He asked if I wanted him to fix it after showing me how simple of a fix it was (99 cavalier 2.2 non eco-tec engine, plugs and wires are right on the front. Super easy DIY change) I said nah, I'll do it but offered to pay him for pointing me in the right direction. He refused to accept payment just because he looked at it for a couple minutes and told me what to do. That's true class right there. I wish more businesses had that level of ethnic principle about them. I reached out to them today (12/12/2022) about an issue with a different car, but they told me they are no longer in the mechanic business and only do towing. Sad times for an upstanding level of service. If they ever check out these reviews, I just want to say a thank you from myself (and others who might not have told them) about how awesome their mechanic service was.

He's the kind of guy who will offer you advice on your car as you pull up, just by listening to the sounds it makes. He'll be right, too. And he's honest. I've seen him -- not heard about, but SEEN him -- send back parts which proved unnecessary. A truck driver told him to "just do it, ain't my money," and he replied "We don't need it. If I send it back, ain't NOBODY got to pay for that, or the service." I already used his services regularly. I won't let anyone else work on my vehicles if I can avoid it. But his actions that day, not to impress anyone, just business as usual -- that stuck with me. I've always considered his work exemplary and his prices outstanding. When he tells me the cost of something, I believe him. My first experience with his service was as skeptical as my experiences anywhere else, and when the cost was much less, I was worried about the service. But the truck that first time just kept on running, and kept on. So... as my own tractor saga went, desperate to get it up and running while failing on all fronts, I gave him a call just in case. He laughed and said "Naw, buddy, we don't really work on tractors." There was a pause, and then he said "What's wrong with it?" I told him, and he said "Call me back Friday. We're backed up right now, but I can make arrangements to come pick it up on Saturday, and take a look at her." That just doesn't happen much, and it's why I never pass up a chance to brag on him, encourage others to give him business. I believe in rewarding good service with good word-of-mouth and recommendations. If you live in or near Corydon and you need automotive work done (repair), I could not recommend this guy any more highly. He'll have my business for as long as he's IN business, or until I'm dead, whichever ends first.

Long story short we had a vehicle off with transmission issue. Was told it would be a 'few days' before a technician could look at it since we didn't have an appointment. After a week I hadn't heard anything so I checked in. Was told two cars ahead of our and it would be a 'couple days'. Another week went by and hadn't heard anything so I had to reach out again. Was told one vehicle ahead and would only be a couple more days.... Following week, same thing. Over 4 weeks finally get diagnosed and told parts would take a week. After a week of not hearing anything I reached out again asking for an update to be told it was installed but now has to go John Jones to be programmed and that would take a week... the next week after not hearing anything I reached out again to be told that there was a problem with the transmission they put in and they would have to send to John Jones to fix under warranty. You get the frustration. On top of the lack of communication and me having to pull information from them, I was quoted different prices from what I was actually charged and they nickle and dime charges for sure. So when it was finally ready after 7 weeks I took my concerns to service manager who was no help and offered no sincere concern and even admitted that his tech shouldn't have taken the job and they he would be talking to him about it. He also said he would talk to the service coordinator about his lack of communication and not accurately estimating how long it would take. His solution was that I should have asked them to use on of their rental cars but that since I didn't he couldn't do anything. I told him the service person knew I had a rental and that's why I was upset waiting and waiting.. thought I'd get a better response from Heritage General Manager but all he did was make excuses and had more questions about me and my customer service experience... just a giant waste of time and money and severe lack of customer service by management for sure!!

I have come here for the last few years but now only to the ford service dept not quicklane Here is the list, 1. Toyota Highlander had oil change before we went on vacation, the check engine light came on causing us to stop and get it diagnosed and pay 75 dollars to get the air filter sensor plugged back in after 90 miles or so. 2. F250 had oil change, Air filter was jammed back together bending alignment tabs out of way, I found this because I have a K&N washable air filter in it, I fixed that myself. Although there is still minor damage to the air filter housing. drain plug was damaged from over torque 3. F150 had oil change and had to bring it back because the oil pan guard was hanging down, and had not been tightened up correctly 4. F350 brought into have front end alignment, all lugs were loose on right front wheel and one stud was broken, yep the last time that wheel was off was when I brought it in to have the tires I bought from quicklane balanced and an oil change, and I was charged 30 dollars to fix the broken stud. 5. BIG, after i took in the f350 and f250 i was told they needed all new upper and lower control arms about 1000 dollars at ford , I took them to another mechanic and he said the front end was good on both?

