Wow, so happy we decided to have burgers and found this place. It was so delicious and the sweet potato fries were so crispy. I love the variations of burgers and how you can customize it. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There's not much sitting and there's a bar to hang out at. I definitely recommend this place.
The inside looks really small, but they have a little more seating in the back, so we were able to get seated immediately! My dad and I ordered the popular burgers - the stampeder and the Rocky Mountain. The stampeder was BIGGG, I could barely bite into it because of how stacked it was. The onion ring and tomato were sliding out with every bite haha. The burger is served with ranch on the side (yum, my fav), and I could tell they add dill to it. I upgraded to poutine, and that was the way to go. The gravy has a familiar taste, like one of the instant gravy mixes I've had in the past (good stuff). The cheese curds were great. Everything together was delicious. It was hot and pretty filling. The burgers were so juicy and flavorful. The bison tastes like a regular patty, but the elk does have a distinct flavor in comparison. My mom got sweet potato fries, and they were so thin and crispy!!! Service was phenomenal!!
After arriving in Banff later than expected and settling into our hotel, we hopped on the bus back into town in search of dinner. Thankfully, Eddie was open late--we got there around 9 PM, and it was still bright out thanks to the summer daylight! We were craving something hearty and comforting, and this place hit the spot. My husband customized a double mac burger with a side salad, I ordered the honey garlic chicken wings, and we shared a full side of poutine. Our waiter was fantastic, and the food came out fast. Everything was delicious and satisfying. Luckily, our hotel had a microwave because we definitely left with leftovers. The atmosphere was laid-back, like a casual sports bar. A great meal to end a long travel day.
Stopped by here late last night on our search for a burger after a long day at the National Park. We were seated quickly at the barstool and our order of a regular burger was taken quickly. Ambiance was a loud sports bar vibe, and sports highlights were playing on the TV right in front of us. There was very limited table seating, unless you wanted to sit outside but it was too cold. The food took a while to come out but service was friendly. The burger itself was tasty but too small for thr price in my opinion. The crinkle fries were decent but didn't taste fresh. Overall the meal was enjoyable but not the best burger or fries in the area.
We came for the poutine...and it was our first stop as we rolled into Banff. Located in the heart of Banff, we snagged two seats at the bar and ordered some beer while we waited for our poutine. The poutine is just as expected...hot, crisp fries, hot gravy, melting the white cheese curds. We fried pickles were not my favorite, but you can't say no to fried pickles. We shared The Eddie, a classic burger and enjoyed the onion rings. Definitely a fun place to visit for lunch or dinner!
They had gluten free buns and the fries were amazing! Service was fast and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.
Excellent burger made just right and that's what made this burger place outstanding. We had the Bison burger called the Stampeder and we love every bite of it. Poutine was okay, tbh I've had better poutines (not in Banff though). Onion rings were so good, they're crispy and went very well with the dipping sauce. As for the draft beer you can't go wrong with Original 16, my current favorite. Special thanks to Shawn our host who is so kind and constantly checking on us to make sure everything is well. Seatings are available inside and outside this place.
We were craving burgers and poutine and found this place walking by. We sat outside and enjoyed the scene. The burgers were good. I loved my bleu burger. It had a good kick with the jalapeños. I loved my sweet potato fries, so thin and crispy. I was okay on poutine. The gravy is good and not overly salty. The fries were thick and not crispy at all. Very limp and got soggy quick. I think if the fries were fried crispy, it would be way better. Our server was very nice, she was from New Zealand. Sorry we did not catch her name though. But everyone has been nice so far.
SO GOOD WE WENT TWICE. My husband and I loved this place!! The burgers were amazing (gotta get the bison) and the poutine was the best we had while in Banff. The service was great and we enjoyed all the bartenders and waiters both times we went. They were super informative about the area and genuinely appeared to enjoy the job. This is a great place to go if you're looking to watch sports while in Banff, especially American sports. We stopped in for lunch two different days just to watch March Madness.
5 Star Service - John was awesome and gave great recommendations on the menu as well as activities to do in the area. Wings and fries were delicious. The dry rub on the wings makes you not even need sauces. Small, cozy, and super cute restaurant + bar. Would be a great place to watch a game. Clean and efficient. Recycling on point! The staff seemed to work great as a team!
Tour guide had recommended visiting Eddie's for a bite when in Banff and glad he did! Patio was great. Service was great. So many burger options including bison and elk patties. The poutine fries side upgrade was amazing - tasted a bit lighter and portion size wasn't out of control which I think is great. I got the Rocky Mountain burger as my main with was an elk patty and highly recommend it. The rest of my friends all enjoyed their burgers too and we all got different items. Shared a pitcher of beer as a table!

