They took our order at the counter and then totally forgot about us. Twenty minutes of History Channel later, we find out our order got lost in the reunion party they were hosting. They were quite insistent that we take our money back. But I was a bit reluctant (yes, I'm like that). So they offered us a plate of fried mushrooms which we accepted. Plain ol' button mushrooms taken from the freezer, dipped in batter and fried. We were done after just a handful. Ten minutes later, the pizza arrived. We used to stop by this place coming back from backpacking in the Cascades. Maybe it was having eaten only freeze dried food for 3 or more days but the pizza here was phenomenal. The place has undergone some management changes and the pizza is different now. The topping are fairly skimpy and the cheese doesn't taste right. Before the cheese was gooey and hung in strings from the pan all the way to your mouth. Now the cheese seems pasty and un-appetizing. The topping seem like they were taken from a National Hut chain instead of the quality ingredients that they used before. Plus this is a super backwards town with a population of 3200. Hwy 58 runs directly through Oakridge and the local police in this town are super excited to give out of towners tickets because they know they will never come back to contest them. So drive the speed limit, use your blinkers, and change lanes only when it is legal. But with all the negative, I probably will avoid this place in the future and take HWY 126 to avoid this town. The only good thing now is that they have a full bar in the back, but I wouldn't risk a drink with the Barney Fife's in this town. read more

I travel throughout Oregon on business doing around 3,500 road miles a month. The town near where I live is a logging town from its origins. This town put my little 'working man's' town to shame. Work pickup trucks are the predominant vehicle by a 3:1 margin. No suspenders, no respect. This pizza joint lived up to the hearty meal you'd expect in such a town. The filled parking lot was a good sign and my take-out pizza proof. The person who took my phone order was very nice and patient with my out of the ordinary order which was the Eagle Creek pizza minus mushrooms and plus salami and sausage. It's been awhile since I've been able to say about a pizza that 'it was fantastic.' Fresh toppings to include savory meats that didn't have that typical waxy, preservatives after taste common at many pizza places. Just wish I'd have included onions (my bad). If you're staying in town or just passing through, you'll get the perfect small town, home cooking meal you're craving from this place. read more

Well I've been here a few times since it was Timber Jim's, and i'd love to say that I love it.... but as Maury Povich use to say, "that's a lie". The place looks cool as ever, inside. I dig all the old photos of logging days gone by. The wood interior is my style, for sure. On this most recent visit I'd say that the service was as bland as dry taken noodles. But I'm not at all put out by that. What I'm reviewing is the consistently weak pizza. I give it four stars because despite my personal preferences... the pizza isn't all that bad and the service is hit/miss, like many other places. About the pizza though--it's very very underwhelming. If you want super thin pizza, with very scant toppings, and think you'd love to pay $25 for said pizza (a medium)... well then this may just be the place for you. I however will probably only eat here again if I'm 10 mins from dying, and in OROR doing some adventuring. Seriously though. This place left me and my girlfriend starving after downing this wimpy, thin crusted medium pizza. All the pizzas are way too thin on crust and toppings, in my experiences. Anyhow... If you are starving, this place will appease you. I encourage everyone to give them a try, if you feel the urge. But I also feel obligated to suggest that you get a quick bite anywhere else in OROR, and save your pizza cravings for Eugene. Stopped in after a track meet. Nice and clean, salads fresh and the pizza was delicious! We had the Saddle Blanket (BBQ Chicken) and Loggers Butte (all meat) both were perfectly cooked and quite tasty. Beautiful space with exposed live edge timbers and logging implements as decor. Don't even waste your time! We ordered two burgers to go. The bread was so stale it was ridiculous. The person making it could obviously feel it felt like a brick but was too lazy to grab fresh bread. I asked for extra extra jalapenos on one burger. I guess extra extra means 4 tiny ones? My burger was so freeze burnt that I thought it had bacon on it til I looked and realized it was freeze burnt meat and not bacon. The cook made the burgers then while they're finished sitting on the counter she decides to drop the fries and I guess because I asked if she was just now dropping our fries she decides to be even more trifling and put about 8 fries in each plate. I'm willing to pay $20 for two good burgers but they apparently don't know how to make good burgers. The only good thing I can say about the place was the girl taking the order. She was very nice. If you are in Oakridge, the choices are limited. This is a reasonable choice for pizza. If you can eat in, the pizza is good almost all of the time and they will fix it if they happen to get your order wrong. We eat here almost every time we are in town. If you have to take the pizza to go, it's not as good, but still it's the only pizza in town. Before COVID, it had a salad bar too. Not huge, but has everything I require and I always have it to go with my pizza. It's worth a stop. read more

So bad! Ive always said I've never had pizza I didn't like. I've had a LOT of pizza. This pizza I truly hated and hardly ate a piece. I think all the good reviews are from employees. We've had that suspicion at one other restaurant that got amazing reviews. Anyway, crust was disgusting- dry yet doughy. The sauce was awful tasting. Cheese was so thick and pepperoni was too thick as well. Super greasy and left a bad taste in your mouth. Did not seem like a very clean location either. We were bummed because there's just about no where to eat in Oakridge these days when we travel through. We are slowly checking them off the list one by one and never returning. Except of course for the Stewart's 58 diner that's rarely open when we drive through. read more

