**DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP** Had a coupon for an oil change when I left Big O Tires 2248 W Bell Rd Phoenix, AZ 85023 my check engine light and oil light came on took back to shop they drained oil and refilled & reset the indicator lights, however the same day the lights both check engine and oil light came back on refused to diagnosis or take responsibility said if I find out from another shop they did something wrong then they will make it right. Took vehicle to Brakes plus told them I just had an oil change and these lights are on can they give me a diagnosis which they charged $104.00 for they said the oil in the vehicle was so thick the oil pump could not pump oil they changed oil to the correct 5-20w but said the oil pump needs replaced and will cost $3000.00!!! Big o tire manager Chop Miller said sorry not their fault they put in correct oil and cannot explain why lights came on not their problem or fault. TOTALLY coincidental; Yeah right-LIARS. read more

I have been going to Big-O-Tires for the past 4 years at various locations and this one for the past year. I am honestly not seeing why everyone is so impressed this this location on Bell. I really like the Tempe location and find their mechanics to be better and more honest. 1st off, I have waited 24 hours from the time I asked the owner to call me before posting this. The owner has not called me back and probably has blown me off. I took my car in there Saturday afternoon for an oil change, fuel injector flush and power steering fluid flush. (Which who knows if I actually needed it anyway). After they finished my car, I drove 8 miles down the road, bought groceries and when I got back to my car it was running very rough, misfiring and barely getting any power. It was not drivable. I had to have it towed back to Big-O-Tires. Since they were not open Sunday I had to wait until Monday morning to get a response. They did thankfully start working on it right away and told me the technician had spilled power steering fluid on the engine which is why it was running so bad. 1st off, how does one do something like that? They aren't close together... I asked for a refund for the services, as their negligence had left me without a car for the weekend, cost me a tow, and inconvenienced my whole family who had to help me get to and from Big-O-Tires. The manager Ibraham said that he could not give me a refund and offered a free oil change---I have no intention of returning there as they have hurt my trust in them as mechanics, why would I want a free oil change? I asked to speak with his boss and Ibraham said he called him....24 hours later here I am with no response. read more

I bought 4 new truck tires from them. They incorrectly balanced them and had to take the truck back. When they rebalanced them they cross threaded and stripped one of the studs and lug nuts. They said they weren't responsible for their error because the paper you sign says so. That's total and complete bull. So they offered to fix their mistake for an extra $60. I complained so they said they'd lower it to $30. Complete insanity. They want me to pay for something they broke. I'll never go there again. They won't honor the warranty because he wants $105 for the estimate. I have two dangerous tires I'm driving on because they're upset I had my repairs done somewhere else. I'll admit that I hate anything to do with fixing cars. My used car I purchased about 6 months ago has had its fair share of tire problems. Having replaced three of the four tires (terrible I know) the last tire was unbalanced from the others causing my car to veer to the right. I tried a few times to take my car into a shop on the weekend but in my area the shops seemed to all be booked up or very expensive. I ended up on this side of town for the weekend and decided to give this shop a try. The employee we encountered was awesome. He was friendly, checked my car out right away, and gave us a price on what a new tire would cost quickly. It took less than five minutes to drop my car off and head run other errands. He told us the wait time on a Saturday would be about 30-45 minutes which was amazing to me. I showed up a few hours later to pick my car up and checkout was just as prompt as pickup. My car no longer veers to the right, I spent a small chunk of change ($64), and I plan to use this shop in the future because I enjoyed how friendly yet professional the environment is. Also if you choose to wait in the break room, it appears to have free coffee and a television, though everyone I saw was zoned out playing with their phones. read more

I received an oil change here about 2 months ago. I noticed last week a strange noise in my engine, as well as my oil light flashing while I drove. I stopped in at Goodyear down the road to get it looked at. They told me there was no oil in my vehicle because the drain plug was loose, and found oil to be leaking all over because of this. Something simple as ensuring the drain plug is on tight should not have been overlooked. This has caused permanent damage to the engine of my car (oil changed and still makes a rattling noice). I called and they offered to look at it, but the oil has already been refilled and cap screwed back on. Nothing was offered to help with the permanent damaged caused here. I will not be bringing my service here anymore, nor will any of my tribe. read more