We also tried the Trashcan drinks since they recommended them, but since we are not big fans of Red Bull, they weren't really our thing. Still, they were okay. Overall, a fun place with good food and a laid-back vibe. Would definitely come back for the burger and wings.
This was my first poutine experience and based on what I consumed it is not for me or Thai is not the place to experience it. It is a cute bar that seems like a really fun location in the evening and great for a drink. It could be good for other pub food options (burgers onion rings, fries) but experience wasn't ideal because of the poutine. It was extremely salty tasting. Go grab a beer here and chat with the friendly bar tenders.

I ordered their Elk burger with blueberry chutney. The meat was obviously gamey, but it paired very well with the chutney. Service was friendly and attentive since I sat at the bar. Banff as a city is crowded with tourists, so I recommend anticipating a waitlist and strolling around the city in the meantime. read more

After a long day of hiking, my friends and I stopped by Eddie Burger + Bar in downtown Banff for dinner, and it was exactly what we were looking for! There were four of us, and we waited about 10 minutes for a table, but you can also make a reservation ahead of time if you don't want to wait. Once seated, service was efficient and friendly. We all ordered burgers, and they were hearty and filling. I chose The Malibu, and the fried chicken cutlet was hot and crispy, with everything tasting fresh and made to order. Overall, this was a solid spot to refuel after hiking, and I'd happily return to this place when I visit Banff again! read more
Never thought I would enjoy an elk burger but this place nailed it! They are known for their bison burger and elk burger so I decided to try the elk burger with poutine on the side and it's amazing. Definitely recommend trying this burger spot here in DT Banff! Although it's a smaller restaurant in DT, so I recommend booking a table beforehand read more

Eddie Burger Bar is an awesome burger spot in downtown Banff. It's a little pricey but offers a wide assortment of burgers, drinks, and sides. The portions are decent yet flavorful enough to keep you satisfied after a long morning of hiking. I ordered the Rocky Mountain with poutine and really enjoyed the burger. They Rocky Mountain came with an Elk patty, blueberry chutney, cheddar, romaine lettuce, sautéed onion, mayo, and brioche bun. Elk is a dryer type of meat so blueberry chutney gave the burger just the right amount of sweetness and juiciness. The service was pretty good and I enjoyed the outdoor seating. You get to people watch and see a view of downtown Banff. read more

Amazing burgers. We all got the Eddie Classic which comes with fries. One person upgraded to the poutine and said it was delicious. I got the onion rings and they were very good. Service was great, our waitress was fun and efficient. Small place and we made reservations. We got milkshakes to go and they were amazing with lots of whipped cream and sprinkles. Highly recommend. read more
Small but delicious burger spot in Banff! Don't bring a big group here - there's not a lot of room. I sat by myself at the bar for lunch, it wasn't busy on a Monday afternoon! Definitely order a side of poutine, it was delicious! The burgers are really good too, this is a great spot to stop in while walking around the downtown area. read more

On our first visit to Banff, we had a tour guide who recommended Eddie Burger for the bison. Eddie Burger is a smaller, tight restaurant and bar, with plenty of screens showing a variety of sports, and really really great staff. We were lucky enough to find two seats at the bar and got awesome service. We ordered the bison burger with fried pickles and the elk burger with poutine fries. Oh. My Gosh. Everything was so good. Loved the bison burger more than the elk and the fried pickles were really incredible. We loved Eddie Burger so much... that we went back again two days later! This time, I ordered the chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed more than the elk I ordered on our first visit. Perfectly crispy and flavorful, and I added Eddie sauce. Recommend a reservation, just to be sure you have a spot... and ENJOY. read more

