We encountered an instant flat in Tesla Model X on 1-15 just outside Lehi. Working with Tesla roadside service we arranged a tow to Big-O-Tires. Prior to the tow I called BOT and found that the tire we needed was not in stock but could be there by the afternoon. I paid $50 deposit and had the tire ordered. 30 minutes later we were towed and arrived at the BOT. I took an Uber to work. By 3:30pm BOT called and informed me the tire was replaced and I could pick the vehicle up. I came by at 5:30, paid and left. The BOT team was great. read more

I took my car in for new tires at 4546 S 900 in SLC.. I was upsold on tires by Steve Peterson. Because I was spending more now on "Better Quality Tires" I told Steve that I could not spend anymore money and wanted to make sure Free alignment was included because I knew my car would need to be aligned .. Steve Peterson assured that was that the free alignment was included and pointed to me sheet Free Alignment and total price of $1,200.25. I waited all day for them to change my tires, noticed that greasy worker got into my car without putting protective matt down, left black grease all over. When my car was finished Steve Person said he now had to charge me extra because my car was way out of alignment. Steve Peterson would not release my car until I paid extra charges. So now my new fee was $1,318.56 Never again will I got back to Big O in Salt Lake! read more

Another satisfying visit to the Lehi Big-O. Grew up in the area & my family was always loyal customers at the AF location because they were treated right so I naturally I went their for my first car as well. Then they went under new management and the immediate commission became more important than customer service. They even tried to "hold" my keys unless I let them up-sale me once, claiming that the car was "unsafe" to drive because I wanted the standard repair not the more expensive addition to the repair. Switching to the Lehi location was the best decision I ever made as they recognise a happy loyal customer is the more profitable customer in the long run. All of my family in the area has now made that same decision as well. read more

Went in for an oil change and was up sold to the higher grade oil which was fine. What the problem was is that when doing the oil change they broke a piece of my oil pan and needed a replacement part. They replaced it but then I had an oil leak. They've now fixed that within 5 minutes of me taking it back and complaining but come on. Just felt like they aren't really giving a shit about their customers. read more

I would rather go to the DMV than Big O. I came in for a tire that's low. In the meantime, the three people ahead of me finished and two people that came in after me have walked out with their cars. Feedback: I wish there was a little more communication or an explanation as to why it's taking over an hour and people behind me have gotten their cars sooner. I was really, really impressed with the customer service here! I've gone to 2 different Big O Tires and each time they've been respectful, affordable, helpful, and honest. I went to replace a couple of tires that were getting a little bald and also requested that they check my brakes that had begun squeaking. I was worried my brake pads had worn down and needed to be replaced. They gave me several options to replace my tires in several price ranged and checked my brakes for free. They told me that my brakes were still operating fine and that I should get them replaced soon but it wasn't urgent. I was impressed that they weren't using fear tactics or upsells like I've experienced other places. There was a bit of a wait, but the experience was worth it. I'll definitely be back. read more

On top of that...I had new tires put on last week and asked for me to come back to get the new alignment. Came back and they charged me for my so call free-alignment with new tires. You go in there and every employee makes it feel like you are burdening them. I have brought my cars here for years and every time we get the same "what do you need" and they seem like you are making them go out of their way for an oil change. Multiple other shops that have way better customer service and will get your car done faster even on a busy day. read more

***UPDATE*** - I don't know who Lana is, but I was working with someone else and I won't mention names. What Lana said is not true at all. 1) I was never told anything about coils being the start of the repairs and I may need more. I was told "this will fix it." 2) I never left and came back with my check engine light on. When I went to pick up my car, the check engine light was off but the problem was still there. Like I said above, I backed out of the stall, turned right back around and back into the stall. I didn't leave at all. Either the tech doesn't remember what happened 5 days ago (possible), the tech lied to Lana (which if Lana is the boss, then probable), or Lana is not telling the truth to save face, and I don't know Lana so I won't speculate on that. All I know is, when I go to Les Schwab and they make a mistake, they own it and take care of it. Big O in WVC in the 90's did the same. This Big O does not. Consumer beware. read more

