I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. They confirmed the Lexus was a solid vehicle and gave us confidence moving forward with the purchase. The inspection wasn't just a checklist. It was an education. They walked us through the vehicle, explained what they were seeing, pointed out what mattered, what didn't, and what we should expect down the road. Their advice also helped us negotiate the purchase price, saving us $500, which more than covered the cost of both inspections. What impressed me most, though, was the people.