DUDE. One of the best hamburgers I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I freaking love hamburgers. But seriously, both hubs and I loved our burgers. I would eat there all the time if I lived in the area. Just go, try and you'll see how awesome they are. read more

There is a waitlist but when we walked in we were seated immediately on a Saturday at 1pm. Friendly staff. Lots of water refills. Super busy and cramped inside. Seated right next to the bathroom. Bathrooms are tight but clean. My Mountain burger was better than expected. Moist, blueberry was flavorful, bun was getting soggy with the blueberry right at the bottom being squished into the bun (see picture). Large meat patty. Friend tried it and said it was too gamey for him. Buttermilk burger was delicious 10/10 but a tad spicy. Sweet potato fries were worth the upgrade. My fries were blah - bland, not crispy, too fat, not to my liking. Friend said his poutine wasn't worth it as he didn't like the fries either. Quite pricey but expected for Banff food. Overall great burgers but skip the fries. read more

Located in the Banff Village, and is known for their burgers and milkshakes! I had to try the strawberry milkshake (5/5)! It was made with real strawberries and wasn't overly sweet, was a great touch to our burger meal. Double Mac (4/5) upgraded with a poutine! I loved everything about it, but it didn't have anything special that screamed out to me. The sauce was great and not over powering. Oh and did I mention how large it is? Could definitely split it for two! The poutine had a distinct tang to it, which definitely separated it from others I've tried. Maybe a zest of orange or lemon? It didn't ruin the poutine at all if that's what your wondering. This was a great recommendation from a friend and other locals, highly recommend it! read more

If your looking for good food, a great place to watch a hockey game, & an intimate setting, then this is the place to go! My sister & I visited Eddie's to watch the Leafs vs Flames game & grab a bite. We ordered Shafts on draft & we both ordered Eddie's Classic burgers & poutine! This burger, I kid you not, is THE best burger I've ever had in my entire life! It is amazingly cooked to perfection with the Eddie's signature sauce, cheddar cheese, pickles, & the softest most delicious burger bun ever! The poutine was out of this world amazing! I also offered an Aperol Spritz with pear cider & it was delicious! The owner grated us at the door & our waitress was very friendly! Such good people! A fantastic place with amazing food & good hockey, what's not to love! Enjoy! Cheers! read more

This spot came recommended so we had to try it out. Service was great. Food was good. Not an exceptional burger but it was really good. Pricey (~$65 for lunch), so I took off a star, but loved trying poutine for the first time. read more
We couldn't get into the Ramen place so ended up at Eddie. Loud music, as one would expect in a bar. Poutine was ok. The Rocky Mountain elk burger was not a good choice. I didn't like the texture or taste. The cheese was meh. The hellz honey wings were so so. Expensive for what it is. read more

I believe they are Aussies, and they tend and run a good bar with a great menu. I had the Red, White, and Blue burger with a Caffe Maple . It was a tasty burger, they offer Bison and Elk as well. It's a compact space but that just speaks to its well thought out design. Service was good. read more

Decided to visit Eddie burger while I was in town I'm Banff for a vacation. I heard on more than one occasion this place is great! Even the bartender had said there are super duper long wait times in the summer. Limited seating. But good for parties size 2-4 people. $$- about 18-30. $5-8 drinks. Food!! Tried the elk burger and the bison burger. The sides we got truffle fries, and sweet potato fries with Cajun mayo! Would definitely recommend what we ordered! If you're a fan of truffle fries go get it! Savoury and yummy all in one. Mmmmmm. I tended to like the bison burgers flavour more. But enjoyed the toppings of the elk burger. Would ask the server for recommendations or simply choose your own burger! Mmmmm. Would come back and tell others about this place. So good!!!!! read more