I had a screw in my tire that kept my tire from holding any air in it but I realized it an hour before I needed to be at work so I called big o tire on bell and 23rd Ave and spoke with Kenny and told him my dilemma since I needed to be at work in an hour and he told me to bring it in and I'll be out in time ... Well I ended up arriving to big o with only 30 minutes to spare and I definitely did not expect it to be done in time to make it to work but Kenny had my car in and out in 20 minutes!! My only complaint (and it's not even that big of a complaint, because I'm realistic about how this stuff goes) is it takes longer than quoted, and most of the time I have to call to find out my truck is ready, because they are too busy to call me. It started well in the morning when brought in my wife CR-V . They got started on it. My wife told them the day before that she was experienced a drag motion on right rear. We thought it was something ribbing on tire. I spent all day watching TV on Hot Rods in the shop and talk other folks waiting for the car. It cost me over $500 but the wasn't fixed. I'm unhappy! now what? It's 2005 CR-V in fairly good shape runs great and we been happy in the past with their tires. read more

I had been coming to this location for years before Kelley owned it. Initially when Kelley bought the place and he was there on location it was good but once Kelley was no longer working on site there was nothing but problems with the quality of customer service and work done. When I had work done on my truck I would have to bring it back multiple times to have it fixed right. I bought new tires at the shop and there was a problem with a tire, and still is, and they would not replace it b/c they said they couldn't find it. I had new shocks placed on my truck and now I find out that the shocks are all bad with less than 5,000 miles on them. I kept telling Big O that the problem wasn't fixed and they kept telling me they couldn't find the problem, and that was after the shocks were replaced initially! How can you not find the problem and the truck is bouncing all over the place? I had a alignment done on my truck and when I picked up the truck they said that it was done as good as it could b/c they couldn't get it done right and I paid for it. How does that happen?? I have had no problems anywhere else I have gone. This is not the only problems I had with Big O at this location, but it was the last time I went there again. I don't trust them to do a good job anymore and Kelley stopped listening to what the guys were doing at that time and the problems. read more

I went here because my friend recommended the great service and "fair" pricing. I spent $400 for rear brakes (rotors and pads) after I was quoted $340 on the phone. He said it was because he forgot to list 1 of the rotors. I felt like I was overcharged for those as well. Had he told me $400 on the phone, I would have immediately declined because Brake Masters offered a much better deal. They also refused to take my 15% coupon because he said he had already discounted me $50. My coupon, though, would have gave me a bigger discount overall. The first person I spoke to said the guy who did it should have honored the price he quoted, which was on the invoice they gave me. He said he would give me an additional discount because of his mistake, but I still paid $400. I also kept my car there overnight after scheduling an appointment the previous day, which I also regret. I feel like the brake inspection should have been done as scheduled so that I could have been given a quote and backed out right then and there. First and last time. read more

Well I've taken my car here at least 3 times... each time there's always something that goes wrong. The first time they didn't rotate my tires with my oil change. The second time they gave me a price for a tire and when I went to pay they tried to charge me way more. Today... the third time I went in for a oil change and the guy Nate tried telling me that I have to get full synthetic. According to him any car from 2015 or newer has to have it. I then called my husband and he said that wasn't true. I went back to Nate and told him I wanted the regular oil change... the same kind they have done before. He got an attitude and was so rude about it. I guess he got mad that I caught him trying to up charge me. My husband then met me there and he went to check if they actually did a tire rotation this time. Haha I guess we were expecting too much. We went in to pay and asked them if they did the tire rotation even tho we already knew the answer. Nate said they did and when we told him we had just checked and they weren't. He pulled up papers saying that when tires are too damaged that they don't touch them and that we need 4 new tires. Big lie! We told him this would be the last time we brought it there and he laughed it off... took his sweet time getting our papers and still was very rude. We checked the tread on the tires after... put a quarter in it and the tread went above the president's head. Yep! We need new tires huh? Big no!! It's funny that they have a sign about trust in their lobby when all they do is lie. Never returning to this location! Save your time and money! I waited 20 minutes with no help and finally the Hertz lady behind me who was picking up got someone to come in and help. They bypassed me to help her (which they lost her keys to one car and didn't even perform the service on the car she did pick up). My coupon included a free 4 wheel tire rotation with oil change. That was not completed. I had a small bubble in my right rear tire before I went in and still on that tire when I left. It wasn't even recommended I replace the tire so my thinking is that they didn't even check them. How sad is it that a TIRE place didn't even check tires for a safety hazard and even to possibly sell tires. I wouldn't recommend going here at all. read more

