During my visit this morning (March 21), the self-checkout area was clearly backed up, with several people waiting in line. At the same time, there was only one traditional checkout lane open with a cashier. While there was an employee overseeing self-checkout and helping when issues came up, it didn't appear there was any effort to open an additional staffed lane as the line grew. This seems to be a recurring issue at this location. If staffing limits the number of cashier lanes that can be open, it may be worth expanding the number of self-checkout stations to better handle peak times. Otherwise, adding support at the front end when lines build would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I enjoy shopping here and will continue to come back, but I hope this is an area that can be improved.

I like to buy more timeless pieces so I don't mind paying extra for jeans that I keep for 15+ years or tops that last through the trends. I do enjoy their sales, when they have them. I recently bought my first piece of Tumi luggage from Halls, they honor the Tumi sales that are held online. The sales associate knew all about the luggage and helped me find the perfect piece. If they don't have something in your size at the store they are more than happy to ask their sales team to order it, they will call you when it arrives. They also offer alterations, these can be free depending on the work that needs to be done. They have make-up, a cafe, shoes, purses, luggage, women/men's clothing and junior styles. They could have also told me the shipping confirmation email would have worked. Instead they all refused to use critical thinking skills to try to help me make a return. Without packaging slip I should have been able to get store credit. They could have told me my confirmation shipping email would have worked as well. Instead the manager tells me in 20 days a new system update goes through and they will be able to issue refunds appropriately with today's technology. That is no hope to me because that's out of my return range from date of purchase. I combed through my house and only by the Grace of God found the packing slip.
