take five oil change 35th Ave & Bell Road Phoenix AZ
Mlou P.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR to Take 5 Oil Change on Bell Rd & 35th Ave in Savers Parking Lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REPEAT: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE! If I could give it -5 stars I would We pulled in for a basic oil change we left with every light and bell and whistle going off had it checked out they had punctured a sensor box. $200 later just insane. They didn't even offer to refund the oil change. Of course they denied any wrongdoing when we went over there two different times the staff was cursing Violet and actually vaping CBD and smoking it. You could smell it. The manager actually told me these guys are just now learning so we have to be more patience and understanding. I'm like seriously? I just want an oil change! I wouldn't go to any location. Places like these do hire people right out of school. nothing wrong with that, but then the company needs to stand behind the work and any mistakes that are made. They hid behind an email response, declining this to be repaired, even though we went through the proper channels and have the company file a complaint on our behalf to get things repaired We went through all the proper channels, and then some, including trying to contact the immediate owner, the district manager, the area manager and the CEO of the entire company to no avail. Tell everyone you know not to go to not only this location, but any other take five oil change company in Arizona or any state. You will regret it.

Car odometer after most recent oil change showing there to be 4,975 miles driven between oil changes.

If I could give negative stars to this location I absolutely would. I took my car to the 3501 W Bell rd location to get an oil change and went with DuraMAX Full Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil. I normally take my car to Valvoline or my dealership for my oil change but in a pinch decided to try take 5 and now regret that decision. I always purchase full synthetic and I always replace when I reach 5,000 miles and never had an issue with the color of the oil or level of oil that had been drained from my oil pan. No issue with oil leak and so on. I just went through another oil change as there was 4,975 miles driven since my last oil change that I thought I received from take 5. My mechanic brought to my attention that the oil was thick and black and only about 2 quarts came out when he drained it. My opinion "I dont believe I got what I paid for" and for that I am appalled at the incompetence of the people who you place your trust in hoping they will be doing the job right. Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this location and maybe steer clear of Take 5 completely. My money was not well spent at this location and I have learned my lesson and will not be scammed by these people ever again. Fool me once, shame on you..... I will not be fooled twice.

Absolutly love this place! Literally the only people I let work on my truck (yes my truck is my…read morebaby!). I am so grateful for everyone there, especially Nick! He always treats my "baby" like the princess she is and keeps me fully informed on all services as well as what maintenance and or repairs need to be done and when. Highly recommend Christian Brothers in general but THIS store especially!!!

Update: Their Front Desk Guy Hooked me on a $200 dollar UPsell on my Vintage PU Truck that I had…read morebrought in for 1(one) minor issue involving the PRNDL linkage. Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

When I picked up my car, the cruise control was no longer working. When I brought this to their attention, I was met with skepticism, as if my concern wasn't valid. That was frustrating, especially since I know my vehicle and how it was operating prior to service. They asked to keep the car for further inspection, which I agreed to. A couple of days later, they informed me the issue had been "fixed." However, when I asked what the problem was, I was told it was the cruise control switch. What raised serious concerns for me was what came next. When I asked for documentation or a repair record, I was told there was none--because the mechanic had paid for the part out of his own pocket. That explanation simply does not sit right. If a repair was performed, there should always be documentation--regardless of who paid for the part. Transparency is basic professionalism. The lack of paperwork, combined with the fact that the system was working before my visit, strongly suggests something happened while the vehicle was in their care. More disappointing than anything was that no one took responsibility, and no apology was offered. Mistakes can happen in any shop--but honesty and accountability matter. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

I came across an online coupon for 25 % off any oil change service so I thought I would give Take 5…read morea try. When I pulled up to Take 5 I accessed the coupon on my phone and followed the instructions to enter my email address for marketing purposes. When I entered my email the coupon closed and I couldn't access it any longer. I went online and found a $ 7.oo dollar off coupon to use. I pulled up to one of the 2 entries to empty bays while the third bay was occupied. I was greeted after a couple of minutes by a young man who explained that it would be just a few minutes and they would be with me. Eventually I was directed to pull my vehicle into the service bay and again told that it would be a few minutes while they finished up the 1 customer they had When I arrived. Finally someone came to explain the services to me and take my information. In my photos I included the price offerings for oil change services which I had questions about. I was told that for the less expensive synthetic oil change options they used a rebrand oil under their brand but it was Castor oil which is considered a mid- top quality oil. The highest price oil change option is Mobil One synthetic, which should tell you how much better Mobil One oil is considered to be. I settled for the full synthetic change ( $ 84.99 ) with the rebranded synthetic oil. They checked my air filter and other essential fluids and everything was good because I check them myself regularly. My oil change was done and it was time to check out. I brought up the problem with the 25 % coupon disappearing after I entered my email and the attendant indicated that the marketing people were aware of the problem and were working on it. He didn't offer to honor the better coupon but did accept my smaller coupon. From the time I pulled up to the time I pulled out was more like 15 to 20 minutes. There were 2 attendants and both were very personable. The prices are high and if you search online you can find local oil change specials at a better price. The service was good and I was treated like a valued customer. I can't justify them not honoring the 25 % off coupon which was the motivation for me trying Take 5 in the first place. I feel that if they are aware of the problem they should honor the coupon the customer tried to use. I will stick to finding local oil change specials as I have in the past and Take 5 won't get my or my families business going forward.
