Don't do it. Just go someplace else. Unfortunately I allowed my vehicle to be serviced by this establishment twice. The 1st visit should have done it for me (extremely dangerous & scary repair fail) with no real explanation and a "these things happen." I think these people are shady. I don't think they are skilled by any means (possibly to fill air in tires or change out wiper blades), but they are not thorough and don't pay attention to the details and thier sloppy appearance inside the repair area is off putting. More importantly in both instances my car was worse off after leaving them. Good luck if you choose them but I highly recommend you steer clear. read more

A replacement muffler and catalytic converter was to be installed. After picking the vehicle up, and getting at home. Looking at the work done there was no catalytic converter and had to make another appointment to have one installed. Then, after the catalytic converter was installed, my sister who is the owner of the vehicle. Got extremely sick due to an exhaust leak because of the very pathetic welds on the exhaust that they put the new catalytic converter on. Keep in mind and O2 sensor was supposed to be installed too and new gaskets from the intake manifold to the engine They charged her $510.41 She had to make two trips down there, and her second time back where the Exaust leak made her extremely sick. Has yet to be determined whether they gonna do the right thing and fix it the way it's supposed to be fixed. The Owner Tony. D'Andrea has been contacted and left a message on his answering service and have not heard anything back as of yet if they want to make things right and finish up the very amateur welding jobs that they done. Along with the O2 sensor that was not replaced. The first estimate was supposed to be $300.00 Then she went back the estimate jumped to $510.41 and they didn't bother putting the catalytic converter in the first time around as mentioned above. I understand that Tony is the owner, but perhaps he should hire Help that has an IQ higher than their shoe size? read more

The brakes on my '15 Accord have been screeching for 9+ months. Surprise Honda checked them out and said it was just dust on the pads. They work great otherwise, the sound is just driving me crazy! Since we're selling the car in a couple months, I wanted to make sure they're safe and the sound is (hopefully) gone when the time comes. Knowing Midas does a free inspection, I called to make an appointment. I spoke with Misty who was happy to schedule me and said I could work remote while I waited. She greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello when I arrived. She immediately wrote down the WIFI password without a single request from me. That was really appreciated! Pauley came out to greet me and said he would take a good look at my brakes. He told me my options based on what he found and said for about $50 he could remove the sound and get me on my way. Once they were off he came to show me what he was dealing with. Turns out there truly isn't an issue other than "pitting" and dust on my brakes. He offered to clean them up and took a layer off in hopes of getting rid of the horrible sound. He said they were in great shape and agreed with the dealer on his finding. I asked how much I owed (assuming I would have to pay the $50 for his time/work) but he said "absolutely nothing" since the job was so easy. I was in and out in about 45 minutes and WILL be returning for future service. He also said they price match for oil changes and use the same products as other shops so that's something to keep in mind. read more

Tony and his team are very honest and professional and I highly recommend them I have been driving for 70 years bought my first car when I was 14 a 1941 Buick for $100 and drove it for 6 years and have had many cars since. I needed brakes on my Lexus and Tony got right on it saving me about 1/2 of what the Lexus dealer wanted. Is still are there such things as an honest mechanic? or the customer is always, right? Well, there still are those such things here at Midas. I made an oil change appointment for my daughter's 2002 Bettle. After a week of the service, I opened the hood to check the antifreeze level. I was in shock when I saw the cover of her engine wasn't there, I called my teenage daughter and of course, she didn't have any idea about that. I called Midas, Tony answered the phone, he said I will check and give you a call in 15'. After an hour I called back again this time a woman answered and said the same thing, and no one called back. I thought oh man probably lost. I planned to go on Tuesday since that was the day I could get off early from work. While I was driving I was thinking this is going to be a dog fight like there was no cover in the engine, yes there was a cover, no there wasn't etc. I was like maybe next time I have to take pictures of everything to probe what I have and don't have. I don't like to argue but it wasn't fair. When I got to the front desk Tony was there. I introduced myself as the dad of the teenage daughter whose engine cover was missing. When Tony started talking I was like here we go, he said - We looked and looked and couldn't find it, but we already order another one. I was speechless. I've went to this place originally to get my brakes done since I've used midas in the past and have the lifetime brakes, worst decision ever! While there I asked the owner Tony about getting my ac repaired, he said they can fix it. I had them look at it to tell me what was wrong and he said it would be around $140 to get the ac fixed, the ac worked for about a month! After taking my car to this place 3 or 4 times and then trying to charge me for something new each time, I just parked the car and let it sit. Eventually I ended taking the car to the midas in Peoria, the ran the tests on the ac and showed me exactly where it was leaking from! The funny thing is the leak was at the very top of the engine, in plain site when you open the hood. The Peoria midas fixed the ac free of charge because of what this midas didn't do. Now about the brakes, while driving if I hit the brakes (I know, crazy idea to use your brakes while driving) the steering wheel would shake violently. This is after Tony and his con men "repaired" the brakes! The midas in Peoria took my tire off and I could see as clear as day a spot on the rotor that was darker than the rest of the rotor, he explained it was a high spot and that's what was causing the shaking. Since I paid Tony and his henchmen to fix my brakes (they should be able to at least do brakes, right?) and the receipt clearly shows I was charged for "turning the rotors" I didn't expect for them to not even repair the brakes either! After spending a few hundred dollars and time wasted, they did nothing to fix my car! They even tried to change the labor fee to make me pay for bringing my car back to fix what should've been done the very first time I took my car to this place! They only took my money, they didn't do any actual work to fix any of the issues that they were paid to fix! I will be contacting the corporate office next... read more

