This place needs to be cleaner. Plus false advertisement with graphic sign in front of business. It states half price appetizer but owner/ manager stated only Mondays or Tuesdays. The sign did not state a specific day of week. I honestly felt taken and chose a different item. When I left I read the sign and it did not state is was only certain days. New place in the midtown neighborhood figured I give it a try and WOW. I got the prime rip dip sandwich and home made mashed potatoes as a side. The sandwich was excellent and I could tell all the ingredients were made fresh. The bread was out of the bakery fresh and the mushrooms/onions were hand cut not out of a can. The garlic mashed potatoes were REAL homemade mashed potatoes and the gravy was delicious. Refreshing to have food made fresh with good ingredients. Big m was something to look forward to on Friday night every week kinda made it part of our weekly routine to head there see other regulars and be around the bartenders who were very friendly and welcoming and very very hard working. My family enjoyed the service along with the food. But recently there was a change in management and the manager decided to let go of the same workers that everyone loved to visit on Fridays after a long work week so she could take the shifts for herself. Now it is the personality is cold and unwelcoming instead of being treated with a smile and great conversation. It's such a shame because sometimes that was the highlight of our weekend to head there Friday night. Now the bartender is very unfriendly doesn't engage in any playful banter like the previous bartender and us and the rest of the regulars are unfortunately all unhappy and will look else where. I have been here several times and finally decided to write a review. Especially after seeing several people w no real profile and only ONE review gave this place one star. Monday's is half off dine in pizza and I have tried multiple different specialty pizzas. I will say this about this pizza place compared to others...hands down the pepperoni here is the best. Thick cut pepperoni is really great. They give you a little cup of extra sauce on every pizza. The sauce is a bit sweeter which I don't mind and it def has a enjoyable flavor. Monday's the supreme pizza is the way to go. The margarita and chicken parm pizza are also great. I have YET to try the most amazing sounding burger.....The Clevelander. 2 patties and pierogi's and Swiss. I think kraut but not sure. Always next time and I'll be back for more. read more

I wanted to try out this local pizza place and give it a fair shake, but I was really disappointed. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think you should give it a try yourself. I will give it another one too. I'm also writing this honest review hoping it will help management make some changes/work out the kinks. First, prices are high for the size of the pizza. Not a huge deal if it's good though, right? If the pizza was premium (which I am hoping management will take more care in the making of the pizza) the price wouldn't be as much of an issue, but it's still high in general. So we ordered a large supreme. I had heard that Big M is known for the dipping sauce for their pizza and being a sauce lover, I asked if I should order an extra side. The person I spoke to said, no, one side is plenty for the amount of crust on the pizza. Okay then. When my husband went to pick up the pizza, he asked about the sauce and they said it was in the box. He said they were sort of snippy with him about it so he left, assuming it was there. I checked when he brought it to the car and it wasn't there. No biggie, I went back in and waited to ask for it only to get an exasperated waitress who yelled something at the kitchen and handed me two small sides of sauce. This sauce is not at all enough to even dip half of the total crust quantity. Also, the sauce was cold and looks like salsa? I'm left wondering if this is the sauce everyone is talking about? Anyway, the pizza was cold, super dry and the topping and cheese ratio is off for the size of the pizza. Sausage had no flavor. And then this cold salsa style sauce was just disgusting. For $18, it was a huge disappointment. I would really like to give this place another try and maybe will try for dine-in? Would also like to see the managers improve the carry-out experience. If they don't want to do carry-out, then don't do it. But when paying such high prices, they should be able to afford someone to manage those orders specifically. read more

Wanted to give this small local pizza shop a try, but unfortunately we were not impressed at all. The pizza was pricey, and honestly probably the worst-tasting pizza my husband and I have ever eaten. The pizza was dry, doughy and overloaded with oregano. Several of the pieces didn't even have sauce, just piles of spices and a little bit of cheese. Oh my god they give you sauce on the side!!!! I don't understand why people are freaking out cause they give you a small cup of crappy sauce on the side. I can mix Italian seasoning and sugar in a can of tomato sauce too. I really wanted this place to be good cause it would have been my family's summer hangout, but both kids and us adults thought it was some of the worst pizza we ever had. I heard that they said they perfected pizza at the mulberries downtown. Yeah it's perfect if pizza is supposed to taste like diarrhea. We LOVE Big M pizza! I highly recommend their supreme, cheesy bread, and chicken fingers. Also, if you're dairy free but craving pizza I HIGHLY recommend simply ordering a pizza without cheese. Their pizza crust is thick and well seasoned and their sauce is sweet and so delicious we usually ask for extra on the side! Their chicken fingers have a panko style breading. We wanted to try the new, local place and orders take out. The person who answered the phone was rude. I was told it would be a 45 min wait, I said that was fine. She seemed put off that she had to take my order. The pizza was ok, but not nearly enough toppings. The cheese pizza had way too many spices on it. My kids wouldn't eat it. The cheesy bread was good. The Big M salad was really small. It should be served in a smaller take out box and priced much lower. I did like the ssucmight order again toe, but it's spicy and not the same consistency as traditional sauce. Neither of my kids liked it. I might order again to try a sandwich. Gyro was just ok, and cold, definitely nothing special. Probably from Aldi. We couldn't figure if we liked the pizza due to the sweetness of the sauce. Other than the sauce the pizza was perfect. I've seen others mention this in their reviews. Maybe if they can offer another sauce option they will succeed. I got a larger size than I ordered, it was for 2 people, made it way too expensive. We love this place!! The food is delicious and service is always top notch. They renovated the building wonderfully from when it was the breakwall. It is very cozy and great for groups and families. I cannot wait for the summertime for the garage doors to be open and to sit outside. Some of my favorite things on the menu are the wings (all flavors), the cheesy bread, hummus plate, pizza, and chicken tenders (they are fresh and hand breaded in house). Finally the waitress came and my daughter asked if they ever turn the music down and the bitch waitress said "no actually it's gonna get louder bc this is all bar after 930, will be 21 and over and the kitchen will be closed." Had a bit of a mixup yesterday with our take-out order (we think someone grabbed our food and we got theirs) but all was well in the end and they even offered to deliver our food. The funny part was we rushed out with the one pizza we thought was right and they thought we had left cuz we were mad! We just wanted to get started on the one while it was hot! Then we realized that one wasn't right either so we called and they got everything ready for another trip. Sooo delicious and we knew it would be worth the wait - and it was!