Wow. I read some of the negative reviews and thought people had to be over reacting.... they weren't. We called a pizza in on our way up from Eugene. I initially thought it was strange that no one asked for my name, but thought, maybe they file orders by phone number, off caller ID- no big deal. I show up to pick up our pizza and a girl with 3 teeth, after 5 minutes of waiting, asks me my name... I told her, along with my order, and she proceeded to tell me someone just left with that. I told her my husband and I drove up from Eugene and just got here, there was no one else that would have picked the pizza up for us. The girl actually said to me, "It was a guy that picked it up, I bet it was your husband"- and then proceeded to try to help the next person. Immediately after I told her MY HUSBAND AND I, as in BOTH OF US TOGETHER, had just arrived from Eugene. Don't waste your time here. Stewart's drive in to the west is 100x better. read more

I would not recommend this. I went last year with my daughter. Food was awful. The spaghetti for my daughter was so dry and seemed like leftovers. The cashier was very rude to me and made me feel unwanted. There was absolutely no reason for that to happen. If this place has better food preparation practices and customer service, I would reconsider my review. There were no servers at the time. Just very busy senior citizens trying to scramble around in the kitchen and pushing leftovers and mediocre food out. They need to care more about the customer's experience with food and atmosphere rather than just trying to get through another day and save a few bucks. We are residents of Oakridge..We ordered chicken. When hubby went to get the order he saw a cook rolling out pizza dough.He saw him blow his nose on a hanky n then did not wash his hands before handling dough again. This was disgusting.The whole restaurant is filthy.The dining room carpet is over 30 years old and disgustingly dirty. The tables are the same as 30 years ago. The chairs are ripped and tore. The restrooms are disgusting. The last health inspection was November 2014. It was quite low.I just wonder what the new health inspection would be. We've been sitting here for over an hour now. When we first came in, we had to change our order for some unexplained reason (no big deal, we can be flexible). Each empty table in the dining area was marked as "reserved," (although nobody seemed to show up) except for two, which had both not been bussed. We cleared our own table and set the dishes with the others to be bussed, and watch them sit there for at least 45 minutes. Flies began to buzz. Still waiting for our order of one pizza, but at least we have the ambience of crying babies (yes, plural) to help bide the time. Save yourself the trouble and just go to Lee's or the brew pub. We walked in at 10:50am and the sign clearly stated breakfast til 11:00. We stood there for awhile and finally asked if we should seat ourselves. We were told that if we wanted breakfast that we had to order at the counter and pay right the. Since breakfast was almost over. So we ordered and paid. Then we waited and waited and waited. People who came in after us got there food and we waited. Finally we were told that since we paid in advance our ticket had been misplaced by the bartender. After 40 minutes we got our breakfast and it was all cold except for the biscuits and gravy which showed up 10 minutes later . But pretty inexpensive which is a plus because nothing ticks me off more than paying too much for crap. Everything could use a pretty serious deep clean, like a typical diner. Food was SO SLOW but I think there was one gal working the grill... Our server was nice enough- the only server- but pretty slow to refill coffee even after asking. 10 minutes later I just ended up walking my cup up to the counter to ask her Again. But this is your only breakfast choice in this town! We actually ran by Lion Mountain Bakery after, to see they were closed from Christmas through, well, tomorrow. read more

Unfortunately I have to rate this place. I came for breakfast and was less than pleased from the get go. Stood by the door for a bit before one of the five people in the open kitchen even said a word to us. Then We find out it's seat yourself, hmm maybe a sign? Every table was sticky with grime so we settled ,Once seated I ordered an iced tea. The waitress brought me the dirty sugar caddy. Every single packed was hard as a rock, clearly it had gotten wet. After attempting to break them up, with no success,I went to the counter hoping they would have some better packets. I was informed those were in fact the best ones they had because the whole box had gotten wet at one point, hmm ORDER A NEW BOX OF SUGAR. If you're so cheap you can't replace a completely ruined box of sugar or a bag of sugar and have refillable shakers, CLOSE YOUR DOORS. After being told this I then ordered a hot cocoa instead of having tea, which was delicious. When our food came out almost a half hour later, granted the only family in the place had already been eating.... I was less than happy. My eggs we're far from over medium, they must have put them down at the same time as my hash browns. Once again if you can't cook an egg, SHUT YOUR DOORS. My toast was more like warmed bread. The chicken fried steak was okay but soggy not crisp on the outside. The jam caddy that was brought must have had 10 years worth of grime on it. Nothing in this place is clean. It would be nice to see this restaurant in a time when ANYONE CARED. employees standing around talking in the kitchen when they should be scrubbing that pig sty top to bottom. All the spider webs, hey maybe dust more than once a year. All in all. I hope the pizza is better than this failed attempt to do breakfast when you can't even cook an egg right.. sorry I'm also a restaurant person and I know some of the struggles, but get it together. Maybe take dirty dishes away from the table when you bring other things so they don't clutter it up. When you wipe a dirty table, make sure the crumbs don't fall on all the chairs people are about to sit on. Cause I watched it not get wiped off them. Come on. Let me know if you're hiring or re looking for an improvement consultation, cause I would turn it around night and day. Good luck. maybe I'll try the pizza next time I'm in town.