This will be an interesting process to watch. For now, this Big O location (23rd Avenue and Bell) gets a Big ZERO. My girlfriend just purchased a new tire in February. This morning, I noticed a bulge on the wall of that same tire. She took it in to be checked out and was quickly dismissed. The shop is telling her it is her fault because she must have hit a pot hole or some other object that caused the defect. Really? You can tell that how? There is no scuff or other damage. She asked to speak to the manager, but the woman working the counter refused. I have my eye on you, Big ZERO. And, we've been in touch with Celeste at your corporate office. The first appointment I had, I arranged my day to go and get my vehicle repaired and they didn't even get the parts ordered. I did not even get an apology for wasting my day. I had to wait a few days and come back. I ordered factory parts and was told, that's what he ordered. Not true..... found out by another company, I got after market junk put on and paid twice as much as I should have. Liars! Purchased tires here a little over 2 years ago. Was told they came with 5 years of balancing and rotation. Took car this morning to have tires balanced and rotated and they told me they could only balance the two back tires and would put them in the front to stop the steering wheel from bouncing. They took the two out of balance tires and but them in the back without balancing them. Then tried to sell me new tires with a new 5 year warranty. Why would I give you more business when you don't stand up to your original sales pitch. Never going back to a Big O Tire again. Horrible customer service. read more

I have been going to this location for over a year. On my last oil change I was recommended purchasing new tires. I wanted to check my tire warranty and I still had 50k left on them. So I wanted to file a claim with the mfg and see if they would help me. I was told to go back to Big O and they would help me file a claim. I did and they REFUSED to help me. I explained that I had already spoken to the mfg and they approved it, just needed a dealer to help complete the claim. He said it wouldn't matter and I needed an alignment anyway. No matter what he was not going to call and see if I could be helped. The alignment was never mentioned earlier, why was I being informed now. Then he informed me that I hadn't been rotating my tires on a regular basis, which I ask for on each oil change. I left there drove down the street to Discount Tire and they helped me immediately. No problems and the mfg did honor the warranty. This Big O is clearly not trying to help customers read more

Brought my car to install new wheels, tires and tps sensors and get it aligned after leaving the car all day to get the job done I picked it up to find out the car was vibrating while driving, the computer was telling me the pressure on all tires was ZERO, and it kept pulling to one side. I brought it back to this location and waited about 3 more hours while they check it again, after that they told me that my car computer was bad and I need it to replace it (but my old wheels and tires were working fine)or the wheels sensors were bad but they were more than happy to sell them to me without guarantying me that they will work. I decided to leave after the manager James got a nasty attitude when I started to ask questions. I brought it to Community tire pros the following day to see what the problem was and this is what they find out. The car uses stagger tires, well big o mounted one wide tire in LF and one thin tire in RF, one thin tire in the RL and one wide tire in the RR. The tires that I got installed by big o are directional so community found one of the front tires was reversed. The wheel balancing that big o did, WRONG, WRONG, community had to balance each tire again. when they went to check the alignment they found out that all the factory bolts to the suspension were still paint sealed from the factory, meaning big o never aligned it but they sure charge me for it. About the bad computer and bad sensors??? well big o don't even know how to program the computer to the new sensors., sensors and computer were good and working fine since community programmed them. Community checks the car for dings and/or scratches, they find out that two of my NEW wheels were scratched, it happened when they balanced the tires, they used the wrong tools to do so, now I have two scratched wheels. I will not recommend this place not even to put air on your tires, I have never been in a tire place that don't even know how to mount a tire, program tire sensors and not even how to balance a tire. read more

I have been going to Kelly's Big O for about 15 years. I never used to have a problem. I would be in and out. But for the past year or two it has been nothing but problems for me. The guys that work there are complete idiots who can't do anything properly. I spoke with Kelly about 6 months ago and he tried to rectify the problem for me by giving me a free oil change and having my tires fixed again. But their new manager is incompetent also. They have a new rule apparently that it takes 45 minutes to change your oil. Are you kidding me I can do it myself in 10. I've bought several sets of tires in the past few years and have had nothing but problems from them. I saw we have to go in and pay $17 to get them changed out one at a time under my warranty that I paid for. The guys that try to rotate and balance your tires have no clue what they're doing. My tires have not been balanced right and years. I would love to stop going there but I have a warranty with my tires and other services that they have provided. No one really seems to care there anymore I'm not sure what is going on. Anyway all I can really tell you is that your customer service is no longer existing and I wouldn't trust the mechanics to do anything with my tires over again read more
