I was in Lakeville for a Pickleball tournament from out of town (Michigan) and noticed my low tire warning light come on in the rental car we drove. I filled up the tire but the next day it kept losing air. My tournament did not get finished until 3pm on Saturday and I stopped to see if they could help us at 3:15. Matt Bollig and his crew were scheduled out and said they would do their best to look at it before closing at 6. I told them we were needing to leave for home the next morning early (7am) for the 9 hour drive home. By 5:30 they were able to get us in and finish the repair to the tire that had picked up some metal which was making the tire lose air at a pretty decent rate. This excellent service was icing on the cake since I won two events in the tournament I was in town for. Thanks again for the great customer service one doesn't see much these days! I've been to this location a few times now. First for a new set of tires, then a new battery. Today I hopped into my car and was notified that I had a flat tire. I inflated the tire and took it into this shop (where I had originally purchased the tires). The had my car in and out of the shop in about an hour, even though they were actually pretty busy. Everyone at the shop has always been courteous and professional and I have always been happy with the work performed here. read more

I received a call from Lonnie advising the tires I selected were not available and he took the time to go over what he had in stock and to answer all my questions. When I arrived, the front desk staff was as accommodating and friendly as Lonnie. The customer service at this store is 2nd to none. I highly recommend for any tire/ alignment service. My first visit was great when I needed new tires. They let me store my car there while there was a snowstorm a year ago till I got my all seasons. This last November, however, I came back to get a mirror replaced and an oil change. The appointment Wednesday was canceled on me, so I was forced to do Friday. This place had fallen by the wayside the last couple years. Appointments don't seem to matter. An oil change will take hours. Today I had an appointment at 3:30 for oil change and tire rotation. They said they would call when they were done. After not hearing For hours I tried calling and it just rings. No way to leave a message. Finally got a ride there after not hearing anything, they are closed and my car was unlocked in the parking lot. My family has been taking our cars there for years but doubt we will anymore after this and other recent disappointing visits. read more

I wish I were able to rate this business with 0 stars. This all started 8 months ago when purchasing 2 sets of tires for 2 vehicles. BOTH SETS ON BOTH VEHICLES LEAKED. I was told they were leaking from the valve stems. 1 vehicle was fixed with 1 stop, the other vehicle took 2 visits to 2 locations. Fast forward 6 months and I have a leak again. Bring it in to be fixed when I am told it is again a valve stem. A week later it's leaking again. When I went into the shop and I was explaining my issue and frustration, a lady walks out of the back telling me she has the mechanic on the phone and he said it was a hole in the tire that needed to be patched and not a leaking valve stem. About a minute later the mechanic walks out of the back room and starts explaining. (He was in the back room and NOT on the phone.) I am told they will need to order a new tire and it can't be fixed until the next day but it's covered under warranty. Upon picking up the vehicle I am charged $30. I have missed 3 shifts at work and have spent countless hours dealing with tire issues at a shop that specializes in tires. Absolute joke. read more