Our first visit to this location was awful ! Our GPS unit was removed from the center console while the vehicle was there for a simple oil change. I filed a complaint and reported the incident to the police. The manager "Shane" said a claim was submitted to the insurance to replace the GPS. I called several times to get the status. Its 4 months later. Now they are saying Midas will not take responsibility for the theft. If you have had a similar experience, please report it to your local authority. This has to stop !! Every year mftrs make auto changes so to keep abreast, Tony has kept himself updated, too. The degrees, certificates and plaques on the side wall of the shop are all testament to the degree of excellence exhibited and carried out. My car has always received outstanding care and attention, from his 83rd Ave site nr Union Hills to the Sun City location. Once when it became necessary to leave my car over night for necessary work to be completed, Tony had someone drive me home, then pick me up the next morning for a return trip to the shop! I've been using this Midas shop for over 3 years without a problem. They always been up front with me explaining whats wrong and fixing whatever problem quickly and reliably. Over the summer I had my car towed to the shop with engine problems. It took them four days to diagnose, and told me I needed new spark plugs. They had my car for 5 days just to replace the plugs and get my the engine codes to clear so my check engine light would stay off. Easy fix I thought. Two days after the fix the car was still having issues, so I replaced the coil packs and plug wires myself. This seemed to fixed my problem with only an occasional engine hiccup which I was comfortable with owning a high mileage older vehicle. I brought my car in for emission testing and it showed an engine code failure. The technician thought it was strange since my check engine light wasn't on so he ran the test again and told me that the bulb was probably burned out. Once again older car, I can see that happening. Decided to bring my car to another shop on recommendation to fix the problem, and upon removing the instrument cluster to change the engine light bulb, THERE WAS NO BULB. The Tech at Midas REMOVED the check engine light bulb so I it would seem like my car was fixed. They just lost all my business. Sorry Tony. read more

When I moved here from North Dakota, I was pretty spoiled - I lived in the same town as my brother, the mechanic. In Arizona, I was just not sure who to trust. After being scammed by several dealerships, I decided to try this Midas on my way to work. They could not be more fantastic. They've always taken really good care of me. Two examples: This summer I needed new tires. I stopped in, discussed the prices with Shane, and he steered me toward one brand that is less expensive but just as good as the tires I had picked out. I made an appointment for the following week, but when his supplier didn't have the tires we decided on in stock, he upgraded me to the more expensive version for the original price. Another time, my brakes started grinding. I stopped in, and while he was driving me to my office (another nice perk), Shane said "wait, weren't you just in for an oil change a month ago?" Me, "Yes"... Shane: "Well, we do a brake inspection at every oil change, so we should have caught that. We're going to charge you for the plain old brake job, but anything extra, we'll cover." They paid for the new rotors, and all the stuff that comes with it. When I called my brother to tell him what had happened, he was stunned. My shop would never do that, he said. To sum it up, I'd recommend these guys to you, your mama, and your grandmama. A bunch of good guys doing the right thing. They're on my Christmas cake list. read more

I have taken my car here a few times for routine things and been very happy. Last week my car started over heating so I stopped in here (Wed) in a panic! It was later in the day so I just assumed they wouldn't be able to look at it until the following morning. Within about 30 minutes they were able to tell me what was wrong with it. Unfortunately it needed a fairly expensive Kia (hybrid) part that had to be ordered, then Kia called back and said it was on back order. Ugh! Oh well, what can you do? Anyway they said the part would be in Sat at the earliest, more likely Mon. I got a call on Fri saying the part came in early and it would be done Sat. They called me Sat AM saying it would be ready by noon and it was! I was able to turn in the rental car I had 2-3 days early! Amazing! These guys are great! Honest! No upselling! read more

Absolutely phenomenal! Best car service I've ever had. Honest mechanics with good & honest prices. Repairs have warranties with warranted parts. Tony the store's general manager has inspected and worked on a number of my cars over the years. Him and his team have always done amazing work. I went there recently with my 2010 Nissan Altima hybrid & they replaced the gasket seals, the oil cooler, & repaired a front exhaust leak. My car was running excellent afterwards. They even went above and beyond and installed new wiper blades I bought free of charge that were in my trunk. They checked my spark plugs, my fluid levels, and made sure my car was running well before handing me the keys back. They even informed me I may need a couple more repairs. Yet, instead of lying like most mechanics do then telling me I needed to fix them immediately they were very very honest and informed me that the other needed repairs were not at all urgent and could wait a year or two. They told me it would not be detrimental to my vehicle & it wasn't something I needed to worry about anytime soon. These are not your typical mechanics! They take pride in being honest and helping people get back on the road safely! Excellent excellent service. Five stars if I could give a ten I would give a ten. Also the front desk assistant is very educated about cars and their functions. Any questions you have about your repair she will answer and if she doesn't know the answer she find accurate information and explain it well! Sometimes they are booked and can't get you in same day! When I took my truck to Midas Tony listen to my problem and reissued me that he would check everything out. Tony informed me on each step of the way. Tony took the initiative to double check his work and he explained to me what needed to be repaired and the cost. The work was completed as he promised. Tony and his staff are very friendly and professional. They all made me feel as part of the staff. Highly recommend Midas for all Auto repair. I will be taking my wife car there for her repairs.