I'm used to places where they have a shack, a turnstile and you give some guy a couple bucks to go in. ISA has a large, spacious, air conditioned structure with a professional staff that is ready to point you in the direction of the vehicle you need. Speaking of which, finding the vehicles you're looking for couldn't be easier! There is signage! Honest-to-god signage that says things like "Ford Trucks" rather than "Domestic Truck / Van / Car." The yard is tidy, with nicely raised vehicles and without the flotsam and jetsam of discarded parts that normally litters the ground. Also, free of charge, they make wheel barrows available for you. How awesome is that?! Anyone who's lugged their toolbox around and then tried to figure out how they're going to get the parts they need up to the counter can agree that this idea works. The staff is very friendly, helpful and professional. The prices are good (for salvage parts, anyway) and the availability of vehicles is pretty decent. I was not expecting such a good experience, but I'm very happy to know that ISA is around!

Had to take off work early and everything. My ALIGNMENT was not bad at all. Not hardly even noticeable. They take my $60,000 car back. It is back there for LONGER than an oil change. The service guy comes out and says we didn't do the alignment because we need to order parts. He stated it is not that bad or noticeable as well. Those parts are 300$ + Did I want to order them? - I said I would think about it and let them know. I go to leave cause he said they were all done. I don't even get HALF a mile. My alignment is 100X worse. And pulling in the opposite direction. I call them and turn around immediately!! They drive my car. Take it in the back for another period of time. Then the manager comes out and says. Look I'll order the parts and we will pay for them. You'll just have to pay for the alignment portion. (Which I was only supposed to do in the beginning anyway) My 60,000 car now that they have messed up. I have to drive with it pulling so hard to the right. Prob ripping my tread day by day for 2 weeks. I call them to try and be nice since this is their fault. They will not help me resolve this problem. They will not offer me a car in return until then. They were completely unprofessional and basically called me a liar about my alignment issue. This is BS and not acceptable for this kind of business. For this amount of vehicle care. Worst costumer care, apprehension and concern. Absolutely appalling. This needs to be addressed and fixed immediately!! That was what I sent to the BBB Never take your car or truck here. Mechanic I can trust- SERVICE REVIEW:…read more I recently upgraded to a 2010 Scion XB from a Volkswagen Jetta and it was one of the positive most life effecting decisions I have ever made. Although I could list the multiple poor experiences I have had while owning my Jetta. I want to mostly mention the positive experiences I have had at this dealership. After I bought my Scion I wanted to get it inspected since it was a used car. I decided that I would take my car to this dealership knowing that they would be the best experts. My first interactions with the service department over the phone were very helpful. I was given exact directions and even made an appointment to come into the shop so there would be less wait time. After I explained that I wanted to get the $100 car inspected so I could mention any problems to the dealer before my warranty was up the service technician recommend to save money I should get an oil change instead. For Toyota every oil change comes with an inspection so the technician would just add on all of my inspection requests for the $35 oil change price. I also would then know the last time the cars oil was changed. I decided to get an oil change instead. When I returned to pickup my car the technician had a very clear inspection sheet about all the areas I should take to my dealer. In addition he even wrote me a letter with his concerns so I could have more leverage for the repairs I needed with the dealership. Due to the help of the Scion mechanics I got another $1000 in parts and labor for free from the dealership where I bought my Scion. (See my review of CarMax) During my initial visit the service technician registered my car with Toyota to show the change of ownership and printed out a preventative maintenance schedule so I could make sure to take care of my car. A few months later right as my car had gone 5000 miles I got a post card in the mail from the Scion dealership that it was time for my 35000 tune up and to call and make an appointment. I came in for my second appointment and just like my first encounter with the technicians I was greeted in a helping and professional manner. I was given a full detail report in clear written instructions what was preformed on my vehicle and the information was saved to my car's service account. When I pulled out my credit card hoping the cost would be under $300, I was asked for only $55 bucks. It seems like the dealership wouldn't even break even for the time it took to service my car! I have definitely found honest mechanics that care about customer service as much as they do about the car service. I look forward to having Scion as my primary dealership for the next 100,000 miles of my life.
