I took my car to DK and they couldn't find a reason why my tire was leaking. They gave me back my car with almost 10 psi less air in each tire. Fast forward a day later, tire still leaking. Thanks to the customer service person, Jesus, and the team at Big O. I was on my way from a memorial service and going to serve as an adjudicator for a high school tournament in Loveland. I was on a tight schedule. My tire warning light came on, although I could not determine any problems. I took my car into Big O, and explained my situation. Very frustrate. when you take your car to get fixed they miss it up and give you free oil changes to make up for it and manager does not honor the card. They go through so many managers. Came here to get a set of tires, after removing the tire warranty package (have car insurance no need to have tire coverage when insurance covers it) the "receptionist" for lack of better terms comes back and says oh you need a valve stem (nothing was wrong with the previous one held air just fine and released as well). Had no choice but to say ok and pay 89.99 for a stem. After the stem was installed and I get the vehicle back, the tire pressure light was illuminated (was told oh it will go off when it resets (never happened) came back the same day maybe an hour later they reset the light on the dashboard and it was off to the races I assumed. Made it back home and the light re presented it self, turned around to go back to the shop and arrived at the shop (3:30pm) and was told the master tech had left for the day and that I could come back anytime other than Wednesday's and sundays (it was a Tuesday) I work 7 days 12hr shifts and was unable to bring it back that week. Scheduled an appointment and had the service writer order the oem stem to replace the one they had installed. Fast forward the following weeks Thursday arrived around 8:15 let the writer know what I was there for and that the other writer had supposedly had ordered the original stem and was told "oh I don't know anything about that, I haven't seen it." Said ok and stepped out to safeway (next door grocer) come back and am told that the appointment was scheduled for 8am and that I'd have to hang tight as other "appointments" were there before me. Long story short I've wasted plenty of hours at the shop only for my car to have lights on that it didn't have before & a bad customer service. If no master tech was available why would they have taken the vehicle back to the shop on the day of the repair and "try" to fix it. I do not recommend spending hard earned money at this place as I believe that the only reason I "needed" valve stem is because I took off the road hazard to drop the price only for it to be raised back to the original price. Hopefully leaving here without any lights on my dash. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

Stopped in for engine light. Mgr/Nicholas came out w electronic tool to diagnose problem. He told me, needs new gas cap. Must get at Chrysler or auto supply store. I asked for a bill. No charge! Had an appointment at 11 to check for three things (check engine light, tire pressure light and oil leak). By 2:00 they had only checked the code for the engine light. Was told it would be several more hours to check the other stuff. I had another appointment so I had to leave. $170 and only 1 of 3 things I came in for was addressed (but not fixed). Was putting air in a tire indicating low pressure in my wife's 4Runner yesterday, and discovered a screw in the tire. I was close to Big O Tires, and stopped in just after 7am. Nat greeted me, took a look at the tire and said they could get me in right then. Sparky worked on the tire and patched the puncture. They had it done in less than 30 minutes, and then refused payment saying it was just a tire patch. Obviously, customer service means something to the folks here. Everyone at the shop was polite and professional. When we need new tires, this will be our first stop. I am not in San Francisco, not sure what up with Yelp, lol read more

Where to begin with this one. The building formally known as Midas. New name same shit service. Dropped my car off at 10 was told an hour. Hour half max. I'm like ok that's a reasonable time. Four hours goes by and I finally decided to call and they told me it has been sitting there since I dropped it off, The guy who was on the phone with me said that he apologized tremendously and he would give me a free oil change this time for the delay and get started on it as soon as he possibly could. I waited the 40 minutes it took after that said call and went and got it and the guy who told me that the free oil change was happening was no longer there. The manager there said he knew nothing about it even though he was told by this person that I was to have a free oil change. So unreliable, overpriced, and overall upsetting. I went there to get tires and only had a 1500 dollar limit. I talked to a guy named Tom he was great until he found out I wasn't going to get the more expensive tires he completely lost interest in helping me and answering my questions in a matter that I understood he treated me like I was a idiot. Then he really got distant when I couldn't afford the brake job that he said I needed which I know for a fact I didn't need brakes because I just had my mechanic install them a week prior. Brought my car here twice now and the most recent time for wheels grinding which isn't the greatest right before a road trip. The manager Jed and the rest of the techs took care of everything for me without extras I didn't need and it was just a couple hours. I have a VW and I want it taken care of very well and bringing it to this Big O has been better than any experience anywhere else. I love how you can tell other customers trust them too and it's rare to find these days a place that does quality work no Matter the car or issue. Strongly Recommend!! read more

