They offered a good selection of condiments including Sriracha Hot Sauce. Accessible for those with mobility issues (eg: wheelchair). Dogs were welcomed as long as they were not on the chair/bench. The restoration of the double-decker is truly impressive and ultra modernized. The entire bottom level houses a full kitchen with an ordering window. On the second level, you'll find a gorgeous dining room that seat sup to 20 people with contemporary furnishings- hardwood floors, floral arrangements, a hydraulic roof that raises, views of the mountains, and they even managed to fit a four person booth! The attention to detail is remarkable. They had me hooked when I saw they have prosecco on tap. Folks can choose from a grab and go menu, at the ordering window or they can enjoy a full service meal upstairs in the dining room. On our visit it was pouring rain, so the patio seating wasn't available while we were there for lunch. The lunch menu is a fixed menu that comes with your choice of a main course, side, and a small dessert for $30, $35 if you order a beer or glass of prosecco. The menu is small but it packs a punch. Our group of four basically ordered almost all the items on the menu and of course I got a taste of it all. I ordered the soup to start. It was carrot that day and it was delicious, but it could have been served warmer. For the main, I ordered the PD3 Bahn Mi-which is pork done three ways- it was layers of bacon, pate and mortadella. The ingredients were super fresh and the bread was delicious. Other orders at our table were the Burrata, Grilled Cheese and the Tuna Poke, so like I said, we ordered every entree on the menu. Our favorites were the Burrata and the Tuna Poke, but each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The sweet of the day was a cookie, but they had sold out so we got to enjoy cupcakes that they had baked for a catering order. This spot really elevates the culinary scene in Canmore. I hadn't been back in almost five years and seeing this addition to the local business community is really awesome. I highly recommend PD3. I'm looking forward to checking out the Yugo Eat food truck next time! PD3 basically offers three dining experiences on the property- There is another small truck that offers gourmet Asian style hot dogs, tacos from the ordering window of the double-decker, and the prix fixe menu on the top level of the double-decker.

I'm sorry that we stopped for a fry. The person working was clearly unorganized and not prepared…read morefor the business day. She was clearly preoccupied with a personal phone call. She took our order ,very simple , two poutines nothing fancy. She was out of other menu items (Monday opening) but had an excuse she had to go into Calgary to get them. Once the order was taken after a few minutes proceeded to tell us she was out of propane and had to go get another tank and install it. This was the beginning of the opening of the business, how could she not know. We were not in a big hurry so fair enough we would wait for out freshly made poutine. NOT!! The fries spelling correctly were at least a day old refried. I know this because one of my jobs was a fry truck attendant back in my early years. So my knowledge of a freshly cooked fries is fairly accurate. I beg and implore you as consumers of decent food keep driving. Save your hard earned money and spend it where the person serving is invested in her job and has a moral obligation to serve decent food. If you are the owner please revisit your work ethics and practices. If the owner reads this please take time coach and observe your staff she's not the one. This happened yesterday 100520 just after opening we might have been her first customers of the day. I know I could have returned the food too the window but I felt like her lack of care to prepare and present decent food would have been met with less then any concern for doing the right thing.

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5…read moreOverall experience: 3/5 (1- Terrible; 3- decent; 5- Fantastic) I've always wanted to try chicken and waffles, so I jumped at the opportunity when I saw Waffles & Chix at Calgary's Lilac Festival 2013. There was nothing memorable about the outside of the truck; white with red letters spelling out the name and concept of the truck, and a weird image of a chicken riding a 'waffle' skateboard. I managed to line up before a sudden rush; there was a bit of a wait (around 10 min to order and another 10 min for the food). The menu features: fried chicken and waffles ($9), a fried chicken poutine ($10), fried chicken & cheese waffle sandwich ($10), and sweet waffles for $5-$7. Note: Cash only. I ordered the southern fried chicken and waffle ($9), which for the price and portion is really decent compared to other Calgary food trucks. Definitely a carb overload and will put you in a food coma. Not the smartest idea on a hot day. Once I received my order, I was slightly disappointed to see that I did not get a fried chicken thigh or leg. Instead, I received two pieces of crispy chicken tenders. The chicken was a decent portion, but I almost ran out of it before I could finish the waffle. The dish could have had more gravy with a touch of hot sauce and I didn't like how the waffle became soggy from under the chicken and gravy. Overall, I wasn't blown away by the chicken and waffles. Although I love the concept, I wouldn't go back to try more.
