Can't say enough good about this Les Schwab location! They replaced a valve stem on a 22.5" inside dual on my large class A motorhome. It involved breaking the tire down to service it. No one else in the area wanted to touch it. Special shout out to Oscar for the quick and very professional job he did. Also, Jenifer at the front counter for taking the time to put a quote together for 6 new tires, which I don't need yet, but I will be sure to consider them in the future. Everyone I talked with there was super friendly and acted like they really apricated my business, which is way more than I can say for the other tire stores I contacted. 50 minutes of waiting to speak to someone over the phone and they weren't even busy. The person who was supposed to inform the mechanic that i would like to speak to them simply walked away and left me sitting for almost an hour. When i finally spoke to the mechanic, he trivialised the fact that they blew me off and passed the buck by way of simply saying "I wasn't told" as if someone not doing their job but you didn't know about it makes it okay. read more

Worst service ever. I asked for an oil change and lube. 120 dollars later and 2.5 hours in and they tell me it's done. I asked if they greased all my zerks and they didn't even touch them. So now I'm have to wait again for them do finish a job they said they did. Terrible terrible service. Never again will I ever use Les Schwab for anything. read more

Came in because the splashguard on my car busted. Said they don't do appointments for that sort of thing when I called, so I came in and asked if they could check it out quickly and give me a quote because I had to get back to work. He said they should be able to get it back quickly. Waited 20 minutes and they still hadn't pulled the car in. Walked to the counter to get my keys so I could leave and the employee in the lobby at the time was, what appeared to be, the manager. He was having a conservation with a friend/customer, obviously not related to cars and I stood there for several minutes without being acknowledged before someone came in from the garage/bays and I asked for my keys back. Crappy alignment, rude customer service. The tech that worked on my car acted like he was all-knowing and my input was stupid. They told me a bolt on my car was seized when I had it loosened in my own garage earlier that morning. The only good thing they did was actually get my steering wheel straight. I'm disappointed that I had to waste $140 on an allignment and I will not be going there again. Head to Master Muffler down the road instead, they're much better. read more

A couple weeks ago I took a tire in to get repaired, they said it was fixed. Last Saturday the very same tire was very low again, so I took it in to get repaired again. When I handed over the keys, they said they'll look at it soon. Almost 2 hours later (just after they had closed) they told me the tire was too bald to work on. For as little as my wife drives, there is no way the tires got too bald to work on. As I'm talking to the guy to get new tires, he said the current set on my car have a 50,000 mile warranty, and I've only driven 31,000 miles on them. After he looks closer turns out they don't have a warranty, and the only tires they have at the store are the same ones with no warranty. Lastly, somehow two $215 are going to cost me just over $600. I didn't buy the tires because they were closed, and I was annoyed. All in all, a terrible experience from start to finish. read more

Today, I returned home from the Les Schwab in Layton, UT. I told my wife, "We will never never never go anywhere else for tires! We will always go to Les Schwab first!" We had a slow leak in one of our rear tires. My wife took our car to another tire center. They removed the tire to investigate. My wife was informed the nature of the hole made it irreparable. They proceeded to try and sell my wife 2 new tires which they didn't have in stock. I asked my wife to call Les Schwab to check pricing. Les Schwab had tires in stock but were more expensive. We are making a 300 mile drive today and I would feel better if I didn't have a slow leak in my tire to worry about. I went to Les Schwab in Layton, UT this morning. I explained the situation to Justin. I asked him to evaluate the leak and see if it was repairable. If not, I asked him to go ahead and put on 2 new tires. I even told him another tire center said it wasn't repairable. After a short wait, our car came out of the service bay and I was called inside. The tech was able to repair the tire. He acted like the repair was no big deal. I wonder if the other tire center saw this as an opportunity to sell tires rather than fix them. So, instead of trying to sell me 2 new tires, which they could have easily done. They did the right thing and fixed the problem at no charge. This is why I will always return to Les Schwab for tire and brake service. This was the fifth tire repair they've never charged me for. I'm a customer for life! read more