I had an appointment set and they told me it would be done in an hour. I arrive back to the shop an hour later and they inform me that they hadn't even brought it back yet. I wasted five plus hours on waiting for this business to do the work even though I set an appointment. I was supposed to be done at 11:00 but officially got my car back at 4:00. Wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

Should be called Big-Zero! I had a slight leak in a tire and they took the car in after telling me it would be a little over $30 to patch it. Then they told me they could not patch it because the leak was in an area close to the sidewall (The leak was in the tread next to it). They wanted me to buy new tire(s). I pushed back a little and they would not budge so I had them remount the tire and I took the tire down the street to Discount Tire and Service, where they patched it with no charge. I asked them if I should be concerned about the leak being where it was and they said there was no problem. I will remember both of these businesses. read more

Wesley took great care of me today! I had taken my vehicle to Discount Tire in Longmont to get my snow tires off and all seasons put back on. When I checked in, they were recommending new tires saying the tread was getting low (they are stock tires and have about 2 1/2 years of wear on them). They called me after I dropped it off and told me they wouldn't be able to do it because of a tire that had previously been repaired and how it was repaired. They suggested new tires again. I felt like they were just trying to con me into buying a new set of tires. I drove to Big O Tires and explained the situation to Wesley. I asked if he could take a look at the tire. He looked at the tire and explained that the way the tire was fixed previously isn't a common practice anymore, but that they could safely remove the plug and fix it with a patch and then do my tire swap. He also checked my tread depth and it was more than what Discount was claiming it was. I appreciate the great customer service Wesley provided and his honesty! When it really is time for new tires, I will be giving my business to Big O Tires because of my experience with Wesley. Thank you for actually taking care of your customers and for not trying to take advantage of anyone! read more

I won't be going to this place anymore!! There prices are to high and their customer service sucks.I work in customer service and this would not be tolerable!! I have brought my car to them twice. Each time they never call to let me know my car is done. I have to call them and usually it right before they close. So I barely make it there in time to get my car before they close. I need my car for work!! I will only be going to Brakes Plus from now on. There prices are reasonable and they have way better deals. read more

I brought a wheel hub in to have two wheel studs replaced. I was called a few hours later to be notified that the hub would have to be disassembled and require a new wheel bearing for the job to be done and the store did not have the proper tool (hydraulic press) so they were going to borrow from another store. I got the part back two days later and paid $381. After installing it back on the vehicle my ABS, traction and several other dash lights came on and stayed on. After trouble shooting and replacing sensors I finally came to the conclusion that the bearing had been installed backwards and had to be turned around. I brought it into Big O and they acknowledged that it had been installed backwards and said they would do it the following business day. I called the next business day (5pm) and was informed that their hydraulic press was broken so the technician would bring the part to his home to do the work and I would get it back the next morning. The next morning (1030 AM) I got a phone call stating that the tech broke the bearing and they had to order a new one. Four hours later the store called and said my part was ready for pickup. I went down there promptly to get it and the part was only half assembled. They once again acknowledged that the fix was not complete and they would finish the job in an hour. I came back and it was finally complete. When installing the wheel hub back on the vehicle I noticed my brake caliper wouldn't mount without grinding against the rotor. Upon inspection I realized that the mounts for the caliper had been bent and the brakes wouldn't mount. The car is still not drivable. So this whole scenario of simply needing 2 wheel studs replaced ended up costing me $381, two full days off work, hours of extra troubleshooting and now I have to purchase and install a complete new assembly. I asked the service writer if there would be any compensation on my end due to the ridiculous chain of events it took to finally get the job done right and the only answer I received was a shoulder shrug and him saying "I already ate a $33 dollar part, there is nothing else I can do." My conclusion with this store is that if they weren't equipped to take on this task, then they should have just let me know that in the first place rather than put me through this roller coaster of misinformation and poor work practices. read more