I have been back a couple of times. Each time I have been greeted promptly, treated more than fairly and my tire related repairs were always done quickly and professionally. They've not yet failed any of my expectations and the North Ogden Big-O set that bar really high! The last time I went in I even noticed that everything looked cleaner and brighter. When I came in having been advised of needing new tires by a gas station in Beaver, Chet, who took care of me, said let's check it out, the stations in Beaver have a reputation. Went in on Friday with my oil filter and 5q of oil to get the basic oil change done. Everything has gone well and cost was rather low. After getting home and changing my spark plugs I have noticed that the oil filter was different from the one that I had provided. That was really disappointing due to the fact that they have few really good technicians on hand that can well take care of any vehicle. read more

The found a few other things that If hadn't noticed, My car's engine would have over heated @ the engine & transmission would have been ruined and I've taken great care of this car, the mechanic Nick knew the answer to to all of my questions. Worst service I've ever had. Super slow. They didn't get to my car for at least a half hour before working on it. Through the window I saw the boys sitting down and talking. Then finally when the boys started working on my car, they started yelling and swearing the entire time. On this particular visit I would give them only one star but since I did not verify what the kid was telling me and took his recommendation, I will take some of the blame. The issue is that I got new tires and I explained that I would be hauling a small (1500 pounds) popup camper in the bed of the truck. So I wanted a recommendation for the best tires. The tires they recommended were normal P rated tires. Even though they say they can support the weight, those tires bulged a lot more than what I felt comfortable with when the camper was in the back of the truck. After a few phone calls and getting the run around, I came to the conclusion that they gave me horrible advice and I was stuck. I then went to another tire shop and ended up buying another pair of brand new tires, for the rear, but this time I got E rated 10 ply tires. So now I have an extra brand new pair of tires sitting in my garage. A few of the things that the Big O person tell me is that I could put more air in my tires. They suggested I purchase air bags if my tires were budging and making the back of the truck too low. (Like what???) So the recommendation is that if you buy tires at Big O's is to verify what they are telling you and make sure they are giving you the best thing. Actually, you might just go somewhere else where they will take time and really understand what you are going to be doing with the vehicle. read more

Not a good place. I came in to get my winter tires switched over and they did a very poor job rebalancing my tires. My vehicle shook line crazy. I brought it back the next morning at opening for them to fix their mistake, they said they would get to it in 10 minutes, it took them 45 just to start it. When I told them I was trying to go on a family vacation to Colorado and this was setting my family back, they were not helpful or kind or apologetic. I will not go to this business again, and I would advise others to avoid it as well. There are plenty of other tire store out their with far better service. read more

This last time I waited 10 minutes for the guy to get off the phone while he spoke to management. On a road trip over the weekend, I had some tire issues with my Audi. I got my tire fixed (at a different location) and decided to get my oil changed while I was there. This other location changed a part without asking me and made a mistake, but I didn't notice until Sunday when I was driving home. I took my car to the Big O in Lehi and explained what happened. They were pretty backed up and I showed up within an hour of closing, but they made sure to check it out for me. They ended up fixing the part and topping off my oil for free. They explained what had gone wrong and made sure I was entirely taken care of before I left. Great service from when I got there all the way until I left. read more