Unfortunately I can no longer trust this location to work on my vehicles. Long story short. They tried to sell me parts I didn't need. Broke parts and charged me for them. And was ok with me driving on an unsafe tire, puting myself, my vehicle and everyone around me at risk. The time had come for some new tires. After getting tires changed they said my break pads had less than a millimeter of pad left. I asked them to show me and they ended up being completely fine. The mechanic then sad "I'm surprised you actually know what you are doing" Then when it's time to check out they charged me for 2 TPMS sensors. They were working perfectly fine before so I ask if they broke them when they took the tires off (very common). They said no they just needed to be replaced. I ask "Why didn't they replace all 4?" They responded, "We were able to save 2" I ask to see the ones that they replaced. Of course they were thrown away and couldn't be found. About a week later I drive over a rock and it cuts a half dollar sized slice into the core of the tire. Seeing this as an opportunity to test them like they tested me I brought it in to this same location. I was hopefull at first. The employee saw it was down to the core and said they would replace it. Knowing it was unsafe to just patch it I said, "Maybe it just needs a patch, as long as it holds air" No response...so, I leave it with them to see what they do. Later that day I get a call saying the tire is done. I go in expecting a new tire but, instead I got a patched tire. It held air but the slit was still floping around and everything. I load it up and they let me drive off without a word of caution. I call into their store and ask if it is safe to drive on a patched tire in that condition. They said no, and they wanted to take a look at the tire. When I brought it in they took one look at it and immediately wanted to swap it for a new tire. I said I would take it to a different location and they understood. To the guys at Les Shwab No mater how much the customer knows, whether or not you like them, or how much money you think you can get out of them, they are trusting you to be honest and to do the right thing. People's lives depend on your work. If you can't appreciate that, you shouldn't be a mechanic. Integrity guys, Integrity. read more

Someone answered and asked how far away I was. I said that I was 10 minutes away. They said I should hurry down because they'll wait. Talk about awesome service! This is my first time dealing with Les Schwab Tire Centers. I would say Saturday's are horrible days to go to a tire store. The service was really good even though a long wait was required. Les Schwab Tire Centers are pretty nice and have TVs and popcorn for you while you wait. This center has a computer that lets you choose your car and see it with different tires and rims on it. The staff is very friendly and explained what was done to the vehicle and gave advice as necessary. Fixing a flat is ~12.75 per fix which includes sealing the bead area of the rim if your rims are pealing chrome. I would give Les Schwab tire centers my business again. Cannot give them a 5 as I have had good service at other tire centers as well and not sure which I like most. read more

I've been coming here since the branch opened around 10 years ago. I have never found a more solid, personal, professional, and cost effective business. The Manager Kent leads a team that seriously goes above and beyond to service 6 vehicles for me. I get tires for trailers, motorhomes, trucks, and cars. Today I had a road hazard tire repaired, and all 4 tires on two other vehicles balanced in under an hour. Paid for a set of tires to be mounted and balanced and was told had to rebuild TPMS sensors at 20.00 a wheel Was told they wouldn't service and put on the snow tires unless they rebuilt them. So paid the bs markup for rebuild and went down the road. Now when I take in older vehicle for a mount and balance they don't even replace the valve stem on an old set of tires. Put shiny new caps on to cover up they didn't replace them. Now I have two tires flat less than a week after having them mounted. So where is the wont service without new valve stems policy. Either I was screwed over last time or this time. I did automotive for over 20 years and never once mounted and balanced a new set of tires without replacing the valve stems. Cheap part for assurance of not getting a flat from an old valve stem that you have no clue how old it is. This place has gone down hill and their management has no clue about customer service. I left work late on a rainy evening to find my back driver's side tire almost completely flat. This is a new to me used vehicle, but I had never taken it to this tire center. It was almost closing time when I arrived, but the Layton Les Schwab Tire crew took care of me. They removed the sheet metal screw from the center of the tire at no cost to me!!! I've always had great experiences with les Schwab! My parents are the one that recommended me to go there when I became the age to drive! I haven't regretted it since! Today I went in there expecting to pay for my car... which is fine. But when I dropped my car off they called me back at the exact time frame they had given me! Very professional and I felt well taken care of! The best part was... I didn't have to pay, which was extremely courteous of them. Even tho I had the intent on paying. Took truck in for tire rotation. Was told tie rods and ball joints needed replaced. My wheel bearing went out and it was replaced. Took truck back in and had it checked and tie rods and ball joints had repaired themselves. Magic. Took car in and was told same thing because tires were worn out on inside. Had car aligned and problem was fixed. Took Toyota in and had CV axel drivers side replaced. Drove car 5 miles and would not move. CV axel came out leaving us stranded. They were good enough to send to truck and put different CV joint in. Now the car shakes horribly and can not be driven above 50 mph. Shakes when you give it gas. They said they put CV joint in for American made car and it should have been Canadian made car. If you look at VIN this car was made in Japan so I'm guessing still has wrong CV joint in it. This company does not appear to know what they are doing or talking about. My Toyota is ruined and not drivable. Can not afford to replace. This is 3 errors they have made on my cars all 3 times I have been there. Do not take your car there for any type of diagnostics. They also way over charge on their tires. Have lost my business. read more