We ran in to some trouble on I-25 (major interstate in Colorado) after being behind an accident and having no choice but to drive over the debris from the crash. My back tire got punctured and while driving 75 mph down the interstate my low tire pressure light came on. We got the spare on, called big o tires in Firestone, CO. and they told us to come on in. When I tell you they cared about us and our needs, I mean it. We were late to a game in Denver, and they helped us get in and out super quick. Each employee treated us with care and Alyssa made sure to help get us in as soon as possible so we could make it on time to our event. We were in an out in less than 45 minutes on a walk-in issue! We grabbed a bite to eat nearby and the car was done by the time we got back. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. I set up my appointment on july 1st for 8:00 am on july 8th. I got my tires ordered then and got confirmation they were in on july 2nd. July 8th i drop the truck of a 8:00 and was told by Jed it would be 1 1/2 hrs. So went for a walk and got back at 9:10 my truck was still in the parking lot. I went to Jed to see why it was not in yet and at that time was told he personally would get it in, he did just that he drove it in the shop. It sat till 9:30 and was finally put in the air and got the tires off and then sat again till 10:30. No communication during this time at all. At this time Alyssa gets in and trys to figure out what is going on for me that the tire i had ordered 1 week ago and got confirmation that they had got them are all of a sudden not there. Alyssa was great she helped as much as she could it seemed like her hands where tied a bit. At this time Jed finally comes to fill me. Tells me the tires are not there and he is not sure what happened to them because he is the one who received them in and that now they will have to go pick them up. I have another 1hr to wait for the tires to get there. So to sum it up my appointment for 8 that i should have been done with at 9:30 was finally done at 12:50 , Jed was terrible to deal with and I'm still waiting on my alignment report. read more

in March I called the store in Firestone to see if they could get a certain size drum break for my 66 Skylark I was told yes to bring the car in and they would get the breaks and put them on for me. After about 3 weeks I called the shop to see how the breaks were coming and when I could get the car back. I was told they couldn't find the right size drums for my car so we agreed to do a front break disc conversion. After another 3 weeks I called to see how it was coming along and was asked to come in for a test drive. when I got there the technician told me he didn't know if breaks on a classic car are supposed to stop different then on a newer car. when I got in my car to take it for a test drive the battery was dead and had to be jump started. when I took off in the car and tried to stop the breaks only slowed the car down there was definitely something wrong so I went back to the shop and explained to the technician that the breaks were not working right and should stop the car no made the year of the car. Another 2 weeks went by and I called the shop and they told me to come test drive it again. once again when I got there and tried to start the car the battery was dead which made me believe they had not even started the car or test drove it to check the breaks. this time the battery was fried and I had to drive to the local auto parts store and buy a new battery. I drove back to the shop and but the new battery in my car and took it for a short test drive to find out nothing had changed with the breaks. I once again told them that they were only slowing the car down and not stopping the car. They told me they would have to order some new parts. As I was standing there talking to the technician I noticed they did not have the brake pedal adjusted correctly and my brake lights are staying on and that is why my battery is draining. After 2 weeks more with no communication I called and was told they they are waiting on parts that should be in the next day and ready for pickup in 2 days. Again 1 week later with no communication I called and was told they need to order the parts that I was told they ordered. I lost all faith in the ability of them to accomplish this brake job and told them to give my car back. after looking at my bill I noticed parts like a battery cable that was not accepted by me they broke my locking lug nut and charged me for a replacement the bill says new brake lines were installed and that was false. I am now looking at taking legal action because I was charged 1500 for a job that was not complete after several changes and 3 months time. my vehicle is now unusable and will need to be towed to a real brake shop for repair. read more