My rear tire had a leak and they were able to detect it and patched it up for free and sent me off in 15min. Every tech there were very pleasant and helpful. I was really happy with the service so I decided to have my alignment done there as well. They finished everything for me (both alignment and patch) within 30min. these guys have screwed me over so many times i can't even remember them all, but the most recent one was the last straw. We went in to replace a tire that had a nail in it. The next week we discovered that another tire had a nail in it that whole time, AND the other two tires were bald because of misalignment. Therefore i had problems, VISIBLE problems with ALL FOUR tires and no one even bothered to look at them. One tire was so worn that the metal bands were exposed, which is an incredibly dangerous driving situation but they never mentioned it. I'm so sick of being jerked around by these guys. I am NEVER going back. forget your free tire rotation. Not worth it. I called to ask what they were going to do to make up for their shoddy service, and the response from someone claiming to be the owner, (which i question because I've never had the owner answering the phone at any establishment,) offered zero solutions to make up for their neglect. When we brought the car in and showed them the damage from misalignment, DESPITE the fact that this was the third time we had that same vehicle in within a month, they showed no care whatsoever. Apparently they had plenty of business and couldn't care less about losing one customer. Shameful customer service. The comments by the store are incredibly disingenuous and are entirely mischaracterizing the event. I called the store BEFORE my wife showed up for service and pointed out that you guys have neglected basic visual checks over and over and over. You guys had your chance to make things right when i called earlier this week. I asked DIRECTLY what your company was going to do to make up for such extreme neglect of basic services. The answer was absolutely nothing. You made it very clear that there wasn't anything you cared to do, so why would I keep dealing with your careless nonchalant service agents? And the store also forgets that this is a long standing pattern of neglect. Months ago i complained about a wobbly tire on my OTHER car and was told it was no big deal and the wobble would go away after time. Well now i have ONE tire that's completely worn out while the rest have plenty of life left to them. We have purchased tires here several times, and as far as tires go, they're ok. It's nice to have free repairs and rotations. Last time I went I. To get a repair from a nail, they were friendly and quick. Afterwards I noticed my tire rotation was way overdue. You'd think they would have mentioned that while I was there. After all it's in their records right there! So a couple weeks later I went back for rotation, and I asked them to check my wheel bearings as my car was making a whirring noise. They came back and said I need two bearings, brakes, rotars and pads and over $1900! Busted!! Because here's the deal, my husband has been a mechanic for over 40 years, and a darn good one at that! He just can't do the work right now because he's laid up from an injury. Short story, we went to an honest, reliable mechanic and he fixed my ONE bad bearing and rear brakes (that's all that was wrong) for $457. No more tires from you BigO. Liars only get one chance with me. It's true that some of these shops really take advantage of who they THINK are stupid, clueless women. Not this girl. Went in to get my emergency brake fixed. Figured it was a simple tightening of the cable. They quoted me $1152.00 for the fix. Knowing what the issue was and simply not wanting to do it myself I asked if there was a cheaper option and was told no. I told them to not do anything and that I would be right back to pick it up. I took it to my mechanic to get his opinion and, what do you know, it's about a $150/job and that was to do more than Big O was going to do. I would not recommend Big O to anyone. But, at least it is a good teaching experience to my kids to never trust someone and to always verify. read more

I have been going to this Big O store for 6 years now and recommend them very HIGHLY. I have worked on my own vehicles for the last 40 years but would now rather spend my time doing other things. As such, I know when someone is trying to take advantage or does NOT know what they are doing or talking about. The Pros at Big O Lehi are as honest and knowledgeable as they come. Even though I have moved to a town further away, I will make the drive every time to this location. On the outside chance you go to this location and feel that you are not being treated right, SPEAK UP ! This was my go-to place for oil changes and tires. I had purchased 2 sets of truck tires from this location. I went in for a simple oil change, tire rotation, inspection. I waited, as I didn't have much of a choice. 3 hours later i inquired about my vehicle. They had changed the oil, then moved it to the back of the line without finishing the other services I needed. I get that mistakes happen, but the guy helping me was completely non apologetic. Not so much as a 'sorry about that'. I was assured no more than 30 minutes. 40 minutes later (with only 2 others waiting who had shown up AFTER me) I asked what the status was. There was some confusion, my car was in a "tire bay" and they'd done nothing. NOTHING. I called to see if they were busy, was told there was an opening to come on in for an oil change. Arriving 10 min later, I was told it would be an hour wait. Ok, I understand maybe someone came in before me in the last 10 min. After grabbing lunch with my 4 yr old, we returned 45 min later to see our car still in the parking lot. I was optimistic to think maybe it was done since the gentleman behind me was waiting on his truck in the shop. Nope. My car hadn't been started. I came in for a pre-purchase inspection on an old Subaru Forester. The mechanics spent around 30 minutes and did a thorough job. The man who helped me (I don't remember his name, but he conducted himself like a proprietor) was incredibly helpful, and talked to me for at least 5 minutes, telling me everything that was wrong with the car, how much it would cost to repair, and his own advice. I was only charged ~$22. If l lived in the area, I'd definitely be a repeat customer. read more

We asked and were told it would be next. Then watched as another car was put in the oil change station before ours. We had to ask again when it would be our turn. And a half hour later we finally got to leave. They are slow and only have one oil change station. The most frustrating thing was that they weren't busy, we were told it wouldn't take long, and we watched as 2 cars that got here after us, got their oil changed before us.
