This Big O Cost us thousands in repairs that weren't done right and had to be redone. Neglect not actually inspecting things. Suggesting a bunch of crap that was perfectly fine. We are human beings struggling in these modern times, and sadly fell victims to these blood sucking vampires! The cherry on top? Lee at the front desk is extremely knowledgeable and helped me figure out the tires I needed to get that would be good for my work truck while fitting in my budget. I would avoid this business for tire replacement. My elderly dad just had his tires replaced in this shop right before we took a long distance trip. In his old age he forgot to do a high speed test drive. There was a bad shake at highway speeds and so we took it to a different shop to check and see if there was a problem not thinking it was the tires. Well the problem was all the tires were horribly out of balance, so much so that they had to not only do a normal balance but a forced balance also costing us $$ my dad doesn't have. read more

We took our car to Big O tires in Layton because of a noise on the front passenger side wheel well. They quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in about 5 minutes. When I asked how much I owed, he said there wouldn't be any charge. I couldn't believe it. They get my vote. read more

You only find issues every visit. It's a used car scheme. Use to be good but new ownership made it worse. Had a vehicle put thousands in there never could fix it finally said go to dealer. Come to find out big o put the wrong part in. Using an after market product nothing similar. I did get some tires before that but will go to other locations on the warranty. I set up an appointment online for a 9 AM appointment for an alignment at the Kaysville Big O Tires. It asks if you are going to be dropping off the car or waiting for it. I said I would be waiting for it and reasoned that if I set up an appointment I should be in really close to the time indicated. At 10 AM the car had not even moved. I asked them why the car had not been moved into the alignment rack. They said that there were others ahead of it. I can understand this, especially if I dropped it off same day, or indicated online that I would be dropping it off and leaving it. When someone schedules an appointment and the business cannot make good on it they should get their services for free. Many businesses will not even allow same-day drop off. Scheduled appointments are the norm now ,and also the norm now is in and out service, within that one hour period (assuming you are not having work done that takes longer than an hour). The two customer Service reps behind the counter (and I use that term lightly because customer service is far from what I received) were not apologetic whatsoever. I took my business elsewhere, down the street to Les Schwab. First time there and I was met with a happy, motivated customer service pro. They do not accept same-day appointments but promised that the vehicle would be in and out within that one hour time period at the scheduled appointment time. In these new times when appointments are the norm, poor customer service is not acceptable. The business should schedule its appointments to facilitate customer satisfaction, not their bottom line and business as usual! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! read more

22OCT2023 DO NOT GO HERE!!! if I could leave a no star rating I would. I am a confident mechanic that works on fighter jets and my own truck luckily I caught this scam! Took my truck to get an alignment and get all 4 tires torque to spec (only took them 30 min) upon checkout they did not provide a print result of my alignment due to "printers not working" and assured they torque my lug nuts. after leaving I noticed truck was still pulling hard right. Decided to go to the Big O in Layton because Kaysville location seemed off and not trustworthy. At Layton location I watched the mechanic do all the work took him about an hour to re align my truck the store in Layton then provided me printed results which everything was WAYYYY OFF! the following day I was inspecting my tires and found 6 lug nuts loose between the driver and passenger rear tires. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE GET YOUR MECHANICS STRAIGHT AND STOP BEING LAZY. read more

My experience here started off okay. After taking my car here after sliding on some ice into the curb a few friends had warned me about bringing my car here. Now I know why. I brought the car in on Friday Dec 10. My rack and pinion had snapped in my accident they told me that it would be done on Monday after the weekend. On Monday I called in and they said it would be done on Tuesday and Tuesday I called in and they said it would be done on Wednesday and so on until Friday when Brad called "as a courtesy on his day off" to try to upsale me on tires etc. He then said it would be done on Saturday. Saturday came and I received no call. I understand things come up, places get busy and things often take longer than expected, but all I wanted was a simple "sorry for the inconvenience and that this job took longer than expected." Instead on Monday, a week after it was said to be done, I calmly told Brad that I was frustrated about the lack of communication and poor customer service to which he replied " I wasn't the one who crashed your car," and I'll bet you that I got it done faster and cheaper than anyone else could have." I then told him I'm not going to bet him anything and that all I wanted was a simple " sorry for the inconvenience and lack of communication." Which I never got. Later on that day I called to ask a few questions about my insurance coverage for parts and I talked with Geoff the OWNER. I was sure this time I would be treated with more respect. Boy was I wrong. I told him I had had a bad experience with Brad and wanted to work with him from now on. He then asked what Brad had said I told him Brad had told me it wasn't his fault for crashing my car to which Geoff replied "well he's right." I was SHOCKED, yet I stayed calm and composed and asked to talk to the owner. a He let me know that he is the owner. My jaw dropped. He then told me this combo wasn't going anywhere and I told him all I wanted again was a simple " sorry, for the inconvenience and that we didn't communicate better with you " to which he replied that he would dump my car on the side of the road because I was being difficult and said this was all my fault, then he hung up on me. When I picked up my car yesterday Brad tried to argue with me and I shut it down and said "hust give me my car and my itemized receipt and I want to get out of here." Again I was shocked at the awful customer service. I never got a sincere apology. I then took my car to Les Schwab to get it looked over and they told me that Big o charged me $35 for a rack and pinion core charge which is unnecessary. And that Les Schwab would not have charged that. My husband and I own our own business and I would NEVER talk to a customer the way they talk to me much less the OWNER GEOFF! At 16 years old working at Little Caesars I had more common sense than these guys did. I learned you ALWAYS talk to the customer respectfully NO MATTER WHAT. I will never take my car back here and I will share my experience as much as I can to my family and. friends in the area. read more