On Wednesday, I noticed that the air pressure in my driver's side front tire was very low and it looked as though I may have a leak. So, I filled up the tire and then proceeded to call Big O Tires to make an appointment for them to fix the leak as I have Road Hazard Warranty and a 3yr Wheel Alignment Program for all four tires from when I purchased the tires. I paid even extra care in asking if everything would be covered under the warranties still and was given an affirmative confirmation. However, the earliest appointment was for today, Saturday at eleven am, three days away from when I noticed the problem. I only drove with absolute necessity on the tire the last three days to be cautious. I arrived promptly at eleven am this morning for my appointment. I walked outside with the gentleman for him to get some information from the vehicle. After coming back inside I confirmed what I had all ready discussed when making the appointment from before about the front driver's side tire and the potential leak. I also asked about them doing my included alignment under the warranty of the tires. I was assured everything would be taken care of. So, I then proceeded to go next door to Caribou Coffee to get a coffee and enjoy the wait in their facility near the front windows in view of Big O Tires. An hour and a half later, after no word of the vehicle or any phone call, I decided to walk back over next door to check on the status of my car. I went inside to hear the guy at the front desk talking casual in leisure conversation with a gentleman there at the counter. After their conversation was completed, I approached the guy and asked about the status of my car. He excused himself and went into the shop and within moments had returned. The guy started informing me that my "back strut was shot and I also needed to get my back drum breaks on my wheels changed as well." I was of coarse startled for several reasons. First and foremost, I brought my car in for my front driver's side tire that needed to be fixed or replaced due to leaking air. Second, I have a Toyota Avalon that has 4 wheel Disk Breaks, no drum breaks on the back two tires. I told him that I was there for my front driver's side tire leaking air and also for an alignment to be done. He said to me that that's also what they found. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He continued to inform me that there was a nail in the front left tire near the sidewall of the tire that could not be repaired. I in turn reminded him about the warranty and said at least the tire was covered as I had been reassured. He in turn said that it would not be. I asked why when I had the Road Hazard Warranty and the 3yr alignment package. He said that they would replace my tire with a percentage ($15) off but would also be charged for shop charges and labor. Wow. I was angry that I had been misled, waited three days to get into the shop, and waited an hour and a half before I then came back for a status update, only to find that they haven't done anything to the tire or car then to find "discoveries" about my back strut and non-existent drum breaks on the back tires. I asked why I wasn't contacted sooner about the situation. I was informed by a second guy that it had been really busy at the shop with a lot of customers and phone calls. The things to remember about this is that I had made an appointment three days in advance to take care of this, I have been waiting an hour and a half, and I was right next door where I could clearly see that the shop was not busy with customers coming and going. The guy behind the desk said that it was really weird that the phones had been quite and the lobby not busy for the past fifteen minutes that I was standing there getting the status update on my car. I was furious that I had not just been blatantly lied to about how busy they were with people coming and going but also that they were saying that I needed to buy two front new tires now at a discounted rate of about $15 but then I would be charged shop fees, tire disposal fees, and labor fees on top of it. I asked them if they had done anything in the past hour and a half of having my vehicle. They said just finding the nail in my tire and they have previously told me about the "problems" with the back tires. He had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to go ahead and to proceed with replacing the front two tires. I told them that I wanted my car back and that I would never return to this store again. I didn't want them touching my car ever again and what used to be the situation of me recommending their store to others, has now deteriorated into my distrust of their store and service. I received my car back and promptly left without one repair being done after an hour and a half of my day had been wasted. I'd recommend against Big O Tires in Lakeville, MN. I'll be going to Christian Brothers Automotive in Apple Valley, MN for now on for all my auto needs. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY DO NOT HONOR APPOINTMENTS. Came into this location to get a winter tire swap a few days ago. Was advised that they were insanely busy and was told they couldn't take me in for a few days. I accepted this statement but they were so aggressive eeben though I was able to wait. I did go ahead and make an appointment for 4 days later at 5pm. Finally when I went into the location to get my tires swapped; I was advised they won't do it. I told them I had an appointment but they ignored this fact even though I made it in person at their store. The service rep even took a drop off/ walk in without and appointment right when I walked in and told them they could have their car back in 1 hour. How is it that I can't get service without a appointment made days ago and somebody can get service for a walk in??? If I was told they during my initial appointment days ago I could have changed my tires elsewhere. Overall, if you want to go to a dishonest serivice provide with no respect for the customer please feel free to come to this Lakeville location. read more

Very terrible customer service and unprofessional staff. Made an appointment for Wednesday and in the morning got a call and was told the manager forgot to put this in the system and needed to reschedule. Then only time available was Friday evening which was very inconvenient. Told I would get $5 off my bill and ended up getting $2 off and manager could not help me, told 30 mins and waited 1 hour and 20 min for an oil change. Manager was coaching a staff member out on the floor in front of customers. Also joking about putting nails in tires. I did not feel welcome and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I usually feel like the other places I have been to I was completely taken advantage of and told even though I just needed an oil change I had one million things wrong. As a long-time manager myself, and a 16 year veteran of the mortgage industry, I know what good customer service looks like, and these guys are the epitome of just that. I sincerely cannot say enough good things about the level of service, care and concern that I experienced today. I had been trying to get roadside assistance for three days (which sounds insane I know), and they could not get to me because all of the towing companies were overwhelmed due to the extreme cold conditions. We had no way to get the vehicle into Big O Tires, so the only other option was to bring the wheel/ tire and but we did not have any equipment to remove it unfortunately. When I went into the shop, they literally lent me a $700 jack, and told me that if I walked next-door I could get the tire iron that I needed. Once I brought everything back, they literally had me out the door and on my way within 15 minutes. Furthermore, Austin, the gentleman who happened to be working the front desk happened to overhear that my friend really needed to get going because he was missing his son's birthday, so he comes up to me and tells my friend to get going and he will give me a ride home. Not CALL me a ride...but personally drive me home and in his own vehicle. If all that wasn't enough, they literally did not charge me a dime for any of this, including the time they took to repair my tire. I could go on and on about all the things that the employees did collectively to make this such a positive experience, but I will just sum it up by saying, if you want the job done right, and done by professionals that truly care, Big O Tires in Lakeville, MN is the place to go! read more
