have explained that the look of the dresses would change. If she didn't have the time, she should have been honest. I don't know what happen but I was heartbroken and left to scramble and find someone with days to spare. It was a nightmare. read more

I brought my mother in laws prom dress from about 1965 here to be altered to wear as a wedding dress for myself. The dress was a bit small in the back so the seamstress had to replace the zipper with a corset back. She was very nice and the original fitting was quick and easy. I was so surprised when I picked it up. It looked brand new!!! The corset was perfect. I was so happy I was able to wear it for our mini-wedding in the backyard. I am getting married within this year and I started the process in looking at different alterations places near me with astounding reviews. My mother-in-law spoke about Ten Bridal and how she really liked the friendly atmosphere as well as they did a great job hemming a few items that she owned and she mentioned that I should stop here first. Upon entering the place, it is a bit small but I was greeted from the get go while she was working with another bride on her dress. She let me know it would be a few minutes as I called earlier and changed the time last minute. Once she was done with her other bridal she came right over and assisted me with the dress and suggestions to the modification i though i would need. She was friendly and very kind and had very reasonable prices. I decided to wait a bit longer to get it altered as i wanted to lose a few more pounds, but in all. Merica was amazingly nice. She took me in last minute when I called to see if I could stop by since I was in the Henderson area. Her pricing is reasonable and she offered cleaning and steaming for my dress. I asked how much time she needed and she said about 2 months. How many fittings? She answered just once, because she is that good. Reading her reviews, I think she's got a point! Haha. Unfortunately though she is too far for me and I ended up finding someone much closer to home than she is. Sadly I can ONLY give 5 because Ten Bridal is worth double that! Our daughter was getting married & I had found a dress on Ig, alas it was a scam site...you know the type dresses that sell for thousands however you can order from China for $35.00..... Long story short I bought material in SF @ BRITEX fabrics (just a fabulous fabric selection found anywhere) with the help of the sales guy guessing at how many yards needed etc., spent just under $800 just on fabric....no pattern & didn't know who was gonna make it. COST was gonna be a huge factor also. I sew a bit & had a price in mind so lots of criteria would have to be sorted out. Contacted friends who I thought were talented enough, asked them what would be a reasonable fee? And they all confirmed my price goal was extremely fair although each had to many commitments for my time frame, I reached out on Yelp!, interviewed & met with 3 seamstress looked at their work, asked about the cost, finally decided on Ten Bridal, Marica was a PURE JOY to meet & work with!!! During this ur initial interview she mentioned she was the head of alterations for David's Bridal so she knows her craft, when I told her I didn't have a pattern?? I said "I could try to find something close then we could alter it," She said she didn't need one...YESSSS, I was a bit nervous and in hind site I shouldn't have been. She created the exact design perfectly we had 2/3 alteration appts, and the final product couldn't be ANY BETTER... I am a picky person re my clothing, and this is a special occasion where I will be on display for a lot of comments (hopefully all positive) will be tossed around.....I feel extremely confident & comfortable about my appearance in my custom design from Ten Bridal. Marcia is a gem! It's like having your clothes hemmed by your mom/aunt/grandmother. She was very nice and patient. I took in 3 items. A pair of pants, a faux leather skirt, a denim jumpsuit all in need to be taken in at the waist. The jumpsuit was two sizes too big so she practically reconstructed it for me for a perfect fit. This was my first alterations experience so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect, but Marica was so nice and comforting. So I dropped my wedding dress off on 8/5 to get a corset put in and it was ready within 1 week! When I went to go try it on it was perfect and another super nice lady assisted me with putting it on. Literally would give ten stars if I could because my dress now fits to perfection and is such a stress reliever knowing that it will work out perfectly for my wedding day! seriously can't thank you guys enough!!