I'm really happy with this Big O tire shop. Iget my oil changed and tires rotated here. It turned out that I needed new tires. They showed me what was happening with my old tires, explained all my options, checked a couple of things out for me that I was worried about and basically just went the extra mile in customer service. My son in law took my daughters car in to be fixed back in November. They were charged thousands of dollars for a repair that didn't work. They were charged for an oil change, 3 months later with not even 1000 miles on the car since the change, the oil is dirty. Did they really change it? My son in law isn't car savvy, so when the mechanic said they needed the part that was over a thousand dollars, my son in law had them replace it. He wanted to make sure the car was safe for my daughter to drive. I will ever take a car to Big O again. read more

Awful service, very vague and unclear, mumbling and rude employees. I took my car in for a discounted oil change, right of the bat the employee was rude on the phone when I asked if I needed an appointment. They called hours later to let me know of a "problem with my left alignment" mumbling and being unclear with what they were saying, i ultimately agreed though just in case something was wrong. Nothing was wrong. They ended up charging me hundreds of dollars more for something they were not clear about. I had 2 RADIAL tires on my motorhome go out on me, on a trip to Coral Pink Sand Dunes. When the second tire failed, I used the Kaysville store, since Big O in Brigham City has ALWAYS done me right. Kaysville employees argued among themselves about whether these replacement tires were RADIALS. They determined they WERE, and we were charged $422.01 after they were mounted and balanced, and paid the "freight charge" for them to be delivered. They are NOT radials. They have driven from Kaysville to Brigham and stored over the winter in open covered storage bay. Went to Brigham store and they couldn't find 4 to match. Kaysville store REFUSED to refund me, unless I buy MORE TIRES from them. Very unprofessional. Franchise stores like THIS ONE can ruin the reputation of the entire Company. read more

I got my tires on at Big O in Sandy. They were way over torqued and I couldn't get them off. I called this Kaysville location and they wouldn't even help me because they didn't want to be "Liable" if they broke. Every other Big O I called, including down the road in Layton, said they would be happy to help. They also mentioned that any Big O should be able to help. I had a flat tire, they do flats for free. I had to drop it off so I could get to school and when I came back the glove box, which was locked, was than unlocked. My windows were rolled down (which is scary because it had been sitting there for hours). But not only that, my doors were also unlocked! I'm glad I chose to take all my valuables with me because APPARENTLY they would have been safer at school than in my car. this was a couple weeks ago and i just had to go back to get the SAME wheel fixed. Worst experience ever. I took my car in because of a flat tire, which was under warranty through them. The older man who helped me wouldn't give me his name, but he had longer grey and white hair treated me like I was the stupidest person he was very rude. Our family has 7 vehicles we brought to this location for tires, oil and repairs. My daughters have both been ripped off by them. They come for an oil change and are told they need repairs. When my husband brings the same cars in--nothing. One daughter got a flat which they fixed. Next day it was completely flat again so she brought it back. They wouldn't fix it because they said the tires were bald even though they passed inspection. My son in law asked the guy with the goatee to come show him, he said no, he was too busy. My daughter drove to Les Schwab and spent $1000 on four new tires. They're not coming back. The other daughter took her car to Burt Brothers because it was making a weird noise. Went in to get new tires they said it would take 1.5 hrs. Came back 2 hrs later to find my car untouched. They then went on to say I'll have to wait an additional 2 hrs. I asked them why they didn't call or text with an update. They said they are too busy, and that this call its self is taking too long. They said I was ridiculous for complaining about them being busy, and that I was wasting their time. I said my concern wasn't in how long it was taking. Been to this location twice. Won't go back. Failed our vehicle for safety and emissions for a quarter inch slit on our windshield wiper. Just annoying they wouldn't pass it because of that. The real reason why I won't go back there is today I called them asking about warranties on their tires. We bought a set and haven't been on for more than 20k and they're worn out. I called them and discussed their warranty and basically said I'm SOL because we don't rotate our tires by them so they blame us because according to them we don't do it. I went in for my car not being able to pass an emissions test and my service engine soon light was on, I had to go in 4 different times, and I brought two other adults in there with me for two of those visits, and they agreed with me that the customer service towards me was very bad. I spent about 400-600 dollars trying to fix my car in those 4 visits and they didn't end up fixing the problem, I spent money on something that was not even causing the problem. They had a huge attitude, honestly I do not suggest going in to get anything done. And as a woman, I feel they take advantage of you. Call ahead to see if I needed an appointment to get my tires balanced. The representative said come down and we'll get you in. I drove down there right away and they ask if I can drop the car off, told them I couldn't and would need to wait for it, they said ok it will be about 45m, I said ok and handed my keys. 15m later he came out and said sorry we can't get you in and that it will be a couple hours. He said my rims were to big and need a special machine. My rims are 22 inches. SMH I have been having issues with my tires shaking since I bought my tires from a different location. I've told the advisor that my tires were incorrectly mounted and the yellow/red dot on new tires should be mounted where the valve stem is. Nope sent me on my way and since then all I have been having is issues with multiple locations. RIDICULOUS.
